The institute has released the highest salary details for the 2024 placements. The highest salary offered to BTech students in 2024 was INR 59.91 LPA and was bagged by Computer Engineering branch students. This was offered by Atlassian. Earlier, the highets salary offered to BTech students in 2023 was INR 21 LPA.

For last year, the closing rank for BTech in Computer Engineering was 7216 which is very close to this range. This was for the General category under the All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however, the cut-offs keep changing year after year, it's advisable to try to score better ranks to increase your chances of getting admission to the BTech in Computer Engineering course offered at the Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI).

Jamia Millia Islamia admission to various UG and PG courses such as MA, BA, BTech, etc. is based on JMI Entrance exam. JMI entrance exam scores are applicable for admission to various courses. However, in 2024, the JMI cutoff hasn't been released by the institute for the admission to BTech courses. Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For General category under All India, opening rank was 15851 and closing rank was 15851. Cut off are differant when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state.  Admission to the BTech in Electronics and Communication Engineering in Jamia Millia Islamia [JMI] is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam JEE. Apply early as the seats are limited and the competition is very high.

Both Aligarh Muslim University and Jamia Millia Islamia offers BTech course for a duration of four years. AMU BTech fee will range between INR 15,690 and INR 10.78 lakh, whereas JMI BTech fee is comparatively less i.e. INR 64,600. Talking about the NIRF 2023 rankings, AMU was ranked 32 in the Engineering category, whereas, JMI ranked 26th spot in the list. Apart from the ranking and fees, JMI BTech placements are also good when compared to AMU. During, AMU BTech placements 2022, the highest package offered was INR 21 LPA. On the other hand Jamia Millia Islamia the highest package stood at INR 25 LPA during BTech placements drive 2023. So, considering all the aspects mentioned here, JMI is better than AMU for BTech. 

Jamia Millia Islamia is a popular and affordable public university in Delhi. Tuition fee for all the departments at JMI ranges between 5 K to 20 K per year. The hostel and mess fees are minimal, totalling 38 K for the entire year. JMI is also known for having the Faculty of Architecture & Ekistics. The university runs Radio Jamia on 90.4 FM, with a variety of programs.

From my point of view the Jamia Milia Islamic kidwaiMCRC has more placement than VIPS Delhi. The latest information on there respective website also tell the same. The main reason of great placement in Jamia Milia is there alumni network. The network is soo strong in there college that help them to have great placement every year. The environment is quite disturbing but you really stay focused and have a great state of mind, then you will have a great college life here. The facilities are good here but the environment in the college is the main Issue you will face.
