Good faculty, but 2024 was not a good year for engineering.

Placements: The highest package in 2024–25 in Electrical Engineering is 18.56 LPA in Optum. The lowest is 3.46 LPA in TCS Ninja, with an average of 7 LPA. Around 40 students are placed in 2024–25. Top companies like TCS, JSW, Optum, Zia Semiconductor, L&T, etc., visit the campus. Around 25–30 students get internships on campus, and around 80% of students get internships off campus. So overall, it is not a good year for Electrical Engineering in terms of placements.

Infrastructure: All five departments, Computer, Electronic, Electrical, Mechanical, and Civil, have a common building. There is one separate building for the library and reading room, fully air-conditioned with centralized Wi-Fi. Electrical Engineering classes have no AC. In Jamia, there are 7 boys' hostels and 3 girls' hostels. The mess is hygienic and very affordable. Hostel costs around Rs. 40,000 per year for mess and accommodation.

Faculty: Electrical Engineering has very experienced and knowledgeable professors. One professor, Ahteshamul Haq, is named among the top 2% of scientists in the world, and others are also very experienced. They help us anytime we need. The department conducts two session tests and one end-of-semester exam. Exams are easy.

2022 is the best year for electrical engineering.

Placements: In 2025, electrical placements are not good. Around 40 students are placed out of 78 students, and these 40 students are placed in Optum, TCS, Zia Semiconductor, JSW, L&T, etc. The lowest package is 3.45 LPA in TCS Ninja, and the average package in electrical engineering in 2024-25 is 7 LPA, while the highest is 18.56 LPA in Optum.

Infrastructure: The overall campus is good. The buildings are good, and the dentistry building is very nice, well-maintained, and well-designed. The engineering department has a personal library and reading room, and all 5 departments of engineering have a common building. There are a total of 6 boys' hostels and 3 girls' hostels. The mess is hygienic, and the food is decent at a reasonable price. Jamia has a sports complex and a free clinic for students.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. They teach us very well. However, some teachers are lazy and don't teach us with their hearts. In the engineering departments, all 5 departments take 2 sessional tests and 1 end-of-semester exam. We can easily pass the exams by studying before them, and approximately 70 students pass their exams.

Before taking Admission in JMI s B.Tech course, go through this review.

Placements: In electrical engineering, about 80% get campus placement, and among them, most are recruited by mass recruiters. The packages are not that high, but the ROI return on investment is high as the fee for the whole 8 semesters is about only 80k Rs hostel excluded, and the average package in electrical engineering is 4 to 5LPA.

Infrastructure: The hostel facility is top notch. Being a non vegetarian, it is heaven to be in a muslim university hostel, as the non veg foods are delicious, the menu is also mouth watering, and on festive occasions, they give special foods, and also the Hostel Annual functions are good.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, most are PhDs, and even some are IIT students. One of the teachers has been the NITs dean. The course is also relevant, workshops and labs are truly making students industry ready. I have not given any exams yet, but heard from seniors that exams are also tactically good for students growth.

Other: I chose this course as I wanted to study in Jamia Millia Islamia, as I have studied 9 to 12 in Jamias school.

Best placement in 2022 and Jamia is very beautiful.

Placements: The percentage of students got placed on campus is 75%. The average salary package offered is of 9 LPA, and the highest is 19 LPA. The lowest is 3 LPA. Internship percentage is 30-40. Students get placed in top companies like Optum, TCS, Accenture, Siemens, HCL, etc.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure structure of Jamia is very good and it feels very peaceful. There is a library named Zakir Hussain, and engineering department has personal library and a reading room. There is also a common reading room with centralized AC. Jamia has sports complex and free students clinic with a medical shop.

Faculty: Faculty members in our course are very good. They help us every time we need. They are well-qualified and experienced faculty and almost all have Ph.Ds and other big degree and departments. We have 2 sessional tests and 1 end semester exam which is not hard. We can easily pass by studying before exams.

The campus life is wonderful and good for the future.

Placements: Companies like TCS, Infosys, Siemens, Accenture, and Optum are the main companies for our branch in both software engineering and core. They come with an average package of 9 Lacs per annum, a highest package of 19 Lacs, and a minimum of 3 Lacs. Around 65 to 75% of students are placed in companies.

Infrastructure: The quality of food are above avg or quite good for this range of fee. Mess are hygiene and food are good in taste and total 6 boys hostel and 3 girls hostel and jamia has big library which zakir Hussain library and B.Teach has own library for engineering students and sports complex available and medical clinic also have.

Faculty: A total of 3 exams are taken by each department, which consists of 2 sessional and 1 end-of-semester exam. After 1 month, they release the results, and we can pass the exams by studying for 1 week before the exam. Teachers are well-qualified and experienced with great knowledge. Some are helpful, but as we know, 2 or 3 can be arrogant, but that's normal. Overall, they teach very well.
