Exceptional facilities, strong placement record, and engaging academic environment.
Placements: 70% of students were placed in M.Sc. Biotechnology. The lowest package was 3.75 LPA and the average was 8.19 LPA for M.Sc. Biotechnology. The top recruiting companies are Dr. Reddy, Fortrea, Biocom, Syngene, etc., with 60% of students placed in these companies. Roles offered include research scientists.
Infrastructure: VIT provides a conducive environment with modern facilities and infrastructure to support the academic research and professional development needs of students pursuing biotechnology. Proper Wi-Fi connection, labs with equipment, separate classrooms, the biggest library specialized collection of books journals, etc., the hostel with green surroundings conducive environment to students, proper spacious vegetarian and non-vegetarian foods, Chettinad healthcare center for medical issues. Sports like indoor games, badminton, table tennis, etc.
Faculty: All the teachers are qualified, helpful, and supportive. The course curriculum is relevant, making students industry-ready. The semester exam depends upon the question paper prepared by the faculty, and the pass percentage depends upon the class average. But 40 marks should be obtained out of 100 in each exam.
Other: The course curriculum is relevant and always offers different career opportunities. Improvement in the curriculum would be better. VIT is enhanced with many clubs. Students with record performances in various sports games are selected for the award of sports scholarships. VIT Connect Riveria is organized each year. There are lots of events where students can participate. Extracurricular activities like clubs and music help students cultivate leadership and team-building skills.

The best placements and infrastructure along with an environment to study.
Placements: More than 90% of the students get placements. People from across the country are selected for the course. Dream salary packages offered are up to 15-20 LPA. The average salary package offered is around 5-7 LPA. Companies like Biocon recruits. All students get internships from reputed companies in Mumbai, Hyderabad, Tamil Nadu like Biocon, Mark.
Infrastructure: There are excellent labs, nice hostels, and the mess is pretty good. Wi-Fi is provided until 12:30 am (unlimited). Quality of the food served is good. Taste is fine. The library is the best I have ever seen. There are 24x7 medical facilities. There are many canteens in university. Sports and games are for everyone, and the events like Gravitas and Riviera are awesome.
Faculty: There are really good faculty members. They are helpful and understanding. Teaching is good from almost all the teachers. The course makes students confident and ready for PhD and industry-ready. Many subjects under biotech and SET is an important part for everyone, so it makes you ready for every aspect of the industry (science and engineering technology).
Other: The college is the best in India.

VIT, a better place to learn and grow if you utilize the facilities properly in the university.
Placements: VIT has very good placements but the problem is you get jobs mostly in the IT sector. If you want to get a job in the stream you have studied then, you should be probably among the top 10 students in your class.
Infrastructure: University has classrooms which are awesome, I mean at least for Biotech people because they have their lectures in smart classes. So they have everything like AC, smart boards and separate circuit boards for laptops and even separate desks. General labs are average for a high standard college like VIT but research labs are awesome but most people are not allowed unless and until they are doing a project under some lecturer.
Faculty: The curriculum followed in VIT is CAL aka Curriculum for applied learning which is unique when compared to other regular universities as CAL can be observed only in most of the IITs of India. The faculty is student-friendly but sometimes fluency of English is not that great in case of few lecturers. The faculty allows students to contact them anytime and they are ready to solve the issues of students.
Other: If someone is planning to get into VIT and want to be a day boarder, they better be hosteller in the first year and then go out and stay from the next year. This is mainly because you could get a friends circle and it will be easy for you to prepare for your exams. But the hostel wardens and supervisors are rough. If you want to change your room, it is impossible to do it.

The college is not just limited to academics but also in overall personal development.
Placements: Since in our 4th semester, we will be carrying out our project work. Most of the students get to work in companies like Anthem Biosciences, Novozymes and Merck. A certain proportion of students get to work in universities also. Students passing out get placed in prominent companies in places like Bangalore, Pune, Mumbai, etc.
Infrastructure: Our college provides good facilities like Wi-Fi, library, classrooms and labs. The campus provides a very holistic environment. Facilities offered in the mess could be refined a bit more, and uniform guidelines are followed with regard to different caterers. Ample importance is given to extracurricular activities like sports, and healthy competition between students is promoted.
Faculty: The university has a very sophisticated approach to teaching. The course curriculum is structured in such a way that it consists of equal proportions of theoretical and practical components to provide students with an overview of the mode of action from industrial setups.
Other: I heard about VIT when I was looking out for universities where I could pursue my masters, and I was told that it is a good place in terms of exposure provided and overall development. The best thing about the course is the number of projects that we get to work on, and it helps us to gain hands-on experience in terms of carrying out research work. Events are conducted elaborately and extravagantly for providing students with a very memorable experience.
