DEED Counseling 2026 - The DJ Academy of Design, Coimbatore, will conduct the counseling process for DEED 2026 soon after the results are declared.
The institute will release the counseling schedule on its admission portal. Candidates who have qualified in the DEED 2026 exam can participate in the counselling process. The candidate can check their qualifying status in the DEED 2026 results. DEED 2026 counselling will be conducted online. The counseling process will include the release of a shortlist that will include the names of candidates selected for admission. Candidates who are included in the shortlist will have to pay the seat-acceptance fee and confirm their admission. At the time of counseling, shortlisted candidates have to bring their documents in original and get them verified. The allotment of seats will be based on the DEED 2026 merit rank of the candidate.

Release of DEED Merit List 2026
The merit list-cum-seat allotment of DEED 2026 will be done based on the performance of the candidate in the written exam and personal interview. The merit list will be released online at the admission portal of the institute and can be downloaded by entering log-in credentials.
Candidates who are included in the merit list will have to pay the admission fee within the given deadline and confirm their seats. If the payment is not made, the allotment will be canceled and allocated to the candidate next in the order of merit. Candidates will receive an email regarding the counselling and interview at the registered mobile number.

How to Check DEED Merit List 2026
To view the merit list, follow the steps given below
- Go to the website - https://djad.in/
- Click on the 'PI result' tab.
- Fill in your login credentials, EMAIL ID and Password
- The list will be displayed
- You can now check if you have been shortlisted or not
The merit list of provisionally selected candidates will include information such as the candidate's name and roll number, category, and program name. Shortlisted candidates must confirm their acceptance by paying the appropriate amount within the deadline. Candidates who fail to pay the admission fee by the deadline risk losing their admission claim.
DJ Academy of Design conducts DEED counseling to provide admission to candidates in Design courses offered at its Coimbatore campus. Courses offered at the DJAD campus include BDes and MDes courses in Industrial Design (IND) and Communication Design (CND) streams. The merit list is prepared by DJAD authorities based on candidates' performance in the online interview as well as marks obtained in class 12 for the B.Des and Undergraduate course for M.Des.

Candidates will be given admission in BDes and MDes courses on the basis of:

Eligibility Criteria for DEED Admission
For UG
- Candidates must have completed Class 12th or its equivalent from any stream, recognized by State Boards or Central Boards (such as CBSE, ICSE, etc.), with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks.
- Or candidates who have completed a three-year Diploma with 50% aggregate marks (after 10th Std) from any stream, from an institution recognized by AICTE/State Govt., are also eligible.
- Candidate’s age should not exceed 22 years as of 31st July in the year of application.
For PG
- Must have an undergraduate degree of a minimum 3 years duration in any specialization with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
- Or Must have a full-time diploma of minimum 4 years duration in Design / Fine Arts / Applied Arts / Architecture with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks, following from any university or institute recognized by law in India.
- Candidate must have passed, appeared for, or be appearing for the Diploma examinations before July of the year of admission.
- Candidate should be more than 20 years of age and less than or equal to 25 years of age as of 31st July of the year of applying.
