IIT Delhi BDes Courses & Fees 2025: Eligibility, Fees, Dates, Cutoff, Seats

Students seeking admission to BDes course (Bachelor of Design) at IIT Delhi are required to sit for UCEED exam 2023. UCEED releases qualifying cutoff in the form of mean deviation and standard deviation. Appearing in UCEED 2023 or being on the admission rank list does not guarantee admission to IIT Delhi BDes courses.

Candidates who have passed UCEED 2023 must apply separately to the UCEED participating institute for BDes admission. Apart from passing the UCEED exam, the candidates are required to fulfil the eligibility criteria, category certificates and other documents, as well as the UCEED score, to be verified by IIT Delhi.

IIT Delhi cutoff 2024 for the BDes course is based on the applicant's UCCED scores followed by the UCEED Counselling. The last-round closing rank for the General AI category was 35.

UCEED Counselling is generally conducted in five rounds. Candidates looking for IIT Delhi admissions must meet the UCEED cutoff for further process of counselling.

IIT Delhi and IIT Bombay accept the UCEED exam for B.Des admission. However, IIT Delhi offers a B.Des course via its own campus, and IIT Bombay offers a full-time B.Des course via its center called Industrial Design Centre (IDC). In 2025, the last round of UCEED cutoff rank was 41 for B.Des admission at IIT Delhi. For IIT Bombay, the cutoff rank was 14. So, considering the ranks, IIT Bombay was the most competitive among the aspirants for B.Des admission as compared to that of IIT Delhi.
