The commerce section of the DU.
Learning Experience: My learning experience here is been a rollercoaster ride. In my initial years the commerce and accounting were passing over my head but eventually with the help of my friend I slowly started understanding it. Economics and taxation became my favourite subject. I got strong foundation for my banking and everything. The training experience for me is very much limited. The pros here is that it has a flexible schedule but the cons is the limited timing.
Placements: The placement process exists here for B.Com Hons but very much limited. Most of the students try to get off-campus placements. Most the banking and financial companies hires students of the campus with a basic salary. the roles mostly offered are finance executive, tax assistant, etc.
Faculty: My faculties are very much well prepared and all of them try to solve the doubts through the online mode. The lecturing quality may be boring in the initial days but when you start getting engaged with the teachers it will be fun and entertaining. The assignments may be heavy but it is the only way to test the skills about commerce.
Course Support: There are recorded lectures of the teachers in case if someone missed the lecture. The study materials are provided by the college. There is online portal available for important notices like examination dates, result announcements, etc. The student gets very much benefits from the study material provided by the campus.

Overhyped, but a nice environment that encourages growth.
Placements: As I am pursuing a B.A. History Honors course. There are fewer chances of placements in this field. The internship package is usually around Rs. 20,000 per month. However, it can sometimes go up to Rs. 40,000. Approximately 47% of students get placed in the archaeology field.
Infrastructure: The department and college have all facilities, including air-conditioned classrooms and a library with a large number of books. Wi-Fi is available on campus. The hostel is good with all basic amenities. The canteen is affordable. Medical facilities are also provided. There is a gym area and a sports complex with all the necessary equipment.
Faculty: Teachers are very supportive. They are highly qualified and have good mentoring skills. They provide proper guidance to students. Environment is engaging and positive. Before semester exams, mid-semester exams are conducted to help students prepare well. A 40% pass percentage is required.
Other: Fests are very good, and famous celebrities have visited. The environment is secure, safe, and happy.

A campus with green land and flowers.
Placements: Maitreyi College offers the best placement to genuinely skilled students. Skills are developed when you are part of something meaningful and useful. Companies also offer jobs to students who have current skills and knowledge.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Maitreyi College is very beautiful. There are lots of flowers and trees on the campus. The NSB rooms are well furnished, and clean drinking water is available on campus. Water coolers are also available, so please choose Maitreyi.
Other: To be honest, I never wanted to take admission in the sociology department, but unfortunately, I got it. However, this course and professors changed my whole perspective about the world and society. Being a part of DU Maitreyi College is one of my best experiences because it is not just a place. Here we gain knowledge, but also where we learn moral ethics.

Faculty is good, but the infrastructure and campus facilities are very basic.
Placements: I do not really think students depend on the college for placements. Hardly 5–10% of students get placements through college recruitment. The rest do it on their own. The internships offered are very average and not really worth investing time and energy in.
Infrastructure: College campus is too small, smaller than my school campus. Infrastructure is outdated, and proper maintenance is rare to find. Even the washrooms are not properly managed, and neither are the electric switches. The canteen is small. If you get a seat to sit, consider yourself lucky.
Faculty: This is the only good part about the college, as faculty is good and very helpful, but only if you wish to seek help. The curriculum is quite good and interesting, which helps in the practical world. However, if you have an ignorant attitude towards academics, then you are in trouble.
Other: Overall, the college experience depends on your goals and priorities. If you are looking for a proper Bollywood-style campus life, fun, and high-level opportunities, then I do not think you should consider this college. I ended up here because I opted for this college in my preference list, along with 20 other colleges, without being aware of much about it.

It was a good college and I got a good experience. I enjoyed it very much.
Placements: More than 70 percent of students got placed. The highest package was of 10 LPA and the lowest was of 3 LPA. HCL Tech was the top company. Many students got internships from my college. Marketing and operations were the top roles offered. Every company was good as they provided a good opportunity.
Infrastructure: It had a good library and it was fully air-conditioned. Classrooms were good. We had a good lab. Library was having good Wi-Fi. The good water facilities were there. The canteen was good as it provided good food. They were providing good food and healthy options.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful and they provided good support. They helped me with my difficulties. There was a good quality teacher. Semester exams were not very difficult it was easy. If you study well, then the exams will be really easy. This course made students ready if they want to go into the banking sector.
Other: It was a good course because I had to do MBA so this course was required and it could easily give me a good job. There were good events and fests in my college.

Just satisfied with my college.
Placements: Motilal Nehru College did not have a placement cell earlier. So the placements are from students' own efforts from different platforms. From batch 2025 the placement cell has been provided and they actually have really good internship opportunities for students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for my course is great. It's just some rooms are small. There is Wi-Fi connectivity and the library also has great sources for preparation for my course. Motilal College doesn't have its own hostel. Medical facilities are okay there as recently I witnessed that the medical room closes before 6:00 PM but classes continue till 7:30 PM. Sports facilities are also 4/5. There is availability of sports grounds, basketball court, football ground, badminton ground, and volleyball ground. Water coolers also provide clean drinking water.
Faculty: Teachers for my course are highly qualified and they really excel in teaching. Besides book knowledge they provide us with real-life examples too. The course is relevant and makes students industry-ready I think because the combination of economics and Maths is highly great combination where one gets an understanding and economic overview whereas the other provides a calculation strategy. Semester exams difficultly level is moderate. Mostly questions are from the PyQ exam pattern. The passing rate for macroeconomics is more than basic statistics for economics. Maths is bit difficult so maybe it also lies on the same ground as statistics.
Other: The campus experience is great. The best thing I like about my course is friends from the same course I made and the help of economics and Maths in any other government exam preparation. The things I wish would be better about my course should be making it equally relevant as Honours degrees. Fests are also crazy this year. The campus crowd is great not too bad not too good. There is high connectivity as a metro station and bus facilities are available. The pink booth is near the college.

Q:   How can I get admission in DU to pursue MA? I have completed BA from Punjabi University, Patiala.
A:

Delhi University MA admission till 2021 was offered in two categories: Direct Admission and Through Entrance Test. Also, along with the entrance exam, interview rounds are also conducted for admission to Delhi University MA programme. There is no minimum age limit to take admission to the MA programme offered by the university. However, DU PG admission 2022-23 was subject to a valid score in DUET as announced by the University. Starting 2023, the admission process of DU for its postgraduate courses, such as MA will be subject to the CUET-PG exam conducted by NTA.

Q:   Is CUET fee revised?
A:

No, CUET application fee is similar as of previous year. The CUET registration fee is updated on release of the CUET notification. Earlier, CUET application fee was revised with the reduction on choice of subjects for CUET exam. NTA will commence CUET UG 2026 registrations at cuet.nta.nic.in. Candidates can know the revised fee, exam pattern and important dates on CUET 2026 notification PDF.

Q:   Do I need 60% in Class 12 to get admission in DU?
A:

DU is considered one of the most competitive universities in India for Commerce, Science and Arts education at the undergraduate level. The university and its affiliated colleges was attracting the cream layer of crowd till the time admission was subject to Class 12 scores. While reserved category candidates still had minor chances of getting into a not-so-popular course of DU with 60% in Class 12, a General category student with 60% had no chance of getting into any good college or course at DU.

However, starting 2022, DU admission process has shifted to CUET-UG based admission process. Those with a valid score in CUET UG exam who have passed their Class 12 are eligible to take admission now. While the chances of getting into a good DU college are still low at this score, the chances of getting a seat have increased now (provided you score extremely well in CUET UG).

According to me, both LPU and DU are good for Law, but the right choice depends on your goals. If you want modern infrastructure, practical learning, internships, moot courts, and strong placement support, LPU is a great option. If you prefer a government university with a long academic reputation a
