IPU CET 2026 Syllabus: Overview
IPU CET 2026 exam will be conducted for admission in various UG, PG, and PhD programmes in the university. Therefore, IPU CET Syllabus 2026 for each course is different. The subjects and topics included are different for each subject. Candidates must be well-versed with the syllabus of the respective course for which they are applying for admission. Aspirants must plan a schedule and follow the syllabus that will help them in covering all the topics appropriately & score well in the IPU CET entrance exam.

To get admission for BTech Lateral Entry at IP University candidates must appear for IPU CET. Lateral entry to BTech course is permitted for candidates with a Diploma or BSc Degree. For Diploma holders the IPU CET exam code is 128. For BSc Degree holders the IPU CET exam code is 129. The candidates should check the syllabus for the exam and prepare accordingly.
If candidates have objections related to IPU CET 2026 questions or answer options, they can only submit them through an online "Objection Link" provided on GGSIPU website. Details regarding this link will be communicated to all candidates who have attended online examination via their registered email IDs and mobile alerts. Objection submitted after deadline will not be considered.

Exam Pattern of IPU CET Syllabus
Students must go through the IPU CET Syllabus 2026 for a better understanding of exam pattern. According to the IPU CET Exam Pattern 2026, the exam is held via online CBT mode for 2 hours & 30 minutes. The question paper will be in English. There will be a total of 100 multiple-choice questions, wherein 4 response choices will be given for each question. the total marks of exam are 400. Students will be given 4 marks for every correct answer & -1 mark will be deducted for each of the wrong answers. For un-attempted questions, no negative marking will be applicable.

In IPU CET for each correct answer, four marks will be given, and for each incorrect answer, one mark will be reduced. There are no marks deducted for unanswered questions. Examination is conducted for 2 hours 30 minutes. Candidates must know the marking scheme before attempting exam.
In IPU CET there is negative marking. This means one mark is reduced for each incorrect response. Marks are not deducted for unanswered questions. This means that if a candidate leaves a question unanswered, no marks are deducted.

IPU CET cutoff is calculated on different factors. Cutoff marks are announced category wise and are different for each course offered by university.
