IISc Bangalore Course Admissions 2025: Entrance Exam, Eligibility, Application Process

Candidates who want IISc Bangalore admissions need to clear the entrance exams as the admissions to the institute is entrance based. Also, candidates should clear the basic eligibility criteria. • IISER Aptitude Test is introduced as a new mode of entry for the academic year 2024. Candidates have to apply directly on the IISc admission portal to apply through this mode.

However, 70% GATE score + 30% performance in written test (100% GATE based for Aerospace, Chemical, Civil, Materials Engg.) + COAP counselling will be accepted. Apart from this, students might face some problems while downloading the GATE hall ticket 2024. The problem might be due to slow internet connectivity or a heavy load on the server. (Research) in Physics based on last-round cutoff was 903 for the students belonging to the General All India Quota.

IISc Bangalore considers JEE Advanced scores for admission to BSc and BTech programmes. JEE Advanced is  usually conducted in May every year. The IISc Bangalore BSc fees is INR 40,000. The duration of the course is four years. IISc Bangalore GATE cutoff 2025 has been concluded for M.Tech specialisations. The cutoff scores closed between 400 and 690, for the General AI category candidates. Therefore, for the General AI category candidates, it is possible to get admission to a few specialisations.
