IIT Kharagpur's Vinod Gupta School of Management offers a two-year MBA degree in seven specializations and one micro specialisation. The Vinod Gupta School of Management's (VGSOM) flagship MBA curriculum is a residential programme for recent engineering graduates and those who have earned master's degrees in Science, the field of economics or commerce. The MBA programme has developed into one of the best in the nation, fusing the IITs' strengths in technical education with contemporary management philosophy. Yes, IIT Kharagpur does accept GATE scores for admission to its M.Tech programme. Applicants must have a valid GATE score relevant to the discipline of their qualifying degree. In cases where there is no specific GATE paper available for a particular discipline, XE/XL/XH papers of the GATE examination can be considered. GATE is the accepted entrance exam for admission to IIT Kharagpur's M.Tech programme.

Both IIT Kharagpur and IIT Bombay are among the top institutes to pursue a B.Tech. In computer Science and engineering. Here is a small comparison: 1. Raking: The IIT Bombay has been ranked 3rd by NIRF, whereas the IIT Kharagpur has been ranked 5th in the 2022 rankings. 2. IIT Kharagpur is one of the oldest and reputed institution in the country known for its Engineering education. However, the brand name is also a key factor for candidates while choosing it to pursue higher education in the field of Management, i.e., MBA. Admission to the course is based on JEE Main and JEE Advanced scores. Students seeking admission must qualify both these entrance exams for admission to IIT Kharagpur. For admission to MBA at VGSOM (IIT Kharagpur), candidates need to qualify CAT followed by WAT and personal interview round. The minimum CAT percentile required is 90 for general category students. For NC-OBC and SC/ ST/ PwD the minimum CAT percentile required is 80 and 75 respectively.

To be eligible for admission to MBA at VGSOM, candidates must have the following:

• A bachelor’s degree of minimum 4-year duration in Engineering, Technology, Pharmacy, Medicine, or similar streams
• OR a master’s degree in Science/ Economics/ Commerce (with Mathematics or Statistics at Bachelor’s level) with 60% aggregate (or CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale) for General and NC-OBC candidates and 55% aggregate (or CGPA of 6.0 on a 10-point scale) for SC/ST and PwD category candidates.

Selection of candidates for admission to MBA at VGSoM, IIT Kharagpur is a two-step process. The applicants are shortlisted based on eligibility criteria and called for an online Personal Interview (PI). Final admission to MBA is offered on the basis of a cumulative score of the Application Rating (AR), performance score in CAT, and the candidate’s performance in the online PI round. Yes, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur offers a BArch programme of five-year duration to students who have qualified JEE Main (paper-II) followed by JEE Advanced. Aspirants qualifying the JEE Advanced exam need to qualify Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) conducted by IIT Kharagpur for admission to the BArch programme followed by JoSAA counselling. In order to apply for BArch at IIT Kharagpur, students are required to apply via JEE Main. The selection of candidates for admission to the MBA programme at VGSoM (IIT Kharagpur) is a two-step procedure. Applicants, who are shortlisted based on the eligibility criteria are called for WAT and online Personal Interview (PI). Lal Bahadur Shastri (LBS) Hall of Residence is the largest hostel in terms of area and facilities. Lal Bahadur Shastri Hall of Residence construction completed in 2010 is a modern state-of-the-art hostel. It is a very spacious hostel and has many blocks in it.
