I have failed to meet NIFT 2026 cut-off in previous rounds. Will I get admission?

NIFT 2026 counseling process will be conducted online and will have multiple rounds. In the previous edition of the exam, three regular rounds, followed by a SPOT round, of seat allotment were conducted. If you meet the cut-off in any of these rounds, you will be considered for admission in that round. However, if you fail to meet the cut-off criteria, you may be considered for admission in the subsequent rounds provided you meet the cut-off for that round. Or, else you will have to wait for the SPOT round, where seats will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Vacant seats after completion of the regular rounds will be offered in the SPOT round.

I belong to the SC category? Will I be considered for NIFT admission under open category?

Yes, candidates belonging to the SC, and other reserved categories will be considered for admission under both the respective and open categories. NIFT Cutoff 2026 - The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) releases cutoffs for all Seat Allotment Rounds for all the programmes and categories. There will be approximately three counselling rounds and one spot counselling for UG and PG programmes for NIFT Entrance Exam. The NIFT Topper list will also be released. Last year, NIFT released cut-offs for three regular and one SPOT seat allotment rounds as part of NIFT counselling.

NIFT Expected Cutoff 2026: Ranks & Admission Chances Across Top NIFT Campuses

NIFT cutoffs for Round 1, Round 2 and Round 3 for UG and PG Programmes will be released on the website: nift.admissions.nic. NIFT cut-offs are different for every campus. Candidates who meet the NIFT cut-off for a particular round are offered admission.
