VIT Vellore. It's a good choice.
Placements: A huge number of 800 plus companies visited the campus. This year 21 LPA is the highest package, and the lowest is 3 LPA. For MCA 70 percent of students got placed. In MCA 2026 TCS is the top recruiter, Nokia hires only for internships. Mostly students got an internship in Nokia and many other companies as well. Software Developer, Engineer, Data Analyst, Technical Mentor, Assistant Professor, etc., are the roles offered.
Infrastructure: VIT Vellore has world-class infrastructure; not even a single negative point can be marked. Hostels are awesome and washrooms are cleaned twice to thrice a day. Housekeeping staff are available 24/7 you can call whenever you want. They come daily for room cleaning and if the room is locked they come again in the next shift. Food is manageable like a lot of variety is served, keeping in mind the students from different places. We have one whole classy building as the library.
Faculty: Faculty are highly qualified. The curriculum meets industry standards and is updated according to visiting companies' demand. For exams we have two CATs and one FAT per semester. 75 percent attendance is mandatory to appear for exams. Relative marking is done for results.
Other: Fests such as Gravitas, Rivera (major fest) are conducted. The campus is really crowded but the campus is huge enough to accommodate it all. If you are coming for a Master's (MTech, MCA, MSc, etc), extracurriculars are not for you because you'll not have time for it at all but if you are here for BTech, BCA, etc, it's all yours, Foodys, Clubs, Rivera, etc.

Good college, use the resources provided to level yourself up.
Placements: Placements are a little tough and difficult this year, but since it is a well-reputed college, I do not mind it. If you perform well in your semesters every time and look for technical opportunities like hackathons and perform well in them, it is enough. However, everything relies on your talent and skills.
Infrastructure: The hostel is great. The only thing you need is good friends. The course infrastructure is top-notch. Everything is up to date with modern world standards. The hostel mess is good, and you can choose from different mess options according to your liking. Labs are state-of-the-art and no less than industry standards.
Faculty: Exams are strict, and faculty members are helpful. They really help you if you reach out to them. Exams are conducted uniquely and effectively. You have 60 marks for internal assessments and 40 marks for the final assessment. The final exam is written for 100 marks. But it is converted to 40 marks in the final evaluation.
Other: People who aspire to become engineers but are not able to secure admission to IITs or NITs for their bachelor's degree can opt for this course. You earn both B.Tech and M.Tech degrees within a span of 5 years. So far, the course is really good.

It's really good in here.
Placements: The highest package is 1 crore per annum and the lowest is 3.6 LPA. Nvidia, MotorQ, TCS, and many more companies visit. You have to maintain a CGPA which is very important for the placements else it would be tough. Be good with DSA and coding skills with proper communication skills too.
Infrastructure: There is good Wi-Fi, well-maintained labs, hostels, courts, and 2 big grounds for boys which is enough. There are good canteens as well. As for me it works well though. It's great in here.
Faculty: Teachers are good but some are trash. You can choose the teacher by FFCS so no worries about the class timings and faculty you can take them from your wish which is a really great feature in VIT. We can get to know what subjects we need.
Other: The clubs are good too and the crowd is super cool. We can go on trips like Pondicherry, Chennai, and some hills nearby. There are some really good restaurants and food. They started any gaming zones as well.

Good placement in 2024, good opportunities, but limited edition.
Placements: I think around 80 to 90 percent are getting placed in my course, actually. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Microsoft, and Virtusa. The highest packages are around 30 to 40 LPA, and the lowest are around 4 to 6 LPA. Placement competition is very high, so I gave only 4 stars.
Infrastructure: We won't get good internet around colleges. Some labs are good, like the Physics lab, but others need better maintenance. Like, a 20 percent lab system will not work properly. The library is one of the best libraries, and all kinds of books are available. The infrastructure of the classroom is also good.
Faculty: The curriculum is getting updated year by year, which is not bad. But some of the faculty members are too worse in that college, they give marks to only North Indians. Some used to fail. But most faculty members are too friendly. We don't get a lot of time between internal exams. So it may be tough. Some subjects are irrelevant to courses. But subjects are relevant.
Other: Literally, events are massive here. We can enjoy a lot. Extracurricular activities are encouraged here. We can't say anything bad about events and fests. They always encourage our ideas.

Not a good placement year at VIT, but it is average, really good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: This is the main thing to consider, whether to join the institute or not. As of 2026, placements in VIT are average, but if you are a hard worker and you can stand in this big crowd, you can definitely get a good placement. Coming to the highest package, it's 1 crore by Motorq and the lowest I can say 3.46 by TCS for the ninja category. Most companies recruit for Software Developer roles and then Data Analyst roles, and some AI engineer roles.
Infrastructure: No doubt about the infrastructure, it is 5-star here. So VIT provides good Wi-Fi connections, labs for respective subjects, classrooms and a library, which are so good. Coming to hostel facilities, the hostel is awesome with care. The food served here is good and hygienic. Actually, we have many caterers who take care of the mess. We have 24/7 medical facilities here. We have a big outdoor stadium equipped for the college to play cricket, football and other sports like Volleyball, Tennis, and Basketball. We have many courts available here.
Faculty: Faculty, I say it's good. Curriculum, when I joined, was 2022. The curriculum was okay at that time, but it is the year when AI is booming, so they haven't gone for any changes, but now they have made some good curriculum where students can withstand and compete globally. Coming to the exam, it's average that one can prepare for exams before the exam, but caution if you can revise the total syllabus in one go, otherwise you will have an arrear.
Other: As I am from the passing-out batch, it is natural to feel somewhat sad because this is the end of the college phase of my life. But I have many memories that make me happy. I chose Computer Science Engineering with Information Security. One of the best things about this course is that it is an evolving field. It comes under the cyber domain. When it comes to placements, I feel that we were ignored whenever companies came for recruitment in the cyber domain.

I said all about my university, and now you have to pay me up.
Placements: I genuinely have no idea about the current highest package, but I know something about the average for my course, it is 9 LPA. That’s what I know, and companies like Microsoft, Oracle, and Google, and others, are like the top, but the placements are average only.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is so good that you cannot even download a PDF, as the classrooms are hot and burning people every day in the summer. Only a few fans are available. Labs are good, but the real deal is to manage the food and bulking up because the quality is good and the quantity is bad, and it’s the inverse in the other mess.
Faculty: Copying is possible in the exams. Itis not a good college for non-copying average students. Semester exams are not that hard, like JEE or NEET questions, but manageable. We have to do other projects and stuff at the same pace as the exams too. Teachers are mid. The curriculum has no connection with jobs.
