Human Anatomy

Students learn about different body systems, muscle structures, the thorax and all its parts, the head, neck, face and other body parts.

Exercise Therapy

This course has a lot to do with the body and improving oneself. Yoga, relaxation tips, hydrotherapy, posture, gaits, and more are learnt in this subject.

• Yoga

• Hydrotherapy

Orthopaedics and Traumatology

Here, students are taught about orthopaedics and traumatology in detail. Fractures, diseases, and deformities in various body parts are studied.

Subjects include:

• Peripheral nerve injuries

• Degenerative and inflammatory conditions

• Diseases in the joints and bones

• Amputations

• Soft tissue injuries

• Orthopaedic surgeries

• Lumbar and Cervical Pathology

Neurology

Neurology with BPT also includes Paediatrics and Psychiatry. The goal is to impart in-depth knowledge from all three areas.

Subjects include:

• Multiple Sclerosis

• Polyneuropathy

• Head injury

• Nutritional disorders of childhood

• Mood disorders

• Respiratory conditions of childhood

• Brain tumours and spinal tumours

Physiotherapy (in various fields)

Students are taught physiotherapy in multiple settings and for multiple types of patients. This is one of the most important courses in BPT.

• Physiotherapy of deformities

• Physiotherapy of infectious diseases

• Management of Amputation

• Fitness and health promotion

• Community Health

• Paediatric neurology

• Drug Therapy

Clinical Testing

Students learn about different types of clinical tests and special tests for various body parts, such as upper and lower joints.

Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation

The principles, procedures and techniques of CPR, understanding signs of heart attack, etc., are taught.

Physiotherapy evaluation

This course emphasises the importance of evaluation. PT evaluation for various conditions is taught to students.

Clinical Diagnosis

Students will conduct a clinical diagnosis of orthopaedic conditions, cardiac conditions, OBG, and more.

Acupuncture

Not only is the history of acupuncture taught, but also how to conduct it, whom to treat and whom not to treat, etc.
