The university may not offer direct admission as primarily the selection is merit-based. Thus, the aspirants Class 12 scores are considered. If the student withdraws before the notified date of commencement of classes/reporting for hostel, only Rs. 1,000/- will be deducted as processing charges and balance shall be refunded. If the student has availed hostel facility even for one day in a calendar month, then Mess & Laundry fee for that calendar month shall be deducted.

Step 1: Online Application
The mode of application is online for all courses. Candidates need to pay an application fee to apply for admission.
Step 2: Selection Rounds
The university shortlists candidates based on their merit or entrance exam scores. DIT also conducts DUET for shortlisting aspirants for MPharm, M.Tech and PhD courses. To facilitate meritorious students, the DIT Dehradun has institutionalised a policy of giving direct admission to board toppers, for which certain seats are reserved.
