Jamia Millia Islamia Cutoff 2025: Check JEE Main Round Wise Ranks

Jamia Millia Islamia has announced the JMI Round 2 cutoff for several undergraduate, postgraduate and Diploma coursres. Selected candidates were required to appear for the interview and counselling rounds. Yes, candidates with 93 per cent marks can get admission to Jamia Millia Islamia. JMI has released the Round 2 cutoff for several UG, PG and PG Diploma courses. As per JMI Round 2 cutoff list, the lowest cutoff was 29.5 per cent, where as the highest was 83.75 for MA in Political Science. Candidates can also get JMI with less than 93 per cent. Jamia Milia Islamia BTech in CSE is one of the popular programmes among students. Candidates seeking admission must fulfil the eligibility and selection requirements. The aspirants who are Class 12 with PCM with 55% / 3-4 year Diploma with 55% aggregate can apply. At the time of admission or form filling, aspirants must hold the relevant documents for verification purposes. 

Yes, Jamia Millia Islamia accepts CUET scores for UG courses such as BA, BSc and BVoc. Jamia Millia Islamia admission is based on entrance exam score. The university released its prospectus for admissions in March with the schedule for admission to courses accepting national-level and university-level entrance exams. JMI, New Delhi offers over 220 courses in both regular and self-financed modes. The university also provides distance learning courses at undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and Diploma levels.

NIT Manipur JEE Main cutoff 2024 has been released for admission to the BTech courses. During the Round 1 cutoff, the closing rank for CSE was 25886 for the General category students under the AII India Quota. Among OBC candidates, the closing rank for B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering stood at 8750. As per the CUET UG website, students seeking admission to BA at Jamia Millia must appear for and qualify CUET exam. However, since some universities are also considering other components while giving admission to CUET-UG based courses, it could be a possibility of getting into JMI without CUET. But, this being said there is no official information on whether the university will only consider CUET UG scores or other components as well for admission, it is tough to give the right answer. Students are therefore advised to reach out to the admission office for more details. 

Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For general category under All India, opening rank was 32346 and closing rank was 31594 in 2025. Cut off are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state.

The 2023 schedule for Jamia Millia Islamia entrance exam is out. The entrance exam will start taking place Apr 15 onward. For the same, students can fill out the application form between Mar 4 and Apr 3. In case students wish to make any changes to the application form, the same will open between Apr 4 and Apr 6. For 2025, cut off was 40794 for General category candidates in General All India quota for Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) in Jamia Millia Islamia [JMI]. Students must note that the NEET cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.

For last year, the closing rank for B.Tech. in Civil Engineering was 27730 which is very close to this range. This was for general category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut offs keep changing year on year, it is advisable to try to score better ranks to increase your chances of getting admission in Jamia Millia Islamia [JMI].

JEE Main Round 6, has been released for admission to the BTech courses. As per Jamia Millia Islamia JEE Main cutoff 2023, the Round 6 closing rank was 15487 for General category candidates in All India quota for Computer Science Engineering. BTech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant. Jamia Millia Islamia offers seat reservations in almost all the courses based on the category of the students. Candidates seeking JMI admission under the reserved category can apply for reservation under one category only and are required to fulfil the prescribed eligibility conditions of the course. More details regarding JMI reservation criteria are enlisted below:

• 30% of the total number of seats in each course are reserved for Muslim applicants. 10% of the total number of seats in each course are reserved for women applicants
  who are Muslims and 10% of the total number of seats in each course shall be earmarked for (OBCs) and ST students who are Muslims.
• 5% of seats in all the courses are reserved for physically challenged students.
• 5% of seats in all courses must be filled by internal students of Jamia who have passed their qualifying exam from Jamia schools as regular students.

Candidates seeking admission to Jamia Millia Islamia for BA must have passed Class 12 or SSC with a minimum aggregate ranging from 40-50%. The passing percentage is different for different specialisations offered in the BA programme. With an annual intake of over 900 students for BA and BA (Hons) programmes (including all the specialisations), admission to Jamia Millia Islamia for BA and BA (Hons) is subject to either CUET (conducted by NTA) or JMI entrance exam. Till 2021, admission was subject to the JMI entrance exam across all specialisations. However, starting 2022, admission to a few BA (Hons) specialisations is CUET-based and for the rest, it is university-level entrance-based.

Jamia Millia Islamia offers more than 500 seats overall for both BSc and BSc (Hons) programme at the campus of the university. BSc and BSc (Hons) at Jamia Millia Islamia is available across four and five specialisations, respectively. Additionally, for seat allotment, applicants scores in CUET/JMI Entrance Exam are considered. The seat break-up for both these courses is listed below:

• BSc (Hons): 300+

 The top universities in India have set upper or lower age limits for admission to their courses. However, Jamia Millia Islamia has not imposed any such age restrictions. There is no upper age limit to appear in the JMI 2023 exam. However, candidates securing the same rank and marks in JMI exam will be given preference, if they are higher in age than the others. While the current year's cutoff is not available online, past cutoff for Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) at Jamia Millia Islamia [JMI] other than General category is 35224 for PWD. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in NEET exam, the last cut-offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State.

Jamia Millia Islamia offers admission to a total of four BSc/ BSc (Hons) courses via CUET UG. As per the CUET UG website, students seeking admission to BSc at Jamia Millia must appear for and qualify CUET exam. However, since some universities are also considering other components while giving admission to CUET-UG based courses, it could be a possibility of getting into JMI without CUET.
