B.Tech. in Industrial and Production Engineering - Batch of 2029
4.0
Satisfied and worth the money spent.
Placements: About 100 percent of students got placed from the 2024 batch and according to the current placement status in 2026 about 52 to 53 students are placed out of 70 in the current placement session and the session is still running. The highest package offered is 18 LPA by Trident and the lowest is about 6 LPA to 7 LPA, and the average is about 8.5 LPA to 9 LPA. Top recruiters for my course are Trident for core, Accenture for data roles, Flipkart, and Amazon. About 70 to 80 percent of students find internships in companies like Sonalika. Top roles offered are data analyst and supply chain.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities in the college are well maintained like there is a Wi-Fi that covers the entire college, one can sign in using their roll numbers and password as their DOB. It is newly constructed and has fully air-conditioned library and study room. A new lecture theatre is also constructed worth 51 crores. Hostels are divided separately for freshers and seniors to avoid ragging. Hostels are average as they have not been renovated but are well-maintained. Mess service is good according to the money they take. Sports facilities like two basketball courts, one volleyball court, and a gymnasium for badminton are available. A dispensary for medical facilities is available.
Faculty: All the teachers are Ph.D. from IITs or any foreign universities. Teachers are quite knowledgeable and solve the doubts of students. The course curriculum is not very relevant to the skills students need today, like AI, etc. For core the course makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are really tough but students manage to pass them. About 80 percent of students pass the examinations.
Other: I choose this course as, I want the NIT, well known for its brand value and in the Branch like IPE, I can also pursue some teach sort like data analyst etc. And more over its core placements were also good. To make a better curriculum and reduce the 75 percentage attendance criteria to 70 percent and narrowing down the acedamic time table from 10 to 2 not from 8:30 to 5:30 "UTKANSH" the biggest fest that occurs once a year in Feb or March. Scholarships are their based on income criteria and SC, ST and Pwd has lowfee.

The placements are getting better year by year. The college life is also awesome.
Placements: The placement percentage is 100 percent for the eligible students, however, the numbers are not that good. The highest placement package on campus is 18 LPA for the branch Industrial and Production Engineering. The lowest package is 4 LPA, and the average is 8–9 LPA. The top recruiting company is Trident. The top roles that are offered are basically in the research and development department, but one can also excel in other fields by having good knowledge and practice for that particular field.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is awesome, simply mind-blowing. There are no issues regarding the infrastructure of classrooms, library, etc. However, the infrastructure of hostels for first-year students is not that good. The hostels are very basic, they provide one bed and a chair-table for one person and a cupboard/almirah for clothes. The quality of food is decent; the chapattis are very bad to eat, but the other items and menu rotation are good. The canteen of our college is average, not great in taste, however, Domino’s and Nescafe provide great taste and quality of food.
Faculty: The teachers are very qualified and helpful, and their way of teaching is also good. If we exclude some of the faculty members, then we can say that teaching quality is good overall. The curriculum of the course is relevant and makes the student industry-ready. The semester exams are tough; students have to work hard to pass the semester exams with good grades. Otherwise, the copy checking is a bit strict, which doesn’t give easy marks to students.

Dissatisfied with the faculty.
Placements: 100% of the students are placed in my course. The highest package of my course is 18 LPA, the lowest package is about 6 to 8 LPA, and the average package is 8.18 LPA. Top recruiters for my course are Trident, Flipkart and Amazon. About 80 to 90 percent of students got internships from my course in manufacturing companies like Hero Cycles and other manufacturing companies.
Infrastructure: An impressive infrastructure, there are Science blocks and the LTs Lecture Theatre, from which the Akam Lecture Theatre is newly built, worth 51 crores. All the rooms are well furnished and fully AC with all modern equipment like sliding down screens and a digital podium with inbuilt pc. Hostels are also good according to all the facilities, but the infrastructure of hostels is not good enough, need to be renovated. Quality of food served in the mess is above average, not too good, not too average. Medical facilities are good, as there is a dispensary where all the medical facilities are available.
Faculty: All the teachers are highly qualified, all are Ph.D. for various IITs like IIT Bombay and Delhi. But teaching quality is not up to the mark and was average. The course is not relevant, students have to put their own efforts to become industry-ready. Semester exams are really tough in this college, and the pass percentage is about 90 percent.
Other: I chose this course as I was getting into the CSAB counselling. The best thing in course is that I can get both in tech as a data analyst, and also in core industrial management. The faculty should be more encouraging and should know tech skills as well. More events and festivals should be there.

A short review of NIT, Jalandhar.
Placements: The placements in our college are good enough if you want to get placed, and also every branch has a good percentage of students placed in the previous year. My branch had 100 percent placement with a good average and median package with companies like Amazon, etc., visiting the college.
Infrastructure: The campus area is around 154 acres, and the classrooms are also air-conditioned and spacious. All classrooms have projectors, and there are labs with all the machines needed for the subjects. Wi-Fi availability is not good. There are a few spots where you can get Wi-Fi connectivity, but mostly you will have to use your own data.
Faculty: The professors are qualified and have a good knowledge of their subject, and you can also ask them your doubts. In each semester, there is a mid sem exam and an end sem exam, along with 2-3 quizzes and assignments for internal marks. Exam questions are moderately tough. Checking depends on the teacher, but most teachers will give you good marks if you attempt all the questions.

NIT, Jalandhar, is an Institute of national importance.
Placements: 100% placements for industrial and production engineering students at NIT, Jalandhar, with the highest CTC of around 18 LPA. The top recruiters are Trident and Eil. Almost all students get internship who are eligible for that. Top roles include Engineering Drawing CAD, Designing, project management, etc.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi connection is provided to all the students, and the connectivity in the classroom and labs is decent. The quality of food is good, and the medical facility is brilliant here. Near the Bank inside the campus, we have a dispensary where the workers' behavior is really good. We have a badminton court, basketball, and many more clubs too.
Faculty: The professors at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology (NIT), Jalandhar, are really good. They all maintain a great connection with the students, and they want to help the students in every aspect possible. They teach well and impart technology in their teaching.
Other: Industrial and Production Engineering (IPE) is a kind of hybrid branch of mechanical and management courses. While choosing IPE, I felt industry is a all time necessity, and there will always be a scope of industrial engineering in the future.

Satisfied with the college, good placements which are increasing, and facilities are top-notch.
Placements: I am from industrial and production engineering. The placement states are increasing year by year. Talking about this year, the highest package in the branch is 50 LPA. It is offered by a core company. Core branch students can also go in tech placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. The college keeps on developing. Classrooms have a jammer so that students can focus on their studies. The hostel is good. The mess food sometimes is not so good but overall it is good. Sports facilities are also available. For almost every sport, there is a ground present on campus.
Faculty: Teachers have good knowledge of the subject. They solve doubts in the tutorials or classes. Semester exams are of good level and focus more on practical knowledge. There is a minimum criteria of 40 overall marks and 15 marks at the end semester to pass the subject.
Other: There are a lot of events held every month which are very interesting. Overall, if you come to college, you will enjoy your college life and learn new things.

Living the life of dreams at NITJ.
Placements: Placement at NIT Jalandhar is very impressive. I'm not sure about other branches, but in my branch, last year's placement was very good. The highest salary package for my branch (Industrial and Production Engineering) offered is 18 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 8 LPA. The highest salary package for my college offered is 52 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 14 LPA.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of hostel for first year is not so good because of small rooms, but in these small rooms, we are making big memories. Mess facilities are not bad, not good; I say it is average. As my course is Industrial and Production Engineering, in India the scope for this branch is low, but but it has high scope abroad.
Faculty: Faculty members of NIT Jalandhar are very good and supportive. Students can visit them anytime for their doubts. They always tell us about further opportunities which will help us grow and upskill ourselves. There are lots of exams in NIT Jalandhar. It was only one month to mid-sem, and end-sem exams are standing in front of us.
Other: Crowd and campus life of NIT Jalandhar is awesome. Fests are just fabulous, and for your kind information, I want to tell students that the upcoming event of our college, Utkansh is the biggest fest in North India among all colleges.

NIT Jalandhar: Placement and Infrastructure
Placements: In the Industrial and Production Engineering branch, placement has been good for the last three years, with an approximate rate of 95%. The median package for IPE is 7.5 LPA, the average package is 8.38 LPA, and the highest package is 18.87 LPA. Overall, the college's highest package is 52 LPA, and the average package is 9.48 LPA.
Infrastructure: NIT Jalandhar has good infrastructure with well-developed labs and classrooms. There are three hostels for first-year students: BH1, BH2, and BH5. BH1 and BH2 are better than BH5 because the food and facilities are much better in BH1 and BH2, but BH1 and BH2 are four-seater, while BH5 is a two-seater.
Faculty: Some teachers are very helpful, while others come to class only for course completion. In the first year, you get a mentor who helps you in any kind of situation. The first year can be quite tough due to a lack of time. Seniors are friendly and help with both academic and non-academic problems.
Other: There are many clubs, and every student gets assigned to one club in the first and second semesters. Many events happen here, such as Tech Niti and Utkansh.
