VIT Vellore BArch Courses & Fees 2026: Eligibility & Selection Criteria

Admission to VIT BTech course is based on VITEEE score, followed by a counselling round. Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination is conducted by the Vellore Institute of Technology every year for admission to undergraduate engineering courses (BTech) of participating institutes. Every year, VITEEE is held to get students enrolled in various undergraduate courses. VIT also considers the eligibility of the aspirants for final admission. After completion of the selection rounds, the institute releases a merit list to announce the names of the shortlisted candidates. The shortlisted aspirants are called for counselling and document verification. Aspirants need to pay a course fee to confirm their seat in the institute.

VIT Vellore follows a very hard admission process, hence the candidates must prepare in advance before appearing for the entrance test conducted by the VIT Vellore. Candidates willing to get admission to various courses at Vellore Institute of Technology must pay an application fee of INR 1,200 for the MBA course. For Vellore Institute of Technology admissions, all the eligible candidates must fill out the VIT Vellore application form. Then, the Deemed University selects students for VIT Vellore counselling based on entrance exam scores. After this, students need to participate in the counselling process and on the basis of the final interview, students get admission to the Vellore Institute of Technology. It is recommended that the students must apply at the earliest as the seats are limited and thousands of students sit for the admission test conducted by VIT Vellore.

In some cases, yes, students can get admission in VIT Vellore without appearing for entrance test. The university does not require any entrance test for BBA, BCA, and BCom courses. But this is not applicable for courses, such as BTech, MBA, MTech,  etc. For these programmes, it is mandatory to appear for the accepted entrance test.
