All about my college experience.
Placements: Most students from B.Com get internships at a few companies. The course offers many things, such as gaining knowledge in literature while learning. Companies such as Tata come to our college. Around 70% of students get placements.
Infrastructure: There are no hostel facilities at our college. But it has a canteen, games, and a common room, which are well maintained. The food is affordable and hygienic. The library, labs, and classrooms are well decorated and properly maintained. They also have sports facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and qualified. The teaching quality is also good. They make sure to help every student possible. The semester exams are standard and not very difficult. The passing mark is 23/75. The course curriculum is relevant and also makes students industry-ready.
Other: They conduct many events. The annual fest is the most famous in the town. They also have extracurricular activities. The best thing about my course is that I like reading and am interested in literature, so I get to learn a lot from the course.

Best college in Kolkata, West Bengal. Take admission and start your dream.
Placements: B.Com placement depends heavily on your institution and your skill-building during your degree. While top-tier colleges guarantee lucrative corporate offers, most institutions require students to proactively secure internships. To develop highly sought-after professional skills.
Infrastructure: A well rounded course and its hostel infrastructure maximize student productivity and comfort. Core amenities seamlessly balance academics with residential well being. Smart classrooms are equipped with LCD projectors, digital podiums, and robust Wi-Fi to support hybrid learning.
Faculty: Course structure - including faculty qualification, curriculum mandates, and examination policies is dictated by the educational board or university. Faculty credentials, and assessment structures must align with guidelines from governing bodies like the UGC curriculum.
Other: I chose this course to align personal passion with clear career goals. I gain hands-on skills to bridge knowledge gaps and open doors to specialized, high-paying roles. If you are preparing for a university interview, drafting an SOP, or writing a feedback survey, use these structured points to specify program and campus experience.

A bit dissatisfied with the environment here.
Placements: None of us received any placement. They did not even advertise anything about placements. If we consider the global market, then pharma companies like Wipro and Sun Pharma recruited us as freshers, lab assistants, etc. From our batch, nobody got an internship.
Infrastructure: We had Wi-Fi on our floor. Our labs, classrooms, and library were well equipped. The hostel facilities were good enough. The food in the mess and canteen was average. There were good sports and games facilities. Many students even went for national-level matches and won medals. But the medical facilities were of average quality.
Faculty: Teachers were qualified and helpful. The teaching quality was not very good, but not bad either. Sometimes teachers were present but did not take classes. The course was relevant, more towards research and, to some extent, industry-oriented. The difficulty level was moderate. The pass percentage was about 80%.
Other: I chose this course because I was fascinated by studying bodily functions at the molecular level. The course gave me that exposure. The campus environment should have been improved. Overall, everything was above average.

Nice place, peaceful right now since 2026 and offers a great education experience.
Placements: It offers good education and students generally get nice job opportunities. As I have heard from some of the seniors some of them still haven't experienced it yet but in the NAAC grade this college is specified in an A grade which is quite good in terms of education qualification.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very comfortable and very clean. Though I haven't tried the canteen yet. Washrooms are clean but the main building needs more attention and cleanliness. Classrooms are big and nice in the main building whereas humanities and ACTC buildings also have AC classes which is not very common in government colleges.
Faculty: Faculty members behave nicely to students though some of them are rude to us. Overall the faculty help us very much during the exams and also provide us with notes which are required and are also helpful in clearing doubts during the study session. The staff are also nice.
Other: College can work on timely information and notices though.

Faculty should start teaching in English.
Placements: The college, though it promises placements, has a very low placement rate. Recruiters offer very low salaries. I think the college cannot keep up with its promise of good placements. The college needs to work on its placement offers. The salary offered is very low, around 2.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: The college building needs repairs. The walls have cracks. Classrooms are big, but the benches have become very old and need replacement. The washrooms are very old. I even saw that the clocks in the washrooms were broken. There is no adequate lighting in the classrooms. They have dim lighting.
Faculty: I personally would not praise the faculty there. Teachers, though knowledgeable, do not teach in English. They use the Bengali language to teach, which makes it difficult for students from other states to understand.
Other: The college has a very small campus. The area becomes very crowded during events. Very few fests are held, and to be honest, there is no campus life.

Best college with good infrastructure in Alipore.
Placements: Since this is a regular degree college there are no placements provided to the students. The college offers a regular Bachelor's degree in several fields of Science and Humanities. According to Calcutta University students are provided with internships which they can opt to pursue in the even semesters like 2, 4, or 6th.
Infrastructure: Good infrastructure consists of a huge college building and a smaller unit behind the college which forms the canteen and another spare building in the backyard. There is free Wi-Fi all over campus, a separate and a central library. No hostel is available. Good food is served in the canteen.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, knowledgeable, well-qualified and friendly. Few are gold medalists in their subjects. Good teaching quality in the overall departments. The course curriculum is relevant and sticks to the course. Semester exams are moderate to difficult. Pass percentage is 90-95 percent.
Other: I chose this course because it was also my interest, also because this is a good college for the course with good lab facilities for the subject and on-field experience through slump visits. Nothing to improve in the college, it's good. Sports, annual function, Rabindra Jayanti, and disease-related seminars are conducted.
