PUBDET Result 2025 (Declared): Link to Download Rank Card @wbjeeb.nic.in/pubdet

The PUBDET result is accessible only in online mode. No rank card is sent via post or email. Follow these steps to download your PUBDET rank card:

1. Go to the official WBJEEB website: wbjeeb.nic.in 

2. Click on the 'PUBDET Rank Card' tab on the homepage 

3. Enter your Enrolment ID / Application Number, Password, and Date of Birth in the login details

4. Complete the captcha 

5. Click submit and your PUBDET result will load

6. Download the rank card as a PDF 

7. Take at least 2–3 printouts for counselling use

PUBDET rank card contains candidate's name, category, application number, subject, marks scored, cut-off marks, qualifying status, and General Merit Rank (GMR). Cross-check this information against your application data immediately. In case of any issues, such as a name spelling error or photograph mismatch, report to WBJEEB before counselling begins.

WBJEEB assigns each candidate a General Merit Rank (GMR) based on their performance in the entrance exam. WBJEEB calculates PUBDET merit rankings based on entrance test scores. The ranking is called the General Merit Rank (GMR) and is arranged in descending order of marks. In case of tie, a specific tie-breaking rule is applied to determine the final rank. 

WBJEEB does not publish a general rank or score list for all candidates. Each candidate can only download their own personal rank card via the official website. In addition to the GMR, category-specific ranks are also assigned on the PUBDET rank card.

Once your rank is released, students can use PUBDET opening and closing rank data from previous years to estimate their college and subject chances. Students can also use PUBDET college predictor by shiksha to predict their college.

Qualifying the PUBDET result is just the first step. Here’s what candidates need to do after the result is announced:

Step 1: PUBDET Counselling Registration: The Presidency University conducts PUBDET e-counselling. The counselling schedule is shared on the official website after results are declared. Candidates must register and fill in their subject/course preferences online.

Step 2: Choice Filling & Locking: Rank-holders are required to submit and lock their preferred subject choices within the PUBDET counselling window. 

Step 3: Seat Allotment: The WBJEEB prepares the merit list and seat allotment is based on the candidate's merit rank. 

Step 4: Document Verification: Qualified candidates called for counselling must carry all required documents for verification. These are:

• Printed PUBDET Rank Card

• Class X and XII Mark Sheets and Certificates

• Category Certificate (SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PwD)

• Valid Photo ID (Aadhaar, Voter ID, PAN Card)

• Passport-size photographs

• Sports certificate 

Step 5: Fee Payment & Admission: Final admission is completed after physical verification and fee submission by candidate.

PUBDET cutoff is the minimum score a candidate must secure to be eligible for counselling and seat allotment. It is released by WBJEEB after the result declaration and varies each year based on several factors.

• Number of applicants

• Exam difficulty level

• Total available seats

• Category of the candidate

• Number of counselling rounds
