VITEEE is a national-level engineering entrance exam conducted by Vellore Institute of Technology. The exam is held to offer admission to BTech programs at four VIT Campuses in India (Vellore/Chennai/AP and Bhopal). Admissions are done solely based on VITEEE scores. To appear for VIT 2027 Entrance Exam, students must meet eligibility criteria as prescribed by university. Based on eligibility, VIT accepts the application form of the applicants. Apart from 60% PCM /PCB aggregate, students need to score at least 50% marks in Mathematics/ Biology. VIT does not offer any reservation criteria for category applicants.

VIT Exam Eligibility Criteria 2027

Meeting VITEEE eligibility criteria 2027 is essential. The VIT eligibility criteria include educational qualification, minimum passing marks, nationality, age and attempt limit, etc. Candidates who wish to apply for VITEEE 2027 can check details below:

• Candidates must have completed their 10+2 exam

• Final year students can also apply for VIT 2027 entrance exam

• Candidate’s date of birth must fall on or after July 1, 2005

• PCM/PCB aggregate is 60% for the general category and 50% for the reserved category

• In addition, the applicants must have secured 50% or more in Maths or Biology along with PCM aggregate marks

VITEEE Registration Fee 2027

Application for VIT entrance exam will only be accepted if fee amount is paid successfully. Candidates can check the VIT application fee (as per last year) below. The VITEEE 2027 official notification will comprise the updated fee. The registration fee is non-refundable and is same for all categories. 

How to pay VIT Exam Fees 2027

Candidates can pay the VITEEE application fee through any of the following payment modes: debit card/debit card/netbanking/UPI or wallet. The payment must be done carefully after completing the registration process. Only candidates who have paid their registration fees can select test cities and upload documents for VIT University exam. 

How to fill VITEEE Application Form 2027

Students must note that the application form has to be filled online. VIT University will activate the VIT registration 2027 link on the portal. Candidates have to create an account to generate login credentials. Also, they must keep all the documents required for VITEEE registration. • Visit official website of VIT entrance exam

• Go to "New Candidate Registration"

• Provide details, such as name, date of birth, mobile number, email ID and submit
• The login credentials will be sent to to the email ID

• Now log in using application number and password 

• Fill personal, educational qualification, and test centre details

• Upload a recent passport-size photo and scanned signature

• Pay application fee via credit/debit or netbanking

• Submit form and check VIT application status

NOTE: Candidates can select only one VITEEE exam centre while filling the application form. The documents must be uploaded as per the specifications. VITEEE Syllabus 2027

The syllabus of VIT entrance exam 2027 is broadly divided into five major sections: Maths/Biology, Physics, Chemistry, English and Aptitude. Students can check the important topics for each section. The topics have maximum weightage.

VITEEE 2027 Preparation Tips

To score well in VIT entrance exam, be clear with concepts and keep a note of formulas for quick revision. Solve questions from NCERT and other different sources. Pay close attention to numerical-based questions. Students can check section-wise preparation tips for VITEEE 2027 below -

VITEEE Mock Test

Vellore Institute of Technology will release VITEEE mock test on its official website after the completion of registration process. The mock test will guide an idea of the paper pattern and difficulty level. The mock test/demo test can be taken for free. With the help of VIT mock test, students can analyse their preparation and improve their accuracy and time management skills. Candidates can also take the VITEEE mock test by Shiksha for practice and analyse their preparation.

VITEEE admit card is mainly an official document that is issued to students who have registered for the VIT entrance exam 2027. The admit card for VITEEE 2027 is generated 48 hours before the allocated exam date. Candidates will be notified on their registered email ID. However, to receive admit card, slot booking is mandatory. The admit card will be made available on the VIT OTBS portal until the exam day. 

Steps to Download VITEEE 2027 Admit Card

• Click on the admit card link

• Enter application number and password

• Download and save the admit card

Note: To get admit card, it is mandatory to do VITEEE slot booking, where students will get the chance to select their exam date and time. The slot booking window remains active for two to three days only. VIT will notify students on their registered email ID. 

Students must note that VIT University do not release or upload official question paper or answer key. However, students can download free VITEEE sample papers for practice. How to solve VITEEE Sample Papers

To solve VIT sample papers, candidates are advised to simulate real exam conditions by timing themselves for 150 minutes to complete 125 questions. Here's a quick guide on how to approach VITEEE mock test:

• Set Real Exam Timer
• Follow section order wisely (go through all questions first) and attempt those questions that you find easier to solve
• Manage time wisely: For example, dedicate 5 minutes for English and Aptitude, 40 to 50 minutes for Chemistry and Physics, and 60 minutes for the Maths section
• Keep 15 to 20 minutes for reviewing questions
• Maintain a mistake journal and note down the topics you lack, conceptual gaps, and calculation errors. Re-attempt those questions frequently. 
• Track your performance and check where improvements are needed

The VIT University will announce VITEEE 2027 result on the official website. The expected release date is first week of May 2027. Candidates who have appeared for the VIT entrance exam can check their result at vit.ac.in. The result will be made available at VITEEE login 2027 in the form of a rank card. Qualified candidates can get admission to VIT Vellore/Chennai/AP/Bhopal campuses based on their obtained rank. Once the result is declared, the authorities also update the VIT counselling dates. The counselling is done in phases online for each rank-category.

The VITEEE cutoff 2027 is the minimum qualifying rank required to be eligible for counselling. VIT University releases cutoffs in form of categories, which are parallel with tuition fees. Candidates securing VIT rank under 500 are eligible for VITEEE scholarships.

What are categories in VIT Exam?

In VIT exam, category refers to a five-tier tuition fee system based on obtained rank. The rank determines category in VITEEE counselling. Category 1 has the lowest admission fees, and category 5 have highest tuition fees. 

• Category 1 - 1 to 20000
• Category 2 - 20001 to 45000
• Category 3 - 45001 to 70000
• Category 4 -  70000 to 1,00,000
• Category 5 - for ranks above 1 lakh
