Teachers are good but placements are decent. A lot of opportunities for higher studies and research.
Placements: The percentage placement in electronic and communication engineering is approximately out of 70 students, 24 are placed. The highest package is 18 LPA, the average is 6 LPA, and the median package is 4.5 LPA. The recruiting company is Accenture. Many students get their internships in VLSI engineering and software.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is so good. All facilities are available such as Wi-Fi, labs, classroom, library, etc. The quality of hostel is much good, and all facilities are available such as mess, canteen, medical facilities, sports, and games. Labs are available with instruments and Wi-Fi so we can work properly in the lab.
Faculty: All teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable. The quality of teaching is good. In taken to industry-ready, there is some leakage in old engineering courses, and many students are passed. The semester exams are based on the basis of what teachers taught in the class.
Other: The courses are value for money, very less fee in engineering in this college. The fests are here in small manner, and crowd is there because it is a university. Many courses are running here. Scholarship opportunities are also available.

It provided good infrastructure and the best placements in 2022.
Placements: The highest package is 20 LPA. More than 30 companies visited the campus during JMI placements in 2024-25. The average package ranges from 8-9 LPA. The lowest package is 4 LPA. Big companies like Cisco, Optum, McKinley Price, TCS, etc., visit the college for placements. Around 70% of students got placed in campus placements, but in 2023-24, there were very bad placements for the ECE course.
Infrastructure: The engineering department has a separate library and reading room for engineering students. Jamia has a big library named Zakir Hussain Library, a sports complex, and an Ansari Clinic for students. There are 2 big reading rooms, i.e., Ibn e seena and Zakir Hussain. It has 6 hostels in which 3 students live in one room. The mess is decent for this money.
Faculty: The pass percentage of students in exams is about 75-80%. 2 sessional tests and one end-semester exam are conducted in the B.Tech course. Faculty members of electronics and communication course are knowledgeable. They all are PhD holders and very good at teaching.

Best college for engineering, especially for software.
Placements: Around 60% of students got placed in software, and 12% of students got placed in the core field. Companies like Optum, TCS, HCL, Accenture, Cisco, etc., are recruiting, and around 40% of students take internships in summer after 6th semester, and the highest is about 21 LPA, the lowest is 4.5 LPA, and the average of 9 LPA to 10 LPA package students have till now.
Infrastructure: The engineering faculty has a separate library and reading room, and classrooms have AC attached, and one big building with 5 different departments and a sports complex available, and medical services are also available for students. Jamia has 6 boys' hostels and 3 girls' hostels.
Faculty: They take a total of 2 mid-term tests and 1 end-semester exams, in which we can easily pass the exam before studying 3-4 days before the exam date. A total of 60% to 65% of students pass properly, but approximately 30% of students take back in some subjects. Our professors are quite good, some do not behave well in front of students due to ego, but overall, they are good.

It is a decent college for engineering students.
Placements: About 80% of students get placed in electronics and communication engineering, but in 2023-24, placements were very low in the electronics course. Only 30-40% of students got placed, and about 30-40% of students got internships in electronics. 2023-24 was the worst year for the electronics and communication course. Companies like Siemens, Accenture, and TCS are top recruiters of electronics and communication.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the engineering department is very cool. The library is present separately for engineering students. It also has a reading room for self-study. Wi-Fi connection is available with a centralised system. It has a total of 6 boys' hostels and 3 girls' hostels, and a decent mess, which is very affordable at that price. Jamia has a sports complex and an Ansari clinic for free check-ups for students.
Faculty: Some teachers are helpful, but some are arrogant. The electronic department has knowledgeable professors. They are PhD holders. In the semester, there are a total of two mid-term tests and one end-semester exam, which are not that hard. Jamia makes us industry-ready for placements.

Placements in B.Tech are improving every year. New courses also introduced in 2024 in tech.
Placements: Around 90% of students got placements in 2025. The placement scenario in electronics and communication was something like this 5 students got 11 LPA - 12 LPA, 4 students got 19 LPA - 20 LPA, 11 students got 9 LPA - 10 LPA. The average package is 9 LPA. In 2025, very good placements are seen in mechanical engineering. 2 students got 20 LPA and 3 students got 14 LPA - 15 LPA. Some students got 3.3 LPA in JET Japan. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Wipro, HCL, Siemens, and some other companies that also participate in 2025. Placements are offered in Optum and CISCO.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi and pure drinking water are available on the entire campus. There are separate reading hall, library, and canteen for engineering students. Air conditioning classrooms for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year B.Tech students not for 1st year students which is the biggest disappointment. Lift facilities are available for students to reach classrooms and reading hall. Quality of food in engineering canteen is quite good, variety of items both veg and non-veg are there. Free medical services for all students of Jamia Millia Islamia in M.A. Ansari Hospital of Jamia Millia Islamia located on the campus, including free facilities like medical checkups, physiotherapy, and free medicine.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified, knowledgeable, and helpful but at same time some teachers are very rude and not supportive. Higher semester exams are tough as compared to 1st and 2nd semester exams. The biggest issue is that the declaration of semester exam results is very late.

Jamia Millia Islamia campus is very big in compraison to DTU. DTU campus size is only 160 acres while JMI campus size is 1000+ acres. It is bigger because it is a university and everything is taught here while DTU is only for engineering.
