VIT Vellore BArch Eligibility & Highlights 2026
VIT Vellore offers a full-time BArch programme under the V-SPARC School of Architecture for a duration of five years. The programme is approved by the Council of Architecture (CoA). Admission to this course is based on a valid NATA score. The shortlisted applicants will be called for counselling (virtual or physical) during which candidates undergo GDPI/ Skill Test. VIT Vellore prepares a final merit list on the basis of NATA scores, Class 12 aggregate and performance in GDPI/ Skill Test. Given below is the minimum eligibility criteria of the programme:

VIT Vellore BTech fee ranges between INR 6.9 lakh and 8.3 lakh. The fee changes depending on the specialisation. The total course fee has to be paid in the agreed upon instalments.
In some cases, yes, students can get admission in VIT Vellore without appearing for entrance test. The university does not require any entrance test for BBA, BCA, and BCom courses. VIT Vellore offers scholarships in the form of tuition waivers and freeships. While merit scholarships are awarded to class toppers, economically challenged students are provided need-based financial assistance. Furthermore, NRI and foreign students are given scholarships upon presenting meritorious records. There are mainly two types of scholarships offered at VIT Vellore viz. Scholarships under the STARS programme and GVSDP scholarship.
Vellore Institute of Technology offers scholarships in the form of tuition waivers and freeships. In addition, scholarships are given to students who excel in sports and games. Financial assistance is also provided to students who wish to do their project work in partner universities and institutions abroad, under the Semester Abroad Programme (SAP). Eligible students with meritorious records in State/ Central board examinations or VITEEE rank holders will need to present marksheet/ copy of marksheet or VITEEE scorecard along with all the other relevant documents while applying.

No, candidates can not get direct admission in VIT Vellore. The college provides an admission process to students on the basis of an entrance exam for the majority of the courses. Some of the popular national-level entrance exams accepted by the college are NATA, GATE, CAT, MAT, CMAT, XAT, etc.
No, VIT Vellore admissions are not solely based on VITEEE. The university conducts VITEEE for BTech admission, VITMEE for MTech admissions and VITREE for PhD admission. The institute accepts national-level entrance exams like CAT, XAT, MAT, GMAT, CMAT, ATMA, etc., for MBA course. The Vellore Institute of Technology has announced the VITMEE exam dates on the official website. VITMEE exam was scheduled for April 28, 2026 and May 3, 2026. Applicants had to carry their VITMEE admit card along with one valid photo ID proof at the exam centre.
