The campus is peaceful serene and beautiful.
Placements: From 3rd year the students become eligible for campus placements. The college also allows them to sit in placements even after passing out. The average package that our college offers is around 3.6 LPA while the highest one can reach up to 16-18 LPA it is based on the student's merit and performance. Many renowned companies visit and offer career opportunities to students.
Infrastructure: The campus life may just be the best part of IIT Guwahati be it the general championship or Alcheringa the college truly comes alive multiple times a semester. There is a club for everything and if you find an interest that does not have a club then you can just grab your friends and make one.
Faculty: The faculty-to-student ratio is proper as it should be in a college. I personally like Debraj Roy sir since he is very fun-loving and at the same time explains Maths as if it might be the easiest subject in our course. I can't recall any of the faculty members whom I might not like. There are 4 internal exams CA1, CA2, CA3, & CA4, and a semester exam at the end (IT A Makaut Affiliated College).

Campus is so beautiful and surrounded by mountains.
Placements: I don't have any specific idea about it, but at the time of admission, our faculty members told banking companies visit our college. Many internship opportunities are provided for final-year students. Placements are decent in our branch. But in recent times there has been a dip in coming companies. The average salary package of our branch offered is 8 LPA. The highest salary package offered is 21 LPA. Almost 80% of students got placed and others chose a Ph.D. I plan to get a good salary package job.
Infrastructure: The overall experience can't be expressed through words. One has to come to IIT for that experience. It's a life-changing moment for me. A huge library is available on campus having more than 1 lakh books. So many clubs and societies are available. Every sports facilities like cricket, football, volleyball, badminton, tennis, etc are available.
Faculty: Examinations are conducted two times per semester, first are sessional exams and then final exams. Faculty members are good and we have different teachers for all subjects. There are 3 course-specific subjects in every semester and 3 or 4 skill-enhancement subjects. My favorite faculty member is Suman Ma'am, who taught C language in our first semester.

Nothing to improve; our college is doing their absolute best.
Placements: The placements are started from the third year, I think the second semester of the third year. In every branch, they got good placements. But they have to increase the placement count because some students are backed due to no job. Presently, I'm a second-year student. After my second year, I'll do my internship. As per my seniors and faculty, for my branch, ONGC, Coramandal, and some chemical companies have provided internships, and this is an online internship. After the third year, we have to do an offline internship.
Infrastructure: And finally, we come to my favorite discussion: sports and social activities. Coming to clubs, there are various clubs in sports, cultural, and technical aspects. They provide more things for these aspects. The rooms are a bit small comparatively because they are only for two members, but they are so good. They provide two tables, one fan, two beds, one light, and two cupboards, which are exactly enough. In the mess, we have chicken two times a week, daily milk, and one egg at night. One sweet daily.
Faculty: The faculty and student relationship is good. They are very close to students to clarify doubts and other things. Some exams are easy, like Environment and Basic Mechanical, but some subjects like Thermodynamics and more are difficult. Faculty is also very good at clarifying doubts and teaching.

Our college has good placements, awesome faculty, and a campus that provides a great environment.
Placements: Around 80% of students get placed. The highest salary package offered was 88 LPA. From the 8th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. My plan is to gain experience in the industry for two years and then pursue a master's degree in teaching.
Faculty: All faculty members were qualified, knowledgeable, and good. The student-teacher relationship is also positive. We have three exams per semester. The first two exams are of 50 marks each for each subject. The third exam was of 100 marks for each subject. To opt for this college, students need to take the entrance test.

The environment of the campus is so nice and good.
Placements: Wipro, L&T, Deloitte, TCS, Flipkart, Byju's, Vedantu, Amazon - these companies are the main hiring partners. There are also many more, but I'm not able to recall them currently. In my last semester, I have to submit a major project and present it in front of the placement cell or HOD.
Infrastructure: We have different fests throughout the year: Alcheringa (cultural fest), which is held around February or March every year; Techniche (tech fest), which is held around September every year; Spirit (sports fest), which is held around November every year; and other small fests like UDGAM, Virasat, and Prayatna, etc. The range and accessibility of books and journals available in the library are vast. The classrooms are equipped with speakers, projectors, and different facilities. There are so many extracurricular activities and clubs in the college, like a film club, a photography club, an electronics club, and a coding club, etc.
Faculty: Faculty members are very experienced in their subjects. Some faculty members are like our parents; they guide and motivate us and also crack jokes in the middle of class, but some faculty members are very strict. In my class, every subject has the best, most knowledgeable faculty available.

The environment of the campus is so nice and good.
Placements: From the seventh semester, you are eligible for campus placement offers. And before that, in the 5th semester, you get internship opportunities from the college. Around 300 companies came for on-campus recruitment, and this year's placement percentage is around 82%. And the average package is around 25 LPA, and the highest is around 1.9 crores per annum.
Infrastructure: We have different fests throughout the year, i.e., Alcheringa (cult fest), which is held around February or March every year; Techniche (tech fest), which is held around September every year; Spirit (sport fest), which is held around November every year; and other small fests like UDGAM, Virasat, Prayatna, etc. The range and accessibility of books and journals available in the library are vast and easily accessible. The classrooms are equipped with speakers, projectors, and different facilities. There are so many extracurricular activities and clubs in the college, like Film Club, Photography Club, Electronic Club, Coding Club, etc.
Faculty: The faculty-to-student ratio is around 1:20. And you can easily reach out to faculty members through their mail, or you may go to their offices. There are no such faculty I liked, but professors are good and highly qualified. And for every semester, you have different faculty for different courses. And I also didn't dislike any faculty member. Exams: In the whole semester, you have 2 quizzes, a mid-sem, and end-sem exams, which happen around every month from the start of the semester.

No, students can not take direct admission in the BTech programme at IIT Guwahati. The college admits students based on score in JEE Advanced. BTech is the flagship course of IIT Guwahati and it is very competitive to take admission in this course.
