IIT Kanpur Cutoff 2017: Category-Wise Ranks

IIT Kanpur Cutoff 2017 For General All India Category 

During the IIT Kanpur cutoff 2017, the Round 1 cutoff for BTech ranged between 225 and 4860. The Last Round cutoff for the same ranged from 230 to 5433. Analysing both rounds, CSE has the lowest cutoff compared to other BTech specialisations. Details are tabulated below:

For the OBC ALL India category candidates, the Round 1 and the Last Round closing ranks for BTech in CSE were 115 and 116, respectively. CSE has the lowest cutoff ranks as compared to other BTech specialisations.

Q. How many marks are needed in the JEE advanced to get into the IIT Kanpur CS branch (SC category)?

A. As per the IIT Kanpur cutoff 2017, the Round 1 closing rank for BTech in CSE stood at 75, whereas in the Last round, the closing rank was 75 only for the SC category All India Quota. IIT Kanpur cutoff is based on a three step process. The first one is that the candidates seeking admission in IIT Kanpur must have a valid JEE Main scores in order to appear for JEE Advanced. Once they score well in JEE Advanced, the candidates are called for the JoSAA Counselling for the final admission.
