There are so many colleges that accept UCEED and CEED scores. These institutes accept the UCEED and CEED scores for granting admission to B.Des and M.Des programmes at IITs and other result-sharing institutes. Check the list below.
UCEED and CEED College List
There are two kinds of colleges which accept UCEED and CEED scores. The first one is UCEED and CEED Participating Institutes and the other one is UCEED and CEED Result-Sharing Institutes. The participating institutes offer B.Des courses and have an intake of 245 seats. Admission to the B.Des course is strictly based on UCEED 2026 merit ranks.
UCEED - CEED Participating Institutes participate in the Joint counselling conducted by IIT Bombay. UCEED - CEED Result sharing Institutes will allot some seats in their undergraduate and graduate programmes for admission through UCEED and CEED. They will not be part of the Joint Admission Process conducted by IIT Bombay.

The list of institutes at IITs through UCEED 2026 is given below. There are 7 UCEED Participating Colleges. They use UCEED Scores to allot seats to B.Des programme at IITs.

It is possible to prepare for CEED without coaching. But before you start on exam preparation on your own, you need the conviction that you can do it. If you are not convinced yourself and only decide to forgo coaching on the advice of others, the journey may be difficult.
If you prepare for the exam on your own, you need to be serious and plan the preparation smartly. Go through the syllabus. You must be able to decide the difficulty level, the time it will take to cover the syllabus, and revise.
The CEED 2026 exam was held on Jan 18, 2026. So, aspiring candidates can start preparing for the exam.
- Focus on the following resources to prepare for CEED:
- Make sure that you get the best books to prepare the CEED.
- If the study material is good, they will contain few to no errors, will cover the entire syllabus, contain practice problems, etc.
- Solve sample and previous year’s question and sample papers
- Take mock tests.
- When studying make it a point to take notes. These notes will help you jot down all the important points.
- Do timely revision.
The seat allotment to UCEED 2026 participating colleges will be through the Joint Admission Process conducted by IIT Bombay. Note that only such candidates who have been allocated a merit rank in UCEED 2026 are eligible to participate in the seat allotment process. The allotment of seats will be on the basis of merit rank of the candidate in UCEED 2026 and college option opted at the time of counseling registration. Also, to be included in the UCEED 2026 merit list, the candidate needs to have qualified Part A. Note that Part B answer booklets will be evaluated if the candidate qualifies Part A.
The result-sharing institutes of UCEED 2026 will offer admission to some of their B. Des seats based on UCEED 2026 scores. However, they will not participate in the Joint Admission Process conducted by IIT Bombay. There were 42 result-sharing institutes for UCEED 2026. Since the participating institutes do not participate in the joint counseling conducted by IIT Bombay, the candidate needs to apply to them separately. Note that the participating institutes will also accept scores of other top exams like NIFT and NID to offer admission to their design courses.

Commonly asked questions
The counseling process for UCEED 2026 will be conducted by IIT Bombay as a Joint Seat Allocation process.
To participate in UCEED 2026 counseling, the candidate must have qualfied in the UCEED 2026 entrance exam and been allocated a merit rank.
This means, if the candidate has failed to qualify Part A exam, he or she will not be allocated a merit rank, and therefore are not eligible to take part in the counseling process.
Admission to the B. Des programme at UCEED 2026 participating colleges will be on the basis of UCEED 2026 merit rank. So, candidates with a higher rank will get preference in the seat allotment process. The admission committee will also consider the college option opted by the candidate and their order of priority. Note that to get a merit rank in UCEED 2026, candidates must have qualified Part A. In case the candidate fails to qualify Part A, his or her Part B answer booklet will not be evaluated.

CEED Result-Sharing Institutes 2026
There are 14 CEED Result Sharing Institutes. The difference between CEED 2026 result-sharing colleges and participating colleges is that the result-sharing institutes will also use scores of other entrance exams to fill some of their M.Des seats. How to get admission to IITs after CEED Result?
- Candidates who have qualified CEED 2026 Exam should submit an Application form in the participating college.
- Candidates will be shortlisted for the next round by the institute. The next round will be an online interview.
- Submit the portfolio and appear for the online interview.
- Result will be declared for the selected students who have cleared the interview, and they will be asked to submit the fee and complete the formalities
