Outdated Curriculum, Poor Facilities, and Below-Average Placements.

Placements: In my batch, most of the seniors are placed at companies with a salary below average, with almost no options available to them. Most of the companies recruit for full-stack developers and currently some AI roles with companies, namely Infosys, Cognizant, LTI Mindtree, Deloitte, Accenture, IBM, Byjus, Amazon, Capsitech, and other mid-sized companies. Students are mostly placed in Capsitech for internships. In my batch, 75% of students got placed.

Infrastructure: Overall infrastructure is good, Wi-Fi is available but at very slow speed, Classrooms are big with big windows but no AC (air conditioning) in most of the classrooms. Library is very big but most of the books are back date. Medical facility is good but average. Canteen food at Faculty Hostel is good but at students hostels it is below average. Sports and Game Facilities includes a Football ground with less maintenance, a basketball court on which mostly faculty's cars are parked and is very slippery during rainy season, there is a Gym too with old but usable equipment.

Faculty: Most of the teachers hold M.Teach degree, some of the faculty hold Ph.D. Degree and are highly helpful and knowledgeable. I am from this depth so I can tell some of the teacher and good and some are the worst. The curriculum is old and will not make industry ready. Semester exams are easy to pass as it is an autonomous college.

Other: I choose this because this branch is new, the syllabus is comparatively newer than other existing branches. Best thing about my course is fields like AI and Data Science jobs are in trend today. Improvement: The course should be structured to prepare a student at an industry level with some irrelevant subjects. Events and Fest are rare and even if conducted the ambience is very poor, and the college is very remote with the worst connectivity with, the fastest way to reach Kolkata is by train through Haldia station while train timing being very rare.

Good placements and vibrant campus.

Placements: In my batch, around 85% of students got placed. The highest package is 12 LPA, the lowest is 3 LPA, and the average is 5.5 LPA. Top recruiters include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, and Capgemini. About 70% of students got internships as software developer, analyst, etc.

Infrastructure: Our department has smart classrooms, Wi-Fi, modern labs, and a central library. Hostels have decent rooms, 24/7 Wi-Fi, and clean washrooms. Mess food is average and canteen is good. Medical facilities are available. Sports facilities are well-maintained.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. The course is mostly relevant with practical exposure, making students industry-ready. Semester exams are moderately difficult. The pass percentage is around 85%-90%.

Other: I chose this course for good career scope in tech. The best part is practical learning and placement support. Need more advanced topics and internships. Campus fests are vibrant, the crowd is friendly, good connectivity, decent scholarships, and active clubs.

Before the lockdown in 2021, the placement was very good but after that placement has decreased.

Placements: Placements are not very bad. Top companies like Wipro, Infosys, Teach Mahindra, Cognizant, IBM, etc have visited this year for recruitment. Other companies also provide jobs to CSE students as every technology company can hire a CSE graduate.

Infrastructure: My college library is very large, named Aryabhatta Library, and has almost 50000+ books. The food and hostel facilities are also good. They are available at a very cheap price we can afford both. There is a strong Wi-Fi network, and each room has its own personal Wi-Fi connection.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable, and the quality of teaching is good. The course curriculum is not ideal for placement prospects; to get placed, you need to learn exceptional skills and maintain a good CGPA to qualify for interviews at reputable companies. The semester exams are not very difficult; studying for a week is usually enough to pass.

Other: In my course, the average salary for a data scientist and data analyst is above 10 LPA, but you can't get a data scientist position here because data science companies do not visit here.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of campus life and seniors.

Placements: Mass recruiters are Capgemini, Accenture, and Infosys. They offer a package of around 3-5 LPA. Around 60-70% of students get placements with such packages. However, if you have extra skills, you can grab around 7-8 LPA in the college. For this year, the placement states are not up to satisfactory level and it's still going on.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college and classrooms are good. There are some classrooms equipped with air conditioners. However, most of the classrooms have fans only. The campus is equipped with Wi-Fi (34 MB free for 1 day. However, the hostel rooms are decent with a Wi-Fi facility.

Faculty: Faculty members are average. They have the knowledge of the topics. Exams are conducted without any fixed prior schedule. Dates generally vary as scheduled during the commencement of semesters. In the Examination, the majority of the students depend on micro and heat. The invigilator also knows this but they don't take very strict action if anyone gets caught.

Other: I chose data science as I have a keen interest in mathematics and have a dream of becoming a data analyst. I chose this college to see the campus and surroundings but after coming here, I got traumatised by the reality that there is always that senior superiority in everything. You can't even roam freely on the campus, and if you get caught, you will have to go through their ragging. For campus life, I won't suggest this college to anyone.

Really good infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: Above 70 to 80 percent of students are placed per year. The highest package offered is 30 to 40 Lacs, and the lowest package offered is 3 to 5 Lacs. The top recruiting companies for my course are Infosys, Wipro, IOCL, Haldia Petrochemical, etc. 50 percent of students got internships from my course.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is quite good, and the facilities of the hostel are the best. Good quality food is provided in the hostel mess. Medical facilities are also available 24/7. In the hostels, all types of sports facilities are available. Labs, classrooms, and the library are also in good condition.

Faculty: Yes, teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, and the teaching quality is also quite good. Yes, the course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready. The semester exams are a little difficult, and the pass percentage is 33 percent.

Other: The best thing about my course is that there is a lot of scope in the future.
