Best in terms of value for money, placement is the best after IIT KGP in West Bengal.
Placements: More than 95% placed last year. Good companies like Google, Accenture, PwC, Visa, Oracle, and TCS visit our campus every year. The average package last year was 12 LPA. The highest package was around 50 LPA, and the lowest was 3.36 LPA. More than 40% of students got internships last year. But recently, top product-based companies have stopped visiting our campus.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not so satisfying. It's average. But the labs have the necessary equipment. If you want to come to the university to study only, then it could be your best choice. There are departmental libraries for every department, and they consist of the latest books. There is a central library, and there is a digital library too. 24/7 free Wi-Fi service is available. The hostel is cheap, and the food is fresh and good.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified, and most of them are graduates of IITs and IISc. They are very polite and caring. You can contact them every now and then. The curriculum mainly focuses on GATE. Many students get PSUs and good IITs after graduation.

Detailed review of B.E. in Instrumentation and Electronics Engineering of JU.
Placements: In this year 2024 and in the previous year, our placement percentage is 100%; it is on the newspapers as well. The highest package this year, 2024, is 56 LPA offered by Schrodinger; the lowest package is 7 LPA; and the average package are 10-15 LPA. The top recruiting companies are in the field of software: Google, Amazon, Airbus, Schrodinger, Facebook, Well Fargo, and in the field of core Micron, Ixana, and Texas Instrumentation. Also, some mass recruiters like Infosys, TCS, Siemens, and PWC also come and offer good packages. The internship drive of us is now going about class strength is 65 out of which 10 student got internship in Texas Instrumentation, Siemens, Micron, Accenture, etc. Still the drive is going and many more will get internship also.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure as well as the facilities on our campus are top notch. The buildings are well painted and renovated. The classrooms are neat and clean with big black boards; some also some have digital boards. The benches are new and have sound systems. The laboratory is well organized with all types of needed equipment and facilities. The whole building has Wi-Fi high-speed connections. There is a big central library building with lots of books by different authors from different streams. The hostel is very big, with two large buildings and 5 floors. Each floor is allocated to each year. The rooms are single. Each floor has two bathrooms and water purifiers. The mess area is large; they serve two meals a day. A 24/7 medical facility is available, as is an ambulance. In front of the hostel there is a large playground to play football and cricket. In the hostel there is a badminton and volleyball court. Beside the hostel there is a basketball court.
Faculty: The teacher of every department in our campus are highly qualified and knowledgeable. They are the best in their jobs. They are qualified from best IITs; some are gold medalist also. Their teaching skill is very good. They take regular classes and also provides pdf to learn at home. Refer us to the best books of best authors. The course has all the subjects and education needed to be an electronics or instrumentation engineer. Subjects like Electronics Circuits, Digital Electronics, Circuit Theory, Linear control systems, analog electronics, microcontrollers, etc. The semester exams are moderate. All questions are from the teachers notes. They repeat questions also. They took class test, which prepares us for semester. The pass percentage is 90%.

Jadavpur University providing the best Return of Investment .
Placements: 90% of students are placed. The highest package is 1.5 crore LPA, and the average package is of the order of 10–12 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Texas Instruments, Ixana, PWC, Aura Electronics, Indus Tower, etc. Considering industrial internships, 15% of students got an internship. Most of them are Texas instruments. The top role offered is that of an analog design engineer.
Infrastructure: Facilities are good, but improvements should be made, and it can be done by introducing some modern equipment. Medical facilities should improve. The quality of the food is really good as compared to any other college. Lab facilities should improve. The sports facility is the only section that demands a lot of improvement.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and knowledgeable. Most of them are helpful. Teaching quality is above average. The course curriculum is relevant, but there is much scope for improvement so that it can be more industry-oriented. Semester exam difficulty is moderate, and the pass percentage is above 60%.
Other: I have a keen interest in designing circuits, so I have chosen this course over IT. The best thing about this course is its versatility. All the fields are open. Overall, lab facilities should be improved in our college.

Academic excellence and cultural richness is a hub of innovation and learning.
Placements: Jadavpur University has a strong reputation for engineering education, and the ECE department is no exception. It provides 95% to 100% placement. The average salary is 18 LPA. Companies include Samsung, Texas Instruments, Synopsys, Micron, IBM, Deloitte, Amazon, PwC, TCS, and many more. Apart from this, many students pursue higher studies in prestigious institutions in India or abroad or take up research opportunities. Students also receive internships in various companies like Texas Instruments, Synopsys, Samsung, and PwC, and some get research internships in IITs.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not as elite as that of the IITs and NITs, as it is funded by the State Government, and the fees are nominal. The main campus occupies a sprawling 58-acre area. There are 15 engineering departments as well as arts and science faculties at JU. Laboratories and research centers are available, with a 24/7 Wi-Fi connection on campus. The university has a central library with lakhs of books, seven reading rooms, carrels, and an alcove for bound volumes of journals, providing seating accommodation for 700 readers. There are individual libraries associated with the departments, as well as a digital library with numerous books and journals. For accommodation, there are 13 hostels (9 for boys and 4 for girls) on the two campuses (Jadavpur and Salt Lake), costing only 25 rupees per month. The hostel mess is managed by the Student Mess Committee under the guidance of the superintendent of the respective hostel. Several canteens are available on campus, and many food stalls are located outside the campus. Sports facilities are also available, and every year, 250–300 students of the university participate in various inter-university sports competitions.
Faculty: The faculty of every department is highly educated and actively involved in research. They encourage students to engage in research as well. The faculty members have strong connections in the industry and in the research community both in India and abroad, and some of their recommendations hold significant value. The topics in the syllabus are covered in class. Class lectures are very important for scoring well in exams, as many professors teach topics that are not found in textbooks; in such cases, class notes become essential. To learn something new, one needs to develop the habit of self-learning.
Other: The best part about Jadavpur University is its ROI (Return on Investment). One needs to pay only 10,000 rupees for the entire B.Tech course (for IT, it is 1.2 lakhs for four years). In terms of events, there is the cultural fest of JU named Sanskriti, which runs for 5–6 days. There is also a tech fest named Srijan, which is the best budget tech fest as they don't charge any fee for participation.

Jadavpur University has the best ROI.
Placements: The 2022 and 2023 batches were some of the best in our department; the highest package crossed 1cr+. This year, due to recession, the placements are off; the average package is about 17–19 LPA. Many students got admission in US-based universities for higher studies like PhDs, etc.
Infrastructure: Our campus offers free Wi-Fi, and the labs and classrooms are hi-tech and digitalized. The central library of our college is very huge and comprises thousands of books and journals. The hostel is a bit old and it needs some maintenance and good food quality.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful; they teach in the best possible manner so that every student can understand each and every concept and can implement it in their day-to-day lives. At the end of our course, as the syllabus is well designed, every student is industry-adapted. It helps us very much.
Other: The electronics and telecommunications sector is a growing sector nowadays. 5G & 6G are revolutionary. This entertains me most. Also, our faculty professors worked with ISRO, DRDO and many more famous organizations, which motivated us to do so.

Jadavpur University is a good college providing education at such a lower cost.
Placements: Placement in JU is really very good. In this sort of placement scenario, JU is still achieving high placements. In our department, out of 59 students, 48 have already been placed. In other branches, the placement scenario is also very good. The average package of our college is almost about 22 LPA, though I don't know it clearly.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is somehow good in JU. The labs have all modern instruments and the research culture here is very good. Moreover, the infrastructure is very good, at a minimal rate of 10,000 throughout the course. Yes, you may not find air conditioning in classes but of course, that does not ensure poor infrastructure. Also, it is Day Scholar College, so I can't mention hostels.
Faculty: Unlike other so-called elegant colleges, our college also has a rich faculty; besides them, there are also some faculty who lack teaching skills, not knowledge. So the faculty at JU is very helpful. Also, the semester at JU is not that hard to pass, and the teachers help to pass the semester.
Other: The cultural and technological management fest in JU is very rich in nature and actually very vast. Students can freely enjoy the fests.

Review of Jadavpur University.
Placements: *98% people are placed in my course as per the 2023 report. *High domestic - 58 LPA, international- 1.4 crores. The lowest - 9 LPA. *Google, Microsoft, Atlassian, Apple, Goldman Sachs, PWC, Flipkart, Amazon, TCS DIGITAL, Anchanto, Netflix, etc. *90-95% students got internships during the course in companies like PWC, Microsoft, etc. *Data analytics, Data Science, consultancy, Software Development.
Infrastructure: *24*7 Wi-Fi available, specially labs are very good, and the faculty members are awesome. Classrooms are very comfortable. *Jadavpur is known for return on investment so, in 10 thousand you will complete your whole 4 years of course and 4 items available in food - Fish, chicken, egg, paneer for all day in a month and you have to pay only 1500 per month.
Faculty: *The teachers are well qualified; some professors have worked with NASA, ISRO, etc. *Yes, this course will make students industry-ready. The semesters are very difficult to pass out; almost 75% of students passed every semester. So the exams difficult, but if you study hard, you will pass.
Other: *I am a very teach enthusiastic person and to be an engineer and Jadavpur give me this opportunity. *Jadavpur is known for fest mainly 3 fest named Sanskriti, U-turn, Ciippus ( teach fest ). Otherwise in every month this University organised a fest .

Superb college, best ROI in the world, excellent placements.
Placements: Last year almost 95%+ students got placed in reputed companies, grabbing the highest package of 84 LPA (off-campus). The average package was 18lpa. Companies like amazon, google, microsoft offer jobs to the students here. Average stipend given to students were approximately 40-50 thousand.
Infrastructure: All types of facilities are available in the campus as well as hostel, but the only catch is that the infrastructure is a bit old, otherwise there are libraries for every department, and also a central library. There are numerous labs in the university, all of which are properly maintained. All the classrooms have proper ventilation and ACs.
Faculty: The teachers here are highly qualified. You might have heard about the ISRO mission Chandrayan-3, 2 professors of this university (one from etc.e and other from power) have helped in making the Chandrayan-3. The teaching quality is also top notch. Semester exams will not be tough for you if follow the classes.

For Electronic Engineering you need to have rank within 500 for Home State Candidates and for other state candidates the rank should be within 200.
