Heritage is best college.
Placements: About 90%-95% of the students got placed from CSE, IT and ECE branches, while 50%-60% of the students got placed from core branches. The highest package offered is around 12 LPA, and average is 4-5 LPA. About 80% of students got internships at HIT.
Infrastructure: HITK Infrastructure is excellent. The labs are well-equipped. There are more than 3000 books in library. Girls hostel inside the college campus and boys hostel is 10 minutes away from college. The food at canteen is very good and canteen is clean.
Faculty: Teachers are extremely helpful. About all teachers at HITK Ph.D. qualified or M.Tech qualified. Teaching quality is very good. They not just helping students in college activities they also help you in your personal project. 35% is the pass percentage.
Other: There are lots of events organized by different clubs of college. The fest at HTIK is very popular in Kolkata.

The quality of education is satisfactory, and placements were average. Labs are well-equipped.
Placements: Placements in our college are average for B.Tech students. Our primary recruiter is TCS, and they are the ones who hire the majority of our students. Last year, over 300 students got placed in TCS; around 300 other students got placed in various other companies. In general, companies like TCS, Infosys, Microsoft, Ashok Leyland, Hyundai, etc., visit our campus for placements. The average salary package offered was 3 LPA. The highest salary package offered was 12 LPA, which was offered by companies like Microsoft. There is a placement cell in our college. However, I haven't heard of any direct internships offers provided by our college. But, we can often find internship advertisements on our college notice boards.
Infrastructure: Labs in our college are well-equipped. They are available with all sorts of equipment, which are required for our lab assignments. Equipment is well-maintained and is not generally faulty. The equipment is updated and changed as per the latest hardware requirements. The conditions of classrooms are average. However, it needs improvement when it comes to overall aesthetics and comfort. The toilets need serious maintenance as they are usually dirty, and doors do not function properly. It is not uncommon for the taps to stop working frequently. The quality of the food served in the canteen is below average. The quality of the food and taste need to be improved a lot. The materials used and the taste of the food is not as good as compared to their high prices.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are well-educated. Most of them are PhD holders, while lab teachers are either masters or bachelor degree holders. Even though the teachers are knowledgeable, they need to improve the delivery quality of teaching. Projectors are sometimes used to aid them with their lectures, but the overall teaching process needs improvement. We usually have 3 to 4 faculty members teaching the same subject separately with a class of average 70 students. The curriculum is pretty backdated and needs to be updated. The syllabus for 1st and 2nd year is useless as you don't need those subjects in actual industrial work. We don't have proper industrial training and exposure opportunities, which is a huge drawback. Students are taught theory subjects along with many lab classes, but they do not receive actual industrial training.
Other: The campus is huge and spacious. The environment is nice, and the crowd is low to moderate since it is a huge campus. We do not have any open Wi-Fi on our campus or in certain buildings of our college. The college often conducts extracurricular activities such as quizzes, debates, sports, and events such as fest. The college often provides notifications for scholarships on their website. The scholarship is provided to students whose family annual income is low. These scholarships offer great help to students belonging to lower-middle-class income families.
