The Best of Jadavpur University

Placements: The last two years, it has been 100% placement in our branch (IEE). The highest package of our branch this year is 55 LPA, and the average is around 16 LPA. At this time, most of the students are choosing core companies over software, with some top companies like Texas Instruments, Schrodinger, etc., recruiting from our branch. Some students also got on-campus internships.

Infrastructure: In our department, there is a personal electronics lab, Wi-Fi facilities are also available, and we have a building. It has five floors, and there is a library on the Salt Lake campus. Most of the students do not prefer hostels; they stay in a PG or flat (rented). On the Salt Lake campus, there are two hostels for boys and girls. And it has a beautiful ground (CAB).

Faculty: All the teachers are very helpful, and they are well-qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching methods are also friendly. If you attend classes regularly, then you will be ready for the industry. There are a total of 8 semesters in 4 years, and the semester exams are pretty tough, but most of the students pass the exams.

Other: I chose this branch because I have so much interest in electronics, and this branch also provides a great placement. There are too many festivals held at this university, like SRIJAN, SANSKRITI, UTURN, CIIPPUS, etc. The connections between students are pretty good, and they help each other. There are a lot of clubs at this university. And you can get scholarships from the government or private.

Placements: Jadavpur University has 8148 undergraduate and 3134 post graduate students. It has 30% from outside. Here, male percentage is 89% and female is 11%. The highest Package is :- 1.8 core per annum the lowest Package is :- 3.24 LPA Top recruiting companies are - Amazon, Aarti Industries, Adani etc. There is 98% internship. Top role offers are :- Google, Microsoft, Texes Industries, Samsung etc.

Infrastructure: There is totally great facilities and infrastructure available in Jadavpur University. There is full Wi-Fi connection in whole campus and also have advance classrooms with Library, Labs and many things. The quality of facilities in hostel mess, canteen, sports is very good.

Faculty: The teachers are always helpful and they have good teaching quality. Of course, the cultural programme is very relevant. It is very good programme. Correct three is some difficulties in semester but we all loved it. The pass percentage is almost 100%.

It is the best university with the highest salary package.

Placements: The placement percentage is 100% in our course. The average salary is up to 16 LPA. The highest salary package is up to 39 LPA in software, and the lowest is up to 8 LPA in the core. Because the course is designed to teach students in four different fields, there is a long list of potential recruiters, starting with product software, consulting (IT), instrumentation and control (core), and electronics. The top recruiters include GAIL, BHEL, Samsung, NVIDIA, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Grab, Texas Instruments, IOCL, and many more.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. There are all the things you need more than you desire. It's not a college with so many luxuries and materialistic things, but enough to make you remember your college days. The library is greatly built and there is no issue with book shortages. Returning the books late does cost money, but it's so little that sometimes even the librarians won't ask you to pay the fees. Labs and classrooms are well built and have projectors, equipment, and assistant teachers to guide students. It has the CAB ground where popular sports people like MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, and Dinesh Kartick have come to practice.

Faculty: All teachers are Ph.D. holders and well experienced in what they do. Some of them are recognised by various international universities for their research-related purposes. The curriculum is great. Exams are tough enough to be at one of the top universities in India.

Other: As far as the course is concerned, it's one of the most demanding courses with multidisciplinary fields to apply for jobs and research. I wish there were facilities to interact with research scholars in our department. This course IEE is studied at the Salt Lake campus of Jadavpur University, Sector 4, Salt Lake City, Kolkata. The campus is relatively small, but I love it. The Jadavpur campus and Salt Lake campus organise every fest in collaboration with students from each campus. SL Campus also organise CIIPPUS, which is a departmental fresher for all 5 departments together.

Jadavpur University has an excellent return on investment policy.

Placements: About 95% of students are placed, with an average salary package of 16.5 LPA. The highest salary was 40 LPA, and the lowest was 4 LPA. Top Recruiters are Samsung, Amazon, Texas Instruments, GAIL, Goldman Sachs, NTPC, Media.Net, Wells Fargo, PWC, LTI, etc. The placements for instrumentation and electronics are great. They got the roles of software developer, system engineer, analog engineer, engineering trainees, etc.

Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are decent. We have Wi-Fi, labs with proper equipment, and instruments. The classrooms and seminar halls are good. The hostels at the Jadavpur University Salt Lake campus are good. They provide a single room for one student. Mess food is decent, healthy, and also tasty. The canteen is clean and has various items to eat. At Jadavpur University Salt Lake Campus, the CAB ground is a good place to play games like football and cricket. We have a basketball court and table tennis.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful and goldmines. One is an ISRO scientist. Other faculty members are really talented. Semester exams are the toughest thing for us. The level of questions is high and you need in-depth knowledge to clear exams with decent marks. The passing percentage is 40% to 50%, depending on the subject.

Other: Instrumentation and electronics are growing fields. The future is bright for this course. Lots of opportunities are there in this electronics and instrumentation field.

It provides excellent placements, and has the best return on investment.

Placements: Around 80-85% of students are placed, and some of the students opt for higher studies. The average salary package offered is 11 LPA. The highest salary package offered is 32.6 LPA from Amazon India. Students get mainly software, core, consultant roles. Return of investment is very high.

Infrastructure: The college is old enough and probably that's why it still holds its glory. This is a state-funded college so the budget is low. The infrastructure is poor but the facilities like laboratories, instruments, testing machines, research laboratory, classroom are very well-equipped even some of them has air-conditioner.

Faculty: Faculty members are very qualified, and nearly 100% of teachers have Ph.D. degrees and some of the oldest and reputed colleges in India like IISC, IIT-B, IIT-KGP, Jadavpur University. The curriculum is a combination of ECE, ICE, and EE. So, this is purely a circuit branch.

Jadavpur University is a tier 1 and the affordable engineering college of India and is worthy.

Placements: About 80-90% of the students got placed with the highest salary package of 32 LPA. The average salary package offered was 12 LPA approximately. The top recruiters are Amazon, Texas Instruments, Wells Fargo, Goldman Sachs, Infosys, Nividia, etc. About 30-40% of the students got internships. It depends on the companies. Most of the students got roles as developers in tech-based companies.

Infrastructure: It is the second campus for this branch, we have a small campus compared to the main but it is fine. There are classrooms, and labs for each department, and a library common for all. The good thing is that we are provided with a single room in college which is good. The environment is neat and clean. Other facilities for sports and games are also there.

Faculty: Teachers here are qualified and very helpful. The teaching quality is good except few. This curriculum is relevant because it gives more opportunities than other branches like if students can choose with their interest. Since it has a mixed syllabus of both CSE and core branches. Semester exams are online, and we know it is easy. But offline exams are not easy.

Other: There are approximately 60 students in our batch with a very less ratio of girls because it's an engineering college. I chose this course because I got this. I did not know about this department before but now I feel it is good. that I get. I wish the strength of our batch should increase. Sanskrit is the main event of our college. Small fest take place.

There is a great education and college life at the most minimal cost.

Placements: About 80% of the students were placed from a batch of 60 students. Remaining 20% of students opted for higher studies from imminent universities like IITs and IISc. The highest salary package was offered by Amazon, which was 33 LPA on campus. The average salary package offered was around 11.8 LPA in companies like TI, Samsung, Honeywell, GAIL and Cognizant. Roles offered included both the core and non-core sectors, and also some students were also recruited for the role of an analyst. Around 20% of students got internships on-campus in TI, PWC, Wells Fargo, Amazon, etc. Some students even got internships off-campus.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is pretty fast here, and the labs are top-notch. But classrooms are decent. There is an exquisite collection of books in the library. The hostel is simple and not fancy, with quite cleaned rooms. The food served in the canteen is relatively good. There is CAB ground where cricket and football could be played. TT is also played inside the union room.

Faculty: The teachers here were very much experienced. Most of them had a doctorate, so they had a lot of knowledge. They taught in a simple and efficient way. The course is relatively new and has high demand in the market in the core sector. Semester exams are somewhat easy, and you just need to do regular practice. After solving the previous years' question banks, it is very easy.

Other: I chose this course because I wanted to try something new, and also I like electronics. The instrumentation part is not much interesting, but many non-core topics like computer architecture, OOPs, DSA, AI and ML, etc., are also included in our course. Two main events, i.e., Cippus and Sanskriti and one tech fest named Srijan are organised here. But because of lockdown, our college is closed, so we couldn't experience them. However, I have heard from our seniors that they are very much lively.

Absolutely the best college in terms of return of investment with having such a great placements.

Placements: Around 75% were placed for 2020-2021 batch. The highest was 32 lac CTC and the lowest was 3.6 lac CTC. Average package was 12.3 lac CTC. Top recruiting companies were GAIL and NTPC. Around 25% of students got internship in companies like amazon, texas instruments, PwC etc. Data analyst, software engineer, system designer are key roles.

Infrastructure: Labs are fully equipped and well furnished too but overall infrastructure is not that great due to funding issues. Hostel is just average given the fact that you pay around 300 per month as hostel charges but it's not available for everyone. Quality of food is very good, medical facilities are up to mark and sports has very good infrastructure.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and highly qualified here. They are very good in research and will help you in the same. You will not only be knowledgeable in core but also in software engineering department. Semester exams are not that easy but not too difficult also so passing won't be very difficult for you. Pass percentage at least for online semester is 95%. .

Other: I choose the course because it opened the opportunity to three direction that is you can go to instrumentation or electronics or software development. Not much improvement is required here because syllabus has been revised in 2018 only. Fests of our college are famous in while West Bengal, connectivity is very good from airport or railway station. You will get several extracurricular activities with several clubs present. Various kinds to scholarship offered by government will be present.
