NIFT City Intimation Slip is released by the NTA before the Admit card. Candidates can download the intimation slip using their application number and date of birth. The city intimation slip will inform candidates about the exam city allocated to them. However, it will not contain the name of the specific exam center allocated to the candidate. This information will be provided in the NIFT admit card 2026.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the city intimation slip for NIFTEE Stage 1 on January 29, 2026. The intimation slip was released online at - exams.nta.nic.in/niftee. The direct link to download the NIFT city intimation slip is provided below. To download the slip, enter your application number and date of birth. It is released for all candidates who duly fill out the NIFT 2026 application form.
The intimation slip will contain the name of the exam city allocated to the candidate. Note that requests for a change in the NIFT 2026 exam city will not be entertained. The NIFT 2026 Admit Cards have been released now, on February 04, 2026. NTA is to conduct the NIFT written exams on February 08, 2026.

Students should keep in mind that this is not the Admit Card. The City Intimation Slip only informs candidates about the city where their Stage 2 examination will be conducted to help them plan travel in advance.
Commonly asked questions
NIFT Situation Test will be conducted in an offline mode at the various NIFT campuses. Considering there are 19 NIFTs, the candidate will be able to select any of these institutes to appear in the Situation Test. The window to select test centres for the Situation Test will be announced soon after the declaration of NIFT results for the written exam. Test centres for the Situation Test will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. So, candidates need to book their slots as soon as possible. Note that if seats in a particular centre (or institute) fill out, the candidate will not be able to be offered slots for that institute.
Slot booking process for the NIFT Situation Test 2026 will be held a few weeks before the Situation Test. Slot booking process will be held online and will be open for candidates who have qualified in NIFT written exams. As part of the slot booking process, candidate needs to book their date and time slots for Situation Test. Note that slots will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. The details of the slot allocated to the candidate, exam centre, and other key details will be mentioned on the admit card.
The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) will release the seat allotment of NIFT 2026 for Round I around the 3rd week of June 2026.
The seat allotment will be based on the merit rank of candidates and the academic option picked at the time of counseling registration. Note that NIFT 2026 counseling will be conducted in four regular and one spot rounds. The admission fee amount for regular seats at all campuses is INR 1,83,000..

- Click on the download link
- In the log-in window that opens, enter your application number and date of birth
- The City Intimation slip: Stage 1 will be displayed on the screen

- The NIFT 2026 exam city slip will contain details like the name of the city allotted to the candidate and the exam date.

Why does NTA release NIFT city Intimation Slip?
Some candidates may be wondering whether the admit card will be released alongside the city intimation slip. The admit card for NIFT 2026 will be released after the intimation slip. Importantly, the candidate needs the admit card to take the NIFT 2026 exam. The intimation slip can't be used as an entry pass. This is because the intimation slip merely lets the candidate know about the exam city they have been allocated.
On the other hand, the NIFT 2026 admit card will contain details like the name and address of the NIFT 2026 exam center allocated to the candidate, roll number, exam date and timings, and exam-day guidelines. This information will not be available on the NIFT city intimation slip.
NIFT Admit card 2026 (OUT)
NIFT Admit Card is out now. City Intimation slip should not be confused with NIFT 2026 Admit card. Admit card is on February 04, 2026. It is released on the website of NTA NIFT. The dates of the NIFT Hall Tciket is not released yet. It is mandatory to take admit card to the centre.
