Very satisfied with the college and the branch.

Placements: I'm a student of the Robotics and AI branch, and this branch is new. RIT Kottayam is the only government college having this course. The first batch started in 2022, so we don't know what will happen during placements yet. But the placement cell is very active, and as this is an interdisciplinary course, we get the opportunity to attend placements offered by many companies like TCS, IBM, etc.

Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is very good, but our branch and the ECE branch share the same department as the two branches are almost the same. Although, we do have a dedicated Robotics and AI lab. There are separate labs for everything, and yes, the department has Wi-Fi. We have a library, and there are lots of books, with a separate section for each department. Hostels are very neat, and we have 3 ladies' hostels and 2 men's hostels, which provide very good quality food. Hostels also provide Wi-Fi. Sports and games are the best part of RIT; we have teams for literally every single sport.

Faculty: Professors are well-qualified, with most of them having PhDs, and most of them are IIT pass-outs. The teaching quality is very good, and they are very helpful during theory and lab hours. The course curriculum is outdated, but that is the problem of the university. However, speaking for my branch, Robotics and AI, we are new people, and our curriculum is relevant and sets the stepping stone to be industry-ready.

Other: If you join this college, you'll have the best campus life. There are a lot of events happening literally all the time. Ritu is the tech fest for RIT, and it is huge. It's an event where we can connect, grow, and have fun. It's like the biggest event in the district. We also have Keli, the cultural fest, where we get to showcase the artistic side of students. Our college has lots of other events as well. The college will always be full of energy, and there are lots of places to hang out with friends on campus.

Review of Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Kerala.

Placements: This college does not offer placement with better companies. The companies that come here are just above average. But majority gets placed somewhere. The average package ranges from 4 LPA to 8 LPA. We should train ourselves through internship programs outside the campus. We could get jobs in IT companies, laptop industry, Google, Microsoft, electronics companies, robotics companies, etc.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is above average. The building and all are old. We have Wi-Fi facility throughout the college including government hostels. The labs offer is used by the whole department, and we should form a group in lab session (1 system for 3-4 people). The hostel is very underrated for the price. Hostel is very friendly (money and freedom).

Faculty: Teachers are very qualified and knowledgeable. But some teachers don't put effort to cover the syllabus. Sometimes they won't even come to class but it is not applicable to whole teachers some are really gems. The 2024 curriculum is better than 2019 curriculum. The semester exams are held by KTU University. The papers are so good but they won't address mark to the most of students.
