Q:   I am getting 7000 rank in JEE Advanced 2024. I want ECE at IIT Ropar. Is it achievable?
A:

Those candidates who are aiming for admission to ECE at IIT Ropar cannot avail this course as it was not offered in 2024. However, under the acquired rank of 7000, candidates can opt for Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering Physics, and Chemical Engineering programs. Further, as per the IIT Ropar cutoff 2024 for JEE Advanced, the cutoff rank for aforementioned courses for the General AI category candidates stood at 8836, 10097, and 11365, respectively.

Q:   Will I get into IIT Ropar if I am getting 12000 rank in the JEE Advanced 2024 under OBC Female?
A:

Under the acquired rank of 12000, candidates cannot get admission for OBC Female category. First of all, IIT Ropar do not release its cutoffs based on Gender and State-level quota. Considering the IIT Ropar cutoff 2024 for JEE Advanced, the required rank should be under 1084 and 4968 for the OBC AI quota. So, 12000 is not enough rank to secure a seat at IIT Ropar.

Q:   Can I get into IIT Ropar with 3000 rank in the IIT JAM exam 2025 (ST category)?
A:

IIT Ropar accepts IIT JAM scores for admission to the MSc course.  IIT Ropar has officially released the Round 1 cutoff ranks for MSc admissions through IIT JAM 2025. Analysing the IIT JAM cutoff, MSc in Mathematics was turned out to be the most competitive specialisations when compared it with the other two specialisations. The Round 1 cutoff for the MSc courses ranged between were 2492 and 4487 for the ST category candidates for the All India Quota. So, considering the 2025 cutoff ranks, yes a candidate can get into IIT Ropar with 3000 rank in IIT JAM. Check out the courses available at this rank under ST AI quota:

Yes, an average student may get admission in IIT Ropar. This is because admissions depend more on consistent planning and practice. Students have to prepare for the accepted tests and aim to clear the cutoff. Admissions are offered on an entrance basis.
