LPU BTech Eligibility & Highlights 2026
LPU BTech course duration is four years. It is divided into eight semesters. The university offers BTech in different specialisations and also offers BTech (Hons) in three specialisations. LPU also provide lateral entry to its BTech courses. After Class 12, the students can apply for the preferred BTech course specialisation.
Some of the specialisations in which a four-year BTech is offered are CSE, ECE, IT, etc. In addition, BTech CSE - Big Data & AI Analytics is offered in tie-up with IBM and more such programmes. Check below the LPU BTech (Hons) and BTech selection criteria:

LPU BTech (LE) Admission: Eligibility & Selection Criteria
Selection criteria: Merit-based
Eligibility: A pass in a three-year diploma after Class 10 in any stream or a two-year diploma after Class 12 in a non-medical stream and ELR or BSc (non-medical) or BSc Computer Science and ELR with at least 50% aggregate is required to apply for BTech (LE) Construction Technology courses. Specific courses might be required for some of the BTech (LE) specialisations.

The total fee for BTech is INR 4.5 lakh -INR 16 lakh. The fee is calculated based on the semester fee. Admission to BTech course is based on LPUNEST or CUET UG score. LPU admissions usually begin in November or December every year. Candidates are required to register for the course of their choice as and when required. Step 1: LPU BTech Application Process 2026
The exam fee for LPUNEST is INR 1,000 for males and INR 500 for females. The 'Take Admission' option is available to all applicants. Step 1.1: Go to official website, https://www.lpu.in/, and click on 'Apply Now'.
Step 1.2: Register on official admission portal, i.e. LPUADMIT (admission.lpu.in) with basic details. The email id used during registration act as the username for the portal and the password needs to be set by the candidate while registering. Candidates can continue to apply for LPUNEST (for scholarship purposes).

Step 2: Slot Booking
This step applies to candidates appearing for LPUNEST. In LPUNEST slot booking 2026, aspirants need to select an exam date and a shift for appearing in the exam. There are two ways to book the slot that are slot booking by the candidate and slot booking by the authorities of Lovely Professional University.
Step 3: Selection Rounds
LPU conducts LPUNEST to select candidates for BTech admission. Lovely Professional University conducts the National Entrance and Scholarship Test for admission to its various courses. It is conducted in online mode every year for admission. Apart from LPUNEST, candidates can also apply with a JEE Main/ CUET score.
Step 3: Admission Confirmation
Post completion of the selection rounds, shortlisted candidates for BTech are further called for a document verification round. Aspirants need to confirm their seats by paying the BTech course fee. LPU BTech tuition fee ranges between INR 11.2 lakh and INR 16 lakh. Students must note that the fee for lateral entry courses is lesser.
