Ranchi University BSc is one of the popular courses opted by the candidates for the duration of 3 years in various specialisations. The University offers BSc with an annual intake of 8700+ students through all the affiliated colleges combined. Admission to Ranchi University BSc can be availed by securing a minimum aggregate of 45% in Class 12 or equivalent. The University offers it with a total tuition fee ranging from INR 3.2K to INR 2.2 Lakh. 

Candidates who receive admission letters for the Ranchi University BSc courses must make payment of the fees prescribed by the university. Usually, at this stage, students are required to pay an admission fee. Along with this, students may also be required to make payment of the first installment of tuition fees.

No, you cannot take direct admission to some courses. The Ranchi University has many courses for doctoral ,undergraduates and  postgraduates students. From 198764 in 2021 to 164360 in 2022 to 135582 in 2023, this was the change. The Ranchi University BTech in Mechanical Engineering cutoff for the All India General category ended at 103803 in 2023, up 24344 ranks from 2022 (128147 rank).

Yes, Ranchi University does release a merit list for UG admissions. Once the application window is closed, the admission committee reviews all the applications received and prepares a merit list based on CUET UG results. Applicants without a CUET UG score are reviewed based on Class 12 scores. Once the list is produced, it is released on the official website of the Chancellor's Portal.

Students are required to submit these documents listed below while filling out the application form:

• Recent passport size photograph
• Marksheet for qualifying degree  of final semester/ final year (seventh semester/ pre-final year marksheet for the ‘appearing candidates' whose final semester/ final year results are pending)
• Qualifying MTech degree marksheet of final semester/ final year fourth semester/ pre-final year marksheet for the ‘appearing candidates’ whose final semester / final year results are pending)
• Valid GATE scorecard (as indicated in the application form for GATE candidates)
• Caste certificate/ EWS income certificate (to avail seat reservation under respective reserved category. The OBC-NCL certificate should be as per Annexure I and must be issued on or after September 01, 2019)
• Physically Challenged (PC) persons are required to upload a certificate of disability from the authorised medical board attached to one of the following: Vocational Rehabilitation Centre (VRC) for Physically Handicapped persons/ Special Employment Exchange for Physically Handicapped/ Government Hospital (district and state level)
• Endorsement certificate from the present employer (for sponsored candidates).
