This is the best college for doing M.Tech CSE.
Placements: The placement and career guidance cell was highly active and continuously progressing. They organized the best placement season. Top recruiting companies were Samsung, Intel, MediaTek, Sandisk, and many more. The highest package offered was 60 LPA, and the average salary was 25 LPA. We were able to sit for placements from the 3rd semester.
Infrastructure: IIT Madras infrastructure was so fascinating and beautiful. Our campus was connected with nature. Many animals like deer, monkey-like animals, and birds freely roamed here, making students feel close to nature. Hostel rooms were clean and well decorated. Food was served hygienically and was delicious.
Faculty: All faculty members were experts in their respective fields. All had PhDs in their subjects. Some of them had more than one doctorate degree. They fully guided students and helped them every time. Their teaching quality was really appreciable. The curriculum of M.Tech CSE mainly focused on HTML, XML, AI, JavaScript, etc.

IIT Madras BS Degree in Data Science and Applications review
Learning Experience: Course content is good and industrial relevant. The website is also user friendly but the lectures are not that good. Exams are quite good and difficult. Overall, this degree is worth the investment of time and money.
Placements: Placements are quite good. Only a few get the opportunity to complete this degree and get placed. Placements are really good as per the online nature of this course. The average package is around 10-12 LPA and the highest is above 40 LPA, as listed (not confirmed).
Faculty: Live sessions on YouTube are quite good and knowledgeable. Lectures uploaded on the portal are quite difficult to understand. Assignments are also good in terms of difficulty level. The course structure is rigorous. The foundation level is not that hard to crack but the difficulty level increases as we move from Foundation to Diploma, then BSc and finally BS.
Course Support: The support experience is good. Doubts can be asked through dedicated emails and discourse ID. Multiple student groups are also created on WhatsApp to interact with other learners.

An instance of online learning: My experience of pursuing an online degree at IIT Madras.
Learning Experience: The course content is rigorous. You have to do assignments every week which sometimes becomes challenging if you are a working professional or doing dual degree. The content they provide through their platform is per the industry standard. They do not compromise with their institute's legacy. This programme build skills that you need today and the industries ask for. The only challenge I have experienced in this programme is for standalone students as they do not get the physical environment of the campus so it impacts their overall growth in terms of non-academic skills.
Placements: They have a dedicated cell for placements and internships. After you complete your one diploma, you become eligible for internship guidance. Placements as expected are for those who complete their degree. Due to the curriculum they have designed and the assessment process, many students are not able to proceed than foundation level so they do not get these internships and obviously no placements.
Faculty: Every week they release lectures which are pre-recorded. We have to watch lectures and then do the activities which every lecture is followed by. One can take at max 4 subjects in each term. It is expected to give around 1.5 hours to each subject daily so that you can complete the weekly lectures and assignments. In a term, 3 examinations are held which are known as quizzes. You have to score more than 40 % in these quizzes to pass the course. The faculty that teaches us is from the premier institutes such as the IITs themselves.
Course Support: There are two ways to get clarification on any issue. One is to write an email to their support team and they reply within time. I have myself got into some troubles and I chose this way to get the solutions on what I should do now. The other way they provide is to raise a ticket about your problem and that is solved as per the system. We have to hardly choose the other way.

Choosing Ocean Engineering at IIT Madras.
Placements: The placement was 100 %, the average placement package is 8 LPA, and the highest is 15 LPA. The college environment is just great, and each is nearby. Every big company comes for recruitment, like Google, Microsoft, and Amazon, but the placement for these companies is a bit competitive. For ocean engineering, the placements are very good. The students have options for both core and non-core jobs.
Infrastructure: The hostels are good, some are old, and some are new. Single room from the second year onwards. In the old hostel, the money problem is there. But the grounds have everything like cricket, volleyball, and badminton. For food, we have 3 meals. Himalaya, Nilgiri, and Vindhyachal. The food is okay in all the mess, not good, not bad.
Faculty: The curriculum for Ocean structure is actually very good, and at the end, the students will have good knowledge of almost every domain related to ocean engineering, ships, and offshore structure. This field is niche and has more demand and less supply, so the job opportunities will be really good.

Good course and placements, but limited interaction. Strong self-motivation is needed to succeed.
Learning Experience: Contents are very good and understandable. I'll it is one of the best contents in India to learn Data Science. For Working Professionals to students everyone can do that. It's structure is designed mainly for Working Professionals. Pros :- We have all the contents to learn . We have Assignments you can practice and submit on weekly basis. We have exams every month so your Consistency will be maintained Cons : - As this is an online Degree lack of Motivation is a very big problem among students. No real time pears support for you .
Placements: The Average Placement offered by our program is 10 LPA . that's very good considering it is an online degree . And the highest package is approx 44 LPA. For Placements you have to register in IIC ( Placement e - cell IIT Madras) . after registering they share you details if they have any openings in companys. According to eligibility you can fill the form. And then after techinal round and Interview round you can get you offer if you do well. Also they share Internships opportunities as well there having same process
Faculty: I'll say Faculties are the best Professors of IIT Madras. Their method of teaching is impressive. The Quality of Lectures they provide you can't find anywhere else. Assignments are from the lectures so you can practice after each time you watch lectures. Course Structure: It is Divided into 12 week of content. Each week 1 Graded Assignments and 4-5 practice assignments. After each 4 week you'll have to give exams so there is 3 exams. Quiz 1 ( Week 1-4 ) , Quiz 2 ( Week 1-8 ) End term ( Final Exam of Each sem Week 1-12 )
Course Support: As a student of IIT Madras if you have any doubts you can mail to them directly on their support help desk. Or directly join on call . Also for each specific courses and student affairs there are different branch of Support team that handles your queries so you don't have to phase any problem

Review of facilities and life at IIT Madras.
Placements: My batch has 154 students, which makes it the second-largest branch on the campus. The highest package offered is 1.31 crores per annum. The top recruiting companies for our course are Google, Microsoft, etc. A lot of other renowned companies around the world also visit the college. The top roles offered are software development engineer, validation engineer, IC design, etc.
Infrastructure: The department building is very spacious with a lot of classrooms and labs. The building is a bit old, so the renovation is being made now. The hostel infrastructure is nice, but there is a bit of a problem with monkeys in one or two of them. The mess food is of nice quality. Food courts are available throughout the day.
Faculty: Faculty members are the best here. Most of them are a part of research teams or carry on their own research. The course curriculum is mostly relevant to what we see in the industries now. Semester exams are manageable. They are neither hard nor easy.
