CEED Result Sharing Institutes 2026 (List OUT): Category-wise Seat Intake, Eligibility, Admission, Fees

The CEED 2026 participating institutes will open the application form for counseling on their respective official admission portals. The step-wise admission process to the M.Desprogrammeis given below:

1. The candidate needs to check CEED 2026 results.

2. Candidates who have qualified CEED 2026 exam, or have been assigned a merit rank are eligible to apply to CEED participating institute.

3. The participating institutes will start the counseling application form soon after CEED 2026 results are declared.

4. The candidate who have qualified CEED 2026 exam and also meets the eligibility criteria prescribed by the participating institute need to fill in the application form before the last date.

5. The participating institute will shortlist applications based on the merit rank of the candidate.

6. The instutite may also conduct further admission rounds before final seat allotment.

IIT Bombay declares the names of the CEED participating institutes at the time of the release of the admission notification or sometime thereabout. Also, the number of participating instittutes may change from one year to another. So, we can’t say that the number of participating institutes is fixed.

In fact, IIT Bomaby in consultation with the member institutes decides the list of participating institutes. Note that the IIT Bombay conducts a Joint Seat Allotment Process for the participating institutes. Also, participating institutes can only use CEED scores for admission purposes.

Candidates should read the information brochure before filling the application form. CEED Brochure would have information about eligibility criteria, documents required, application fee structure, and case certificate. It may be noted that only such candidates who have been assigned a merit rank in CEED 2026 may apply for admission.

There are eight participating institutes of CEED 2026 that offer the M.Des program. Admission to theprogram will be on the basis of CEED 2026 merit rank.

Candidates who have been assigned a merit rank in CEED 2026 need to apply directly to the participating institute. Counseling registration will commence soon after CEED 2026 results are declared.

IIT Bombay conducted CEED 2026 exam on January 18, 2026 from 9 AM to 12 PM. It was conducted at 27 centres. Candidates had to report at 7 AM with admit card and ID proof.

No, each institute has its own admission process, even though they accept CEED scores. Generally, CEED admission process includes

• Shortlisting of candidates based on CEED scores
• Institute-specific written tests or assignments (varies by institute)
• Personal Interview (PI) or portfolio review
• Final selection based on overall performance

Candidates should check the official website of each institute for specific details.

The participating institutes of CEED 2026 will offer admission to the M.Des courses based on CEED 2026 scores only. They will not accept scores of other entrance exams for admission process. Also, IIT Bombay will conduct a Joint Seat Allotment Process or Counseling for the participating institutes.

On the other hand, result-sharing institutes will not participate in the Joint Seat Allotment Process. Instead, these institutes will conduct counseling at an institute-level. This means, the candidate has to apply directly to these institutes based on their CEED 2026 scores. Another thing is result-sharing institutes will allocate only a fraction of the seats for CEED 2026 qualified candidates. The remaining seats will be filled by considering scores of other entrance exams.

IIT Bombay will not conduct any Joint Seat Allotment process for CEED 2026 qualified candidates. Instead, the candidate will have to apply directly to any or all of the eight participating institutes for admission. Note that IIT Bombay conducts a Joint Seat Allotment process for UCEED.

To get admission to a CEED 2026 participating institute, the candidate needs to go to the admission portal of the institute and fill in the counseling registration form. The registration form will open soon after the CEED 2026 results are declared.

Note that the participating institutes may conduct further admission rounds, like interview, before publishing the merit list for admission.

CEED 2026 applications were open from October 1, 2025. The application had to be filled online at ceed.iitb.ac.in.

The candidate could apply with both regular and late fees.

All the details pertaining to the CEED 2026 application form have been updated on the admission portals, including the information brochure. The candidate needs to carefully go through the brochure to check their eligibility. Note that information entered by the candidate at the time of submitting their application form will be verified at the time of counseling. Any candidate who doesn’t meet the criteria will be disqualified.

The number of CEED result-sharing institutes is not constant. In fact, every year there is a different set of institutes that make the list of CEED result-sharing institutes. Note that the names of the CEED 2026 result-sharing institute will be announced on the admission portal - ceed.iitb.ac.in. 

Also, an institute can member a result-sharing institute at various stages of the CEED 2026 exam and admission process. For instance, some institute decide to become a result-sharing institute even before CEED exam is conducted, whereas there are others that only become result-shairng institutes after CEED results are declared.

CEED 2026 counseling registration form will open soon after the CEED 2026 results are announced. Eligible candidates will have to go to the admission portal of the institute and fill in the application form. The participating institute will then shortlist applications based on the merit rank of the candidate in the CEED 2026 exam.

In addition to participating institutes, there are also CEED result-sharing institutes.

Result-sharing institutes will fill up some of the UG seats based on CEED scores. However, they may also consider scores of other top ecams to fill in rest of the seats.

These institutes not consider scores of other entrance exams, like NIFT and NID DAT, for admission purposes. The list of CEED 2026 participating institutes will be published on the admission portal - ceed.iitb.ac.in.

The online application form for admission to CEED participating institutes will open tentatively in the last week of September 2024. Note that unlike UCEED 2026, IIT Bombay will not conduct any Joint Seat Allotment process for CEED 2026.

Such candidates who qualify CEED 2026 will have to apply directly to a participating college.
