Jamia Millia Islamia offers three-year BA and BA (Hons) programmes at the UG level. The BA (Hons) programme is available across 18 specialisations. Admission to Jamia Millia Islamia for BA and BA (Hons) is subject to either CUET (conducted by NTA) or JMI Entrance Exam. Till 2021, admission was subject to the JMI entrance exam across all specialisations. However, starting 2022, admission to a few BA (Hons) specialisations was CUET-based and for the rest, it is university-level entrance-based.

According to the JMI Delhi cutoff 2025, for the General category candidates under the Home State quota, the cutoff ranged from 62.75 and 63.75 percentile in the first round closing cutoff, wherein BSc (Hons) in Geography was the toughest course for admission, followed by BA (Hons) in Geography , with the cutoff in the first round being, 63.75, 63.25 and 63.25, respectively. Ranked 3rd in the country under NIRF ranking 2022 by the Ministry of Education, Jamia is considered to be one of the primary options for the students to pursue their undergraduate and postgraduate education in the field of Arts, Law, Science and Engineering. In the field of Arts and Humanities, some of the popular BA (Hons) specialisations include Mass Media (Hindi), Economics, English, among others. In addition to these popular specialisations, Jamia Millia Islamia offers BA (Hons) programme across 17 specialisations along with a BA programme. Despite the popularity, it is always recommended that the selection of specialisation in any course must depend on students’ stream, interest and academic background.
The mode of Jamia Millia Islamia course admissions is online. Admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses is based on merit and scores of entrance tests. At the undergraduate level, the university offers four-year BTech, three-year BCom, BBA, and other courses to students. At the postgraduate level, the university provides a two-year MBA, MCA, and various other courses to students. Jamia Millia Islamia University also offers distance learning, PhD, and various other courses to students. Currently admissions are ongoing. Jamia Milia Islamia releases the CUET merit list instead of CUET cutoff list. Candidates who will be shortlisted can check their names on the merit list when released. JMI releases the CUET merit list soon after the declaration of CUET results.
