The NEF Law College will release the syllabus for the NLET 2026 exam on its official website. The NEF Law Entrance Exam syllabus will be published section-wise and will include the subjects from which questions will be asked in the NLET 2026 Exam. There will be five sections. You must follow the official syllabus when preparing for each of these sections. Also, along with the syllabus, you must also check the NLET Pattern.

NLET 2026 Syllabus

The NLET 2026 syllabus tells what subjects you need to study for the exam. It checks your reading, thinking, and general knowledge skills. The topics mostly stay same each year, only small changes happen sometimes.

For BA LLB (Hons.) Course:

  • English Language: You should know grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, sentence correction, antonyms and synonyms.
  • General Knowledge & Current Affairs: Covers news, history, geography, sports, awards, and important events from India and world.
  • Legal Aptitude: Basic law ideas, Indian Constitution, legal reasoning, legal words, and some landmark cases.
  • Logical Reasoning: Questions on puzzles, series, coding-decoding, analogies, and patterns.
  • Quantitative Techniques: Simple maths like percentages, averages, profit and loss, ratios, and equations.

For LLM Course:

  • Constitutional Law
  • Jurisprudence
  • Law of Contracts
  • Law of Crimes
  • Public International Law
  • Administrative Law
  • Law of Torts
  • Family Law
  • Company Law

  Syllabus
English including Comprehension This section aims at judging the written communication skills of candidates. Questions will be mainly based on topics such as synonyms, antonyms, comprehension, vocabulary, fill in the blanks etc. 
General Knowledge & Current Affairs This section aims at judging the awareness of candidates about general life, science, politics, etc.
Elementary Mathematics This section will include Mathematics questions from Class10th or 12th 
Legal Aptitude/ Awareness This section aims at judging the legal awareness of candidates. It will include questions on topics such as constitutional law, intellectual property rights, international law, etc.
Logical Reasoning This section aims at testing the logical reasoning skills of candidates. It will include questions on topics such as series, blood relations, syllogism, analogy, etc.
