Fear of getting placed relatively low in grading. Good infrastructure.
Placements: Its my first year in VIT. I chose these college mainly because of their placement records. It is pretty good compared to other private colleges. I enquired about this with seniors, and they too convey the same that VIT provides good placements. Only if you are 9 pointer you get an opportunity to attend a big MNC that will pay above 20LPA. Otherwise you will not be able to get into such superdream packages.
Infrastructure: I am a day scholar, here the hostel life is good compared to that of day scholars. Hostellers get to attend events that will regularly happen on the campus. Many events are conducted at night. Day scholars will leave the campus by 5 pm. We cant able attend campus events that take place at night. Hostels are good. Classrooms are decent, and the lab is good. Central library is one of the best places on the campus where we can get Wi-Fi at a very high speed and is fully air conditioned.
Faculty: Faculty are overall good. Some teachers teach really nicely, and some are terrible. Curriculum is really good here, where we get to choose the subjects apart from some compulsory courses. They have a relative grading system, so your garden depends on the class average so we need to study regularly to .

Choose the course accordingly and don't get like university will make you placed.
Placements: There are around 650-700 students in our branch. Around 300-400 students got registered for placements but only 100-150 got placed with an average package of around 3-5 LPA. If you score above 7, it is fine to get into most of the placements. It depends on your skills. Sometimes, a 9 CGPA student cannot get placed where a 6.5 CGPA get.
Infrastructure: Facilities are top-notch with all food and hostel. The fee is high. Price and facilities are not up to the mark. Labs are good with Wi-Fi and AC. The sports ground is very small. They are building a new one probably in 2 more years, it will be built. Medical facilities are there. One hospital is there but it will be crowded mostly.
Faculty: Teachers depend on the department. For me, teachers are just PPT readers. Very less teachers are interactive and knowledgeable. Talking about passing the course, the university is strict. In my branch, electronics are tough and fail most compared to the computer course.
Other: Choose a course like civil or mechanical as there is a very small crowd in that so that you can gain good knowledge. Coming to fests, a lot of fests are held throughout the year. It is very crowded, so no one can handle it.

Good placements, infrastructure, and facilities, but some teachers could do a bit better in 2025.
Placements: Placements for my course are quite as it is possible to choose either electronics or computer science as a career path. This flexibility is quite sought after as it is not found in other courses. Companies such as Bosch, Honeywell, Amazon, HP, Qualcomm and other companies are some of the top recruiters for Electronics and Computer Engineering graduates. The maximum package offered is 33LPA, the average is 9.5LPA, and the minimum is 4.5LPA. Around 87% of students got internships as per the information given by seniors from the previous batch.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for my course, Electronics and Computer Engineering, is state-of-the-art, with multiple labs for each subject, each having top-notch and well-maintained equipment. Computer labs have the latest generation processors, which are more than capable. Hostel facilities are amazing, providing housing for thousands of students. Medical facilities are responsive, with an ambulance on standby 24/7 (personal experience). The library contains all the books necessary to pass your exams with flying colors and also has computers available for use by students at all times. There is also a digital library for electronic copies of textbooks.
Faculty: Most teachers are very knowledgeable and are more than capable. However, public opinion is that a few teachers, however knowledgeable they might be, lack a bit in getting that information efficiently to the students. Examinations conducted contain only analytical questions, which require a modest amount of brainpower to solve correctly.

Review of Vellore Institute of Technology - Chennai Campus.
Placements: The top salary was 1.02 Cr, and the least was 7 LPA. The top roles offered to people from my course were as electronics engineers at reputed companies. Top companies included Qualcomm, Mediatek, Texas Instruments, etc.
Infrastructure: The class facilities are really good. The classrooms are quite spacious, and every class has a projector. There are also separate meeting halls and a big library. The campus has good infrastructure with 3 academic buildings and 5 hostels. All hostel rooms are fully air-conditioned, and the quality of food in the mess isn't up to the mark, but you can always eat outside. We even have a Domino's inside the campus. There is a medical block, and all kinds of sports are available here.
Faculty: The teachers here know their subjects pretty well. They are all PhDs and teach well. We have FFCS (Fully Flexible Credit System) where we get to choose our own faculty and timings unlike other colleges. The semester exams are a bit hard, but if you study well enough, it is not so hard to get at least 8 CGPA. The grading is relative, so the paper hardness really doesn't matter.
Other: The reason I chose this course is because it is a mix of computer science and electronics. I found this course to be industry-ready. The events at our college are really good. We have two main fests every year. One is technical and called Technovit, and the other is cultural and called Vibrance. The intake here is high, so the campus can be crowded. The exposure you get here is really good. There are hackathons and workshops conducted by various clubs throughout the year. During cultural fests, many popular singers also come here for concerts. There are a lot of extracurricular activities to do. There are 150+ clubs here.

This college is a great option to consider joining.
Placements: In the ECM course, about 95 percent of students were placed; the highest package was 75 LPA, the lowest was 5 LPA, and the average was 7 LPA, in companies like Intel, etc. Almost 80 percent of students got internships, and the course highlights provided us with knowledge about electronic CS.
Infrastructure: The library has an excellent infrastructure. Wi-Fi is not great but acceptable; classrooms are adequate. However, hostel food is poor, and I don't recommend opting for an AC 6-bed room because most options won't have the AC turned on. There are several things to consider.
Faculty: Regarding the faculty members, they sometimes discriminate against students, so choose wisely. Semester exams are moderately easy, but it depends on your preparation. The curriculum is decent; however, many of us prefer self-study as we often struggle to understand during class. With good study habits, passing exams is achievable.
Other: Regarding events, most of them are paid events.

No, you won't be able to get CSE. CSE seats mostly finish by 30-40000 ranks only.
