The total fee for the four-year BS programme of IIT Kanpur is INR 8 lakh. This is inclusive of the one-time admission and caution deposits but is not inclusive of the hostel fee. NTA announced JEE Main 2024 dates. NTA coducted the JEE Main 2024 exam in two sessions. JEE Main 2024 exam date session 1 was January 24 to February 1 while the second session was held from April 4 to 15. Candidates can check JEE Main 2024 exam date session 1 and 2 on this page. JEE Main 2024 application form session 1 was available from November 1 to December 4. For session 2, NTA released application form on February 2.
IIT Kanpur BSc seat reservation is prescribed by the Board of Governors subject to the policy formulated from time to time by the Government of India. The seats are reserved for the SC, ST, OBC (Not belonging to Creamy Layer) and PwD (Person with Disability) category candidates.

To get a seat in IIT Kanpur for BTech/BSc/BS admission, candidates must qualify JEE Advanced. The IIT Kanpur JEE Advanced Cutoff 2024 was released branch-wise and category-wise. Among the General AI category candidates, the Cutoff ranks for different courses closed at a range of 252 and 10058. The most competitive course among the General AI quota candidates was BTech in CSE. Among the OBC AI category candidates, the cutoff ranks closed at a range of 132 and 4766.

IIT Kanpur BTech cutoff trend is on the decreasing side in recent past. In 2022, the closing rank for BTech. under general category for all India quota was 1368.
IIT Kanpur accepts JEE Advanced and JEE Main scores for admission to BTech. Admission to all the courses is based on scores obtained in the entrance examinations such as GATE, JEE3 JAM, CEED and CAT. Along with UG and PG courses, IIT Kanpur also offers PhD in various specialisations. Selection for the same is done based on GATE scores followed by a Written Test/ Personal Interview conducted by the institute.
CAT exam usually takes place in the month of November. The registration has starts from August and the last date of application is auntil September.
