How to Fix Discrepancies in NIFT 2026 Admit Card?
To fix any of the above or similar discrepancies in the NIFT admit card 2026, follow these steps:
- Keep your application number ready.
- Call the NIFT NTA helpline number from 9.30 am - 5.30 pm (Monday to Friday). You may also email the help desk.
- When writing the mail, don’t forget to mention your application number while explaining your issue clearly and logically.
- The NTA help desk will verify your details and take the required corrective measures.
- NTA will not issue any fresh admit cards, so you may have to appear in the exam with the same admit card.

Items allowed inside the NIFT 2026 exam center
The following items are allowed (required) inside the NIFT 2026 exam center:
- A personal transparent water bottle
- A simple transparent ballpoint pen, pencil, eraser, and ruler. The items must be carried in a transparent pouch.
- A-4 Transparent Acrylic board
- A printout of the NIFT 2026 admit card taken on A4-sized paper and duly filled in.

NIFT 2026 Exam-day Guidelines
On NIFT exam day, you need to follow these guidelines:
- Document checklist: The candidate has to carry their NIFT 2026 admit card and a valid photo ID proof. Don't forget to attach a passport-size photograph to the admit card.
- What if I don't carry the documents? The candidate who doesn't carry the mandatory documents cannot take the exam. So, the candidate must check the list of mandatory documents and bring them to the exam center.
- Left-hand thumb impression must be put in the designated space on the admit card.
- Reporting time: Report at the NIFT exam center at least half an hour before the commencement of the exam.
- Items to carry: Carry your own stationery items that will be needed for the written test.
- Photograph: Also, carry two additional photographs (same as the one uploaded on the online application form). The photographs have to be pasted on the admit card. Note that the NIFT 2026 exam will be conducted in a center-based mode.
- Blank paper sheets will be provided to the candidate inside the exam hall for calculations and writing work. You need to write your name and roll number at the top of each sheet. After the exam, drop the sheet in the designated Dropbox. If you don't drop the sheet in the box, your answer booklet may not be evaluated.
- You can carry a transparent water bottle to the exam hall. Diabetic students are, additionally, allowed to carry eatables like sugar tablets/fruits (like bananas/apples/oranges). But note that packaged foods like chocolate, candy, sandwiches, etc., are not allowed.
- Stationery: The candidate is allowed to carry a simple transparent ballpoint pen, pencils, erasers, and rulers (in a transparent pouch).
- CAT Applicants are allowed to carry coloring and drawing material in a transparent pencil box. Also, physical question booklets with space for responses will be provided to the CAT applicant inside the exam hall.
- Frisking: Proper frisking will be done at the exam center. So, make sure you are not carrying any electronic gadgets or prohibited items.

The candidate is NOT allowed to carry instruments, handbag, purse, any kind of paper / textual material (printed or written material), eatables (loose or packed), electronic gadgets (mobile phone, earphone, microphone, pager, calculator, camera, tape recorder, electronic watches, etc), Docu Pen, Slide Rules, Log Tables, with facilities of calculator, or any metallic item in the examination hall/room.
Smoking, chewing gutka, spitting, etc., are also strictly prohibited inside the exam hall.

Separate Admit cards for Situation Test/Personal Interview
The 2nd stage of the NIFT 2026 admission process includes the Situation Test/ Personal Interview. Candidates will be shortlisted for the 2nd stage based on their performance in the NIFT 2026 written exams. Separate admit cards will be released for the NIFT 2026 Situation Test/Personal Interview. The candidate will have to download the admit card using their email ID and password. The National Institute of Fashion Technology is expected to conduct the Situation Test for NIFT 2026 in the last week of May 2026.
Venue for the Situation Test and Mode
The Situation Test will be conducted at various NIFT campuses. The mode of the test will be offline. Shortlisted candidates will have to select the campus of their choice within the given window. The allotment of campuses will be done on a first-come, first-served basis. The timings of the exams will be mentioned on the NIFT 2026 admit card for the Situation Test/ Personal Interview. NTA will release the City Intimation Slip for Stage 2 examination before releasing the admit card.
