Absolutely satisfied due to the many opportunities present in this college.
Placements: 70 to 80 percent student got placed and another 5 to 10 percent students do something else. The rest are unplaced. The highest package differs year by year but stays around 1 LPA. The lowest package is around 6 or 7 LPA and the average packages are around 22 to 23 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course are non core like McKinsey, Accenture, SDE recruiting companies, Consulting like Revolut, Deloitte etc. The internship percentage is not that high and lies around 40 to 50 percent no data from companies. Top roles are Data Scientist, SDE, Consultant etc. SDE roles are the top choice of students.
Infrastructure: Every facility, like labs, classrooms, library, hostels, and hostel room are top Notch. Wi-Fi is everywhere. Classrooms are very Big. The hostel quality is very good and a recent hostel with very high quality infrastructure comparable to 3 star Hotel. Food quality is very good but sometimes be dependent on mess to mess of every Hostel. As sometimes the Mess Quality is degraded for Profit. The canteen provides decent quality all year round. Medical services are free for every student and there is a sports facility known as the Gym where every sports facility is available and its free for everyone.
Faculty: Honest teaching is not very helpful and many students are unable to cope and are not understood by the teaching of the professor. In recent years course curriculum is made more relevant to the industry and we can say that course makes a student industrial ready in that specific field. Semester exams in a college are dependent on the faculty of the course and they can be very different from easy to tough but generally the pass percentage is 90 percent.
Other: I chose the course because I want to attend IIT Bombay and the best thing is that it gives ideas like AI and data Science. Sometimes clear flow of the course is not given and dates are not given, which makes students confused. In IIT Bombay, events are a part of your life, like there is always be minimum 1 event everyday and 2 to 3 events can be in a single day and you know the fest mood Indigo. The campus is Big. The crowd fees less, connectivity is strong. The campus is green and scholarships can be easily availed. Any Non SDE options present.

Review of IIT Bombay - Indian Institute of Technology.
Placements: I would say campus placements are just above average. Placements are not as grand as the newspapers show, but the peer group is quite engaging. Students grow a lot in these 4 years with a good peer group and an awesome alumni network. The highest packages generally are bagged in the software domains. In my branch, the highest package is 35 LPA.
Infrastructure: The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled, There is a central library and almost all departments have their own libraries too. There are 3 dedicated lecture complexes and all departments have their own classrooms too. The hostel infrastructure of the new hostels are really good and the old ones are also continuously improving. There is an on-campus hospital. The institute gymkhana has many sports facilities.
Faculty: Faculty members of my department are extremely supportive and helpful, just that you need to be ready to seek help. The course curriculum is relevant just a little cramped in the new curriculum, but this curriculum leaves us with 1 full year to choose courses of our choice. This is good for students who have an interdisciplinary interest. Semester exams' level of difficulty varies but they are passable. We really need to work hard to pass exams.
Other: There are a ton of things to do and explore. There is no matter what branch we choose based on our JEE rank, we should go for a better college. It will all make sense once we are a year or 2 into the campus, we will have to figure out a lot of things and maybe discover where our interest lies.

Overall, good in terms of placement, infrastructure, academics, college life and all.
Placements: At IIT Bombay, placement statistics vary by department. In most core engineering courses, around 80%-90% of students secure placements. The highest package can go beyond 4 crores per annum, while the lowest package is around 8 LPA-12 LPA, with an average of 20 LPA-30 LPA. Top recruiters include Google, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Reliance, and McKinsey. Around 85%-90% of students secure internships. The internship scope is more as compared to other institutes, one just needs to develop networking opportunities.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good. There is a specific infrastructure for each department. Every year is available with a Wi-Fi facility. Each hostel has LAN cables, library, sports room, music room, and other facilities. Some parent's hostels are not that good but the new hostels have the best facility in terms of everything.
Faculty: Exams are concept-heavy and challenging, requiring deep understanding and problem-solving skills, with good preparation. Mostly it is divided into quizzes, midterms, and end-sems. Sometimes assignments, attendance, and projects do have some weightage. Professors are highly qualified and supportive, ensuring excellent teaching quality. The curriculum is getting improved and getting industry-oriented projects.
Other: Some events are organized on a much bigger scale. Overall it is very good.

Take the course, only if you like it.
Placements: 80% of students were placed in this course. The highest might be 24 lpa, and the lowest around 12–13 lpa. The top recruiting company for this course is HUL. Around 50% get internships in random companies and just 1 or 2 in HUL. The top roles are R&D, research fellowships, etc.
Infrastructure: There are classrooms, Wi-Fi, labs, and canteens. The department building seems quite old and the infrastructure is a bit outdated; otherwise, it is good. The boys hostels are not good with poor infrastructure and limited space but the newer ones are better. Food quality degrades as the days pass.
Faculty: Personally, I don't like chemical core, but some professors are really helpful. The course curriculum is okay and the department council is trying a lot to make the students industry-ready. Exams are tough, at least for me. The grading is absolutely absurd.
Other: I wanted IITB so I went with chemicals. I don't like anything about this course. I wish the pros stopped the harsh grading. I would have been happier if I was in a different course, maybe. Events and festivals are really fun. Crowds and seniors are really helpful in every aspect.

One of the best placements, infrastructure, surrounding etc. So I will say work hard for JEE.
Placements: The batch size of the 2023 chemical department is 147. The highest package is 47 lakhs, the average package is 17 lakhs, and the lowest is 7 lakhs. The top recruiting companies for chemicals are IOCl, BPCL, ONGC, and Reliance Industries. Almost 40% of the students got internships in our branches, like CRODA, Everest Carbon, and Shell.
Infrastructure: As I am in my first year, I am exposed to physics and CS labs only. And they are the best labs, and the staff is very supportive. Wi-Fi speed is best in classrooms, mess, and libraries. But in hostels, we have to apply it outside. Classrooms are well structured; there is a podium and projector screens. The central library is open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. (Mon-Fri) and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Sat-Sun). The reading hall is open 24/7, where you can go and study, but in the reading hall, books are not available. In my hostel, i.e., H-16. There are washing machines and one water purifier on each floor. In the hostel, there's also a mess where you will get breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner. Almost all kinds of sports facilities are available, and you will get chances to participate in inter-IIT sports, i.e., competitions. You will get awesome medical facilities available 24/7 that are free of cost. Even the medicine given by doctors is free of cost.
Faculty: Honestly speaking, faculty members are a bit boring, but they are well qualified. They do not give their 100 percent to teach the students. They just go by the slides that they have copied from any book. Yes, this course curriculum is relevant, and it makes the students industry-ready. End terms are very difficult, but midterms and quizzes are durable. In CS 101, out of 700 students, 55 fail in math, or about 51, so about 10 to 12% of students fail.
Other: Based on my rank, this was the only branch available for me in IIT Bombay. However, there are some areas that could be improved, such as the quality of professors. IIT Bombay hosts Asia's largest fest, Mood Indigo, and it's also exciting that a big celebrity visits the campus every week. There are some additional benefits, like free messing for SC/ST students, remission of fees, and women merit-cum-scholarship.

Hello V Louis, It's actually a very simple process. The student needs to score 75% or more in qualifying exam like 12th or equivalent. Then appear in JEE Mains exam and be in top (approx) 3L students who are eligible to take JEE Advanced exam. Take this exam and be in top 500- 1000 to get this branc
