Panjab University, popularly known as PUCHD, was founded in 1882 as the University of the Panjab Lahore (in Pakistan now). It was then moved to Chandigarh in 1947, where the university was split between Pakistan and India. Step 1: Application Process

Panjab University Admission Process and Dates 2025
Panjab University Chandigarh admission 2025 is entrance-based for a majority of its courses. PUCHD entrance exams are PU CET, PU UGLAW, PU LLB Entrance Exam, and PU MET. Students are required to go through the university-conducted/ national-level entrances and then appear for the university-level selection rounds for final admission. The Panjab University Chandigarh admission process is conducted via online registrations.
Candidates must fill out the PUCHD application form before the last date. After a successful application submission, candidates must appear for the entrance exam of the respective course, they opted for. The answer is both yes and no. admission to all MBA courses is entrance-based at all the MBA offering institutes of PU. While for an Integrated MBA, students need a valid score in JEE Main exam, admission to UBS and UIAMS is subject to a valid score in CATor PU METexams, respectively. The campus of Panjab University Chandigarh Sector 14 is spread across an area of 550 acres. The university has 78 teaching and research departments and 15 centers/ chairs for teaching and research at the main campus located in Chandigarh. PUCHD also offers infrastructural facilities such as smart classrooms, a health centre, a bank, a shopping centre, a post office, a gymnasium, botanical gardens, a swimming pool, well-maintained parks, sports grounds, guest houses, an open-air theatre, a faculty house, seminar complexes, alumni house, community center and much more. - Library: AC Joshi Library is the official Library of Panjab University and is a 5 storeyed building equipped with computer and communication network houses with accommodation of 500 readers. The Library has subscribed to 312 current periodicals and has a collection of over 8 lakh publications including books, reports, government documents, newspapers, and a prized collection of 1492 manuscripts.

Panjab University BSc admission is entrance-based. The applicants only have to pass Class 12 with relevant subjects to be eligibile for admission. The final selection is based on the entrance exam score. Hence, candidates scoring less than 50% in Class 12 are eligible to apply for the course.
