NIFT City Intimation Slip is released by the NTA before the Admit card. Candidates can download the intimation slip using their application number and date of birth. The city intimation slip will inform candidates about the exam city allocated to them. However, it will not contain the name of the specific exam center allocated to the candidate. This information will be provided in the NIFT admit card 2027.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) releases the city intimation slip for NIFTEE Stage 1 and 2. The intimation slip is released online at - exams.nta.nic.in/niftee. The direct link to download the NIFT city intimation slip for Situation Test will be provided below. To download the slip, enter your application number and date of birth. The city intimation slip is released 10-15 days before the entrance exam. After this, NTA releases the NIFT Admit card for the NIFT Entrance Exam.
The intimation slip will contain the name of the exam city allocated to the candidate. Requests for a change in the NIFT 2027 exam city will not be entertained. NIFT City Intimation Slip for the Stage 2 Examination of NIFTEE 2027 is for shortlisted candidates applying to various Undergraduate programmes offered by the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFTs). Students should keep in mind that this is not the Admit Card. The City Intimation Slip only informs candidates about the city where their Stage 2 examination will be conducted to help them plan travel.

Process to Download NIFT 2027 City Intimation Slip
The NIFTEE intimation slip will be released online at the NTA website. To download the exam city slip, follow these steps
- Go to the NIFT NTA website.
- If the NIFT 2027 Advance City Intimation Slip, the download link will be activated
- Click on the download link
- In the log-in window that opens, enter your application number and date of birth
- The City Intimation slip: Stage 1/ Stage 2 will be displayed on the screen
- Download and take a printout
- The NIFT 2027 exam city slip will contain details like the name of the city allotted to the candidate and the exam date.

Slot booking process for the NIFT Situation Test will be held a few weeks before the Situation Test. Slot booking process will be held online and will be open for candidates who have qualified in the NIFT written exams. As part of the slot booking process, candidates need to book their date and time slots for Situation Test.
Candidates will be provided with the items for making the model during the NIFT Situation Test. Materials that students may be provided with are Glaze Papers, Plasticine Clay, Copper Wire, Ivory Sheets, Cardboard, Thermocol (thick And Thin), Kite Papers, Handmade Sheet, Coloured Clay, Cellophane, Fabric, Thread, Ribbon, Straw, Aluminum Foil, etc. The candidate can not use any other items except the ones provided in the exam hall.
NIFT situation test will test candidate on Colour scheme, Space visualization, Construction skill, Finesse of the model, Composition of elements, Overall presentation, Innovative and creative use of given material, etc. Situation Test will be evaluated on the spot.
Model made by candidate will not be kept for future reference. Candidate must make sure that their model is unique and stands out from the crowd. After making model, candidate must write about the model- write-up explaining the model.

Why does NTA release NIFT city Intimation Slip?
Some candidates may be wondering whether the admit card will be released alongside the city intimation slip. The admit card for NIFT 2027 will be released after the intimation slip. Importantly, the candidate needs the admit card to take the NIFT 2027 exam. The intimation slip can't be used as an entry pass. This is because the intimation slip merely lets the candidate know about the exam city they have been allocated.
On the other hand, the NIFT 2027 admit card will contain details like the name and address of the NIFT 2027 exam center allocated to the candidate, roll number, exam date and timings, and exam-day guidelines. This information will not be available on the NIFT city intimation slip.
NIFT Admit card 2027
City Intimation slip should not be confused with NIFT 2027 Admit card. Admit card is out for Stage 1 will be out in the first week of February 2027. Last year, it was released on February 04, 2026. It is released on the website of NTA NIFT. The dates of the NIFT Hall Ticket are not released yet. It is mandatory to take admit card to the centre.

The NIFT Situation Test is a hands-on test that B. Des candidates need to appear in after qualifying the written exam. During the Situation Test the candidate has to make a model. Note that the material for making the model will be provided to the candidate inside the exam hall; no other material expect that provided to the candidate is allowed. So, candidates appearing in the Situation Test must not bring any additional materials for the Situation Test. The Situation Test will be evaluated on the spot. It is mandatory for the candidate to draft a write-up explaining the model.
NIFT exam is among the most competitive and the toughest. So, it is recommended that candidate start their exam preparation in advance, around 1 year before.
The reporting time for NIFT entrance exam will be mentioned on the admit card issued to candidates.
