Creating engineers with a vision.
Placements: 98 percent of the students get placed. Placement training is given at the college, ensuring students improve their communication skills and domain-based knowledge. Foreign language training is also given from the 1st year for placements and higher studies.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are fitted with smart boards. The campus is fitted with Wi-Fi all over. Spacious and ventilated classrooms. LCD projectors are fitted in all classrooms too. Separate classrooms for each department. Clean environment. Top-class facilities in labs and research centres.
Faculty: Faculty members are knowledgeable and approachable. They are very friendly and clear with the concepts. Many professors are PhDs. The course is affiliated with Anna University. Notes are given for each subject that explain the concepts well. Project-based hands-on learning for a clearer understanding of the concepts is also provided.

Top most college in Tamil Nadu especially for mechanical engineering.
Placements: Most probably more than 90% of the students are being placed by our college, especially in the mechanical department. Some students choose to go for higher studies or go abroad for higher studies. This college is giving training for gate examinations. The lowest salary is 4 LPA and the highest is like average of 30 LPA for the mechanical engineering department.
Infrastructure: Especially for the mechanical engineering department, there are many labs and centers of excellence present inside our college which makes it very easy for us to learn everything practically. They use smart boards which are like touch TV where they used to teach us instead of old blackboards which make us understand and learn things practically. They are providing free Wi-Fi around the campus and to the hostelers also. Canteen foods are so hygienic and taste good. Hostels have excellent infrastructure but the food is not that good that's the reason for giving only 4 stars.
Faculty: Teachers always be there to clear out doubts and they are not that strict, they are friendly with students, how we behave with teachers also matters. Course curriculum is awesome instead of studying everything which is not even useful in our life they only teach useful subjects. They give us assignments and tests daily for our practice and learn new things. They make us do projects and internships. Semester exams are quite tough but if we study it's easy it's according to each other's point of view.
Other: I have decided to choose my course in my 8th standard as I was interested a lot in the automotive industry. For core department mainly mechanical department, this is the best college. Campus is not quite big but we can enjoy the life peaceful and happily. Culturals and other activities are awesome. Students who want to enjoy college life and get good placements at same time can come to this college for their studies.

A college with excellent and consistent placement records.
Placements: The college always delivers when it comes to placements. It maintains an amazing record of placing more than 90% of students in each batch. The placement package varies a lot with departments. The highest package was 51 LPA last year. Opportunities for internships are provided starting from the first year. CIT provides af ull-time hands-on training for students starting from the third year.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite good, with neat classrooms and labs equipped with Wi-Fi and other smart facilities. The hostel rooms are quite comfortable and well-maintained. The mess food is quite decent but a bit repetitive.
Faculty: Teachers are well-educated and helpful. Most of them have completed their PhD. I have a great experience with all my core teachers as they have good subject knowledge combined with real-world experience. They are approachable and always ready to support. They also provide guidance to their students.
Other: CIT provides a platform where students can grow their knowledge in various domains. This includes language skills, sports, and various technical skills. Our college conducts technical fests, cultural events, and annual symposiums where each department gets to showcase its expertise and innovation. Technical and non-technical events are conducted quite regularly.

This college is not for effortlessly learners.
Placements: 94% of students were placed in the 2024 passout batch. The highest package was 50 lacs per annum placed in Microsoft and the lowest package was 3.5 lacs per annum. The average package was between 6 and 7 lacs per year. The top recruiters were HCL, Microsoft, Cisco, Range, Zoho, etc.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi facility in the hostel was bad and there was ping in the Wi-Fi in the classroom too. In labs, the Wi-Fi speed is good and the lab technician is very knowledgeable. They help students make projects. The good thing about the faculty is that they give all the notes and syllabus for the exam.
Faculty: It's a bit topical to understand what they are taking in class. The courses were too old and not up to date but in the lab, we can learn on our own with the assistance of lab staff. Semester exams are difficult. The pass percentage is 80%. Many industrial training programs are available.

Meets your expectation in every aspect and promotes better knowledge transferring.
Placements: Good placements are made available for Mechanical in core sector companies. The companies like JSW steel, Fronius, Hyundai motors, Siemens, and others provide placements with high packages. The college has a high number of students placed by these companies.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good and heart warming. The infrastructure provides a welcoming appearance and has an amazing atmosphere surrounded by a pleasant environment. This provides a calm and pleasant mindset to the students for studying. There is a gym for fitness maintenance.
Faculty: The college has the best curriculum and exam pattern. Friendly faculty members give us a better understanding of the concepts and open areas to our own project ideas and innovation. The various workshops and competition instructions provided by the faculty members give us exposure.
Other: Campus life encourages healthy competition. Life at the Chennai Institute Of Technology gives space for your talent and entertainment.
