Best IIT of India.
Placements: I am currently in my first year, so I haven't experienced any placement or internship activities other than volunteering at OCS (Office of Career Services). I have just seen my seniors getting placements and internships, and I have inquired with them about it. As far as I know, most students who sit for placements get placed, with around 90% placement. In textile technology, most people do not go for core jobs but rather prefer tech jobs or consulting jobs, as core jobs are not much.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the LHC (lecture hall complex), library, and Dogra Hall is quite appreciable. Classrooms in LHC are very good, fully air-conditioned, and have high-speed Wi-Fi. However, the hostel facilities are quite different from the facilities in the institute. The hostel has triple-sharing rooms, which are quite congested. Buildings are very old, so maintenance is going on regularly. The mess is just awful. The food is barely bearable, and you can't trust it. I have to ask my parents for money to have good food that is eatable.
Faculty: I am not questioning teachers. They are quite knowledgeable of course and very much better than me, but students don't understand what is being taught in class. They only go to classes due to 75% attendance. I feel that teachers in my coaching for JEE were not as qualified as professors here, but they knew how to teach, so students have an interest maintained. The curriculum has gone obsolete, it has no real-life applications, and one has to do an online course or learn from YouTube to get a job. The difficulty of exams matters to the professor.
Other: At my rank in JEE Advanced, I was getting either textile at IIT Delhi or environment at IIT Bombay. Because my hometown is Delhi, I chose IIT Delhi. Also, it is top-ranked among all IITs. I wish the course were designed to have some real-life applications. Now, it is just a thing to do, and you have nothing to learn from it. Fests are humongous, crazy, happening, and quite interesting. The extracurricular activities are many in number. One can do whatever he or she likes to dance, Spic Macay, and so whatnot.

I am satisfied with the placement and teaching staff.
Placements: Around 50% to 60% of students get placement every year in good companies and firms. Top firms in India or new big startups came there for recruitment. The highest package was 41 LPA, the average was 5 LPA to 6 LPA, and the lowest was 3 LPA. Students could also work on faculty projects as internships.
Infrastructure: They provided all facilities and good infrastructure for students, supporting their fees and studies. Wi-Fi was available, but sometimes the speed was lower. Classrooms had air conditioning, the library had all the books, the canteen offered a variety of food, and the hostel had a clean and well-managed environment. They also promoted sports.
Faculty: Teachers of this college were brilliant and educated. They had their own unique style of teaching and were known for their skills and guidance. Students learned from them easily. The course curriculum was relevant because teachers were helpful, and the course was based more on practical discussions. The semester exam was tough to pass there.

Great research environment with helpful faculty members and good campus life.
Placements: Around 50% of students got placed. The highest package was 22 LPA, the lowest was 6 LPA, and average salary was 12 LPA. Recruiting companies were Microsoft, DRDO, and Tata. 40% of students got internships in research labs and startups. Roles offered were research analyst, data scientist, and R&D engineer.
Infrastructure: Department had good labs, AC classroom, fast Wi-Fi, and big library with research books. Hostel was okay, and rooms were clean. Mess food was normal, not too good not too bad. Canteen had more options. Medical help was always available. Sports ground, gym, and games were also there.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful and knowledgeable. Most had a big degree. Teaching quality was good. Course was useful and helped with research and job. Syllabus was mixture of subjects and projects. Exams were tough, but if studied then okay. Pass percentage was around 90%. Some subjects were hard.
Other: It provided Ph.D. interdisciplinary research at IIT Delhi. I chose this course because I wanted to work on real problems with mixture of subjects. Best thing was research freedom and guided support. It needed more industry connections and funding. Campus was big, green, and crowd was smart. Fests like Rendezvous and Tryst were very fun. Metro and bus facilities were nearby. Scholarships were provided every month. Many clubs were available for tech, culture, and sports. Campus life was busy but good.
