Placements: Almost 100% placement assistance are there. The highest package is 36 LPA.
The lowest package is 5 LPA.
This had been amazing experience for everyone studying in NIT Rourkela. Many IT companies, including core companies, came and hired people like Practice CIL, IBM, TCS, Microsoft, etc.
Infrastructure: Everything is available. The labs, gym, swimming, gaming, etc. are there. The quality of food is also very good. Wi-Fi is everywhere; canteens, food, beverages, libraries, and medical facilities are all of amazing top quality. There is nothing to worry about if you are a NITian.
Faculty: Yes, obviously, they are the motivators. Questions asked in exams are the same as those taught in the semester. Recruitment of faculty members is very tough at NIT. So they practically teach students in such a way that they achieve lifetime achievements. They are friendly, too.

Review of NIT Rourkela - National Institute of Technology.
Placements: In the batch of 2014-2016, lots of companies like Practo, Microsoft, TCS, Coal India and many more visited here. It is a huge campus, and it is an awesome and reputed institute. I am thankful to NIT. I suggest you to join here.
Infrastructure: It is a nice campus, and all things are awesome. There are no demerits. It is one of the best institutes in India, with an awesome environment. Classrooms are well-equipped, and there is a well-maintained library. Few places have Wi-Fi. Every course is available here, and you can opt for any.
Faculty: There are nice faculty members here. It was an immense pleasure studying here. A lot of theories are taught with practical knowledge. People recognise us by seeing the NIT degree. I love our college much.
Other: Studies, sports, concerts, events and many more are provided here.

I am absolutely satisfied. NIT Rourkela is the best institution in the world with good teachers.
Placements: In our batch (2017-2019) of M.Tech mining, there are 13 students in total, among which about 3 students were placed in the non-core sector through placements. About 3 students were placed through the GATE score in PSUs. Basically, from mining (M.Tech), we didn't get many chances to get recruited, but for B.Tech mining, there is a pretty good scope to get recruited in various public and reputed companies like Coal India, Vedanta, etc. Good placements were provided in 2019.
Infrastructure: Classrooms and other academic-related things like labs and equipment like Wi-Fi, air-conditioners and projectors were available in every classroom. The library in NIT Rourkela is a special place on the entire campus as it has huge volumes of collections of academic books as well as other collections like newspapers and magazines. The hostel and food are one of the important aspects for students, and NIT never fails in maintaining its standards in them. There are a total of 8 hostels in which 5 for boys and 2 for girls and 1 for PG and married staff members. In the hostel, they provide non-vegetarian food 6 days a week except on Monday. Medical facilities are available 24x7 on the campus only.
Faculty: Teachers here are always helpful, except for a few. Every teacher is highly knowledgeable. The course curriculum is very relevant to ongoing latest technology and developments and also as per on-ground problems in society. Semester exams were quite moderate.
Other: Mining is one of the challenging courses and more realistic. What we study in the course, we implement in real-life. Fest and events add more value to college life. NIT Rourkela organises many events and fests like Nitrustav, etc.

The placements of this institute is best in class for M.Tech in Mining Engineering but only for the topper students that are in academics as companies hire only 5-10 students.
