Excellent placements, world-class faculty, tough but fair academics, & campus life are hard to beat.
Placements: Around 80 to 90 percent of students from our batch opted for placements. Majority of them are successfully placed. While others chose higher studies, research, startups, or civil services preparation. The highest package offered in our course went above 1 crore per annum (international offers). The average package is around 20 LPA to 25 LPA, and the lowest package is around 10 LPA to 12 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Qualcomm, etc. Around 70-80% of students are able to secure internships through campus and off-campus opportunities.
Infrastructure: The academic side is honestly pretty solid. Labs are well-equipped, especially for core branches like CSE, EE, mechanical, and chemistry. We get access to good machinery software and research facilities. Classrooms are great. Library is huge 24/7, and has almost every book we need. Wi-Fi is available everywhere on campus but speed drops during peak hours and can be frustrating in hostels. There is new hostel and much better than the old ones. There are big rooms, maintained mess, and games are equipment whereas old hostels are smaller with poor sports equipment, mostly damaged. H1 (old hostel) mess is a great thought.
Faculty: Faculty is one of the best things about IITB. Most professors are highly qualified, very knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about their subjects. Many are doing serious research and bringing that into teaching. Like the BB101 biology course included bits of research stuff into class teaching curriculum is rigorous and mostly relevant. Core courses build strong fundamentals, and electives give flexibility. Most exams are moderate to tough level, and sometimes like during mid-semester for biology there is a huge mismanagement in the venue allotment which resulted in cancelling the exam.
Other: Aerospace has been my interest since childhood. At IITB, with only 70-75 people in the aerospace department, it's really nice to be a part of it.

Life of a student at IIT Bombay.
Placements: Around 80 to 85 percent of the students in our course department get placed on campus every year. The rest choose higher education. Top recruiters were Boeing, Airbus, HAL, and a few automobile companies like BMW and TATA. Mainly offered roles were lead engineer, production engineer, chief designer, and many more.
Infrastructure: There are separate department buildings. There's a Wi-Fi connection all over the campus which runs with full speed. World-class lab facilities, air-conditioned classrooms, and labs. A huge library building has millions of books, research papers, journals, etc. Hostels are well-maintained, and proper cleaning happens every day by respective staff. The mess has good food. A multi-specialty hospital within the campus provides treatment. A big gymkhana ground with multiple indoor stadiums for volleyball, basketball, Kho-Kho, and badminton. Huge hockey court and football court. An athletic-level swimming pool too.
Faculty: Teachers are well-educated and qualified professionals with various research published under their name and the best teaching experience. Course curriculums are well-planned for the overall development of the students. Semester examinations are often made difficult to make the students learn from their mistakes, thus giving an opportunity to succeed better in life's problems.
Other: This course has been my dream course since the start of my preparation for exams. Every moment is the best thing at this college, especially the campus life. Multiple events like Techfest and Mood Indigo, the institute's cultural fest, are both known as Asia's largest college fests. Huge crowds, a green environment, and good scholarship facilities are provided by the institution.

IIT Bombay College review.
Placements: Around 80 to 85 percent of the students in our course/department were placed on campus every year. The rest choose higher education. Top recruiters were Being, Airbus, HAL, and a few automobile companies like BMW and TATA. Mainly offered roles were lead engineer, production engineer, chief designer, and many more.
Infrastructure: The hostel and the dining hall were actually not bad. Having Wi-Fi in class and internet cables in the hostel really helped with our schoolwork. You can find almost everything you need without leaving campus. The classrooms were big and had projectors. If you're into sports, there's a huge stadium for cricket and an indoor one for badminton.
Faculty: A lot of the faculty got their PhDs from famous places like NITs or IITs. The teachers were friendly and easy to like. Most classes were just lectures where you listened and took notes. We studied things like biotech, but it doesn't totally train you for one specific job. The exams were average, and most people around 80 or 90 percent passed them.

Great college, but placements could be better.
Placements: In Aerospace Engineering, many students went for further studies, and students who are placed have low packages comparatively. The highest is around 24 LPA, and the lowest is around 6 LPA. Most of the companies that recruited from our course are software-related companies, as only around 2 to 4 core companies came and took only M.Tech students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is great. Wi-Fi is proper, and the labs are well-structured compared to other IITs. The library is very huge. The mess and canteens are properly maintained. There are great opportunities for sports too. The medical facility is great, and the charges are taken by the IITB hospital itself.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, but at times it is difficult to find them free. They are knowledgeable and qualified too. The course curriculum is relevant, though different faculty members have different ways of teaching. The difficulty of exams varies for different courses depending on the professors.

Amazing placements and fantastic curriculum.
Placements: The percentage of students placed is above 75% this year. The highest is 3.67 CPA and the lowest is 4LPA. The recruiting companies are Google, Amazon and Flipkart. Almost every student on campus gets an internship and companies like Air India, Vistara are hiring.
Infrastructure: The labs in IIT Bombay are equipped with good machines and the lab engineers are trained. The hostel is very good and medical facilities are also there. There are good sports professionals and trainers.
Faculty: There are qualified professors on the campus and they help in getting rid of any doubts. Exams at the IIT Bombay are pretty tough and more complicated.
Other: I had chosen aerospace engineering in IIT Bombay as I am more passionate about aircraft and missiles. Events, Fest, Campus Crowd, Connectivity, and Campus Surroundings, are very good.

Life experience at IIT Bombay: My Perspective.
Placements: There are at most 1700 students in my batch. I am in Aerospace department; in my batch, only 5% of students are in aerospace engineering. In Aerospace department, jobs opportunities are very few in private sector, but if we try on government side, we could get better jobs with good packages. Aerospace engineering jobs will be more enough if one wants to do in foreign countries. In IIT Bombay, the average package in aerospace engineering is 16 LPA. But there are other streams like mechanical, electrical, coding, etc. Apart from aerospace engineering, one can try in those areas too.
Infrastructure: The hostels in IIT Bombay are assigned by the hostel committee. In hostels, ragging has been strictly banned from many years. Every hostel has its own council and general secretaries, managers, etc. Many other activities take place in hostels during occasions, events, weekends, etc. general championship is the best part in every hostels history. In this, every hostel compete with other hostels in sports, cultural events, etc. Hospitality is maintained well in every hostel, and there is a support team where students can report their problems on the hostel's official website.
Faculty: Professors are very knowledgeable and helpful. They assign teaching assistants to help the students in tutorials, assignments, etc. And there is an app where we can find the uploaded lecture slides, assignments, reference books, etc. Students can convey their problems to professor directly via mails. They often don't stress students in any matters.

Life of IIT Bombay, good environment, good placement, and best campus life.
Placements: Placements in all courses are approximately 80 to 90%. The average package we get in the aerospace course is 14 LPA, and the median is about 16 LPA, which is pretty good. The lowest was 8 LPA. Companies that recruit are Airbus, Rolls-Royce, etc. Students are placed in aircraft design, technical officer, etc.
Infrastructure: IIT Bombay has a beautiful infrastructure. It has its own Wi-Fi, where we can browse Google, YouTube, etc. We cannot use it for bad things or for gaming purposes. It has many labs for various fields. It has a beautiful classroom design and a nice environment to study in. It is a central library where mainly technical knowledge books are present. It has a study area that is open 24 hours a day. IIT Bombay has 12 hostels and the quality of the food is good. It has many canteens with good food and a student discount, which makes it affordable for students. Campus as inside medical facilities with skilled doctors. It has a gymkhana ground with many different kinds of sport like lawn tennis, table tennis, football turf, cricket turf, volleyball, badminton court, etc. It is like a gym, which is big and has different kinds of instruments so you can flex your muscles.
Faculty: Exams at IIT Bombay are medium, which students can solve. And exams are logical-based questions, except for a few courses. Professors at IIT Bombay are helpful, Ph.D.-qualified, and experienced. They have a huge amount of knowledge yet some professors lack communication skills, so it becomes hard for some students to understand. The courses the college offers are very relevant to the future and helpful. The passing percentage is good, with at least 95% passing.
Other: Campus life at IIT Bombay is the best. It has various fun activities every month, every week, and every day. We have many clubs so we see many programs going on like club orientations, theatre fest, stand-up comedy, etc. Campus is home to two main big events that are famous all over India: MOOD INDIGO and TECHFEST. Overall, we have a big campus life where we can nurture while having fun.

An SC student needs about 200–250+ marks and a rank under 700 to get Aerospace at IIT Bombay.

SC rank needed → around under 700

 Marks needed → roughly 200 – 250+ (approx)

Aerospace at Indian Institute of Technology Bombay is highly competitive, so:

Below 200 → very low chance
