KCET 2026 Exam: KEA will close the KCET application correction window, on March 30, 2026. Students who successfully submitted the application form will be issued the KCET hall ticket 2026 in the first week of April 2026. KEA announced KCET 2026 exam dates on its official website. The exam is scheduled for April 23 and 24, 2026, covering Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology for engineering and professional courses.

The Kannada Language Test will be held on April 22, 2026. As of Feb 21, 2026 close to 3.2 lakh students have registered for KCET 2026. The Karnataka Common Entrance Test 2026 conducted by KEA, tests candidates preparedness in subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology. The objective of the test is to shortlist candidates for admission into engineering, pharmacy, and other professional courses into participating colleges in the state of Karnataka. What is KCET?

Karnataka Common Entrance Test in short known as KCET 2026, is conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) for admission to undergraduate (UG) courses such as Engineering, Pharmacy, Agriculture and other professional programmes offered by colleges in Karnataka for the 2026 academic session. The exam is also called as UGCET.

Students looking to take admission to Medical or Dental or Ayurveda or Unani or Homoeopathy courses must qualify the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) exam, whereas those seeking admission into the Architecture course through KCET must have qualified JEE Main Paper-2 or NATA to participate in KCET counselling.

KCET Application Form 2026 - Step by Step Registration Guide

KCET Application Correction Window

KCET 2026 application correction facility is available online. Registered candidates can edit or correct the details they have submitted in the KCET application form. The official correction facility is open till March 30, 2026. Candidates do not have to pay any fee to make changes in the form. Since changes can be done once through correction facility, candidates are advised to be careful.

How to edit/correct KCET 2026 application form

  • Visit official website of KEA.
  • On homepage, click on "UGCET-2026 Online Application Edit Link"
  • Log in using credentials such as User ID and Password.
  • Enter a one-time password sent to the registered mobile number for verification.
  • Access editable sections, select "Edit Required," and make the necessary changes.
  • After verifying the changes, click the "Declare" button, followed by "Final Submit".
  • Print the modified application form for future reference during counseling.

What All Edits are Allowed?

Candidate's name (as per SSLC records), Date of Birth, and Gender.
Category/caste details and reservation clauses (e.g., Clause C, D).
Education qualification, study details, and 10th/12th standard register numbers.
Uploading newly obtained certificates or re-uploading photographs/signatures.
SC category candidates must ensure their RD number is updated with the internal reservation details (Category-A, B, or C) by the March 30 deadline to be considered for seat allotment.

Prior to this, the exam body, KEA started the KCET 2026 application form on January 17, 2026, onwards. Students who abide by the eligibility criterion set by KEA could apply till the last date, which was February 27, 2026 (Previous date was Feb 22). For KCET registration 2026, they will had to visit KCET's official URL. The application process of KCET comprises registration, filling form, uploading documents, and payment of the KCET application fee. The KCET 2026 registration was accepted in online mode only. 

Once the application form of KCET 2026 is filled out, students must check all the data before final submission. Students must also not wait till the last date to apply and submit the KCET 2026 application form well in advance to avoid server issues, network lags, or payment failure. There is also a reservation facility for students, and to avail it, students must enter the correct details; otherwise, it can result in rejection at a later stage.

KCET 2026 admit card is expected to be released 10-15 days before the exam date. As the exam is scheduled for April 23 and 24, 2026, we can expect the hall ticket in first week of April. Students will be able to download it from the official website using their login credentials such as application number and password. The Karnataka Examination Authority will issue hall ticket to all candidates who successfully registered for the entrance test.

Applicants appearing in the exam have to carry their KCET hall ticket along with one valid photo ID proof to the exam centre. Candidates are advised to check all details after downloading the KCET admit card 2026. In case of any mistake in the Karnataka CET Hall ticket, applicants are advised to contact the exam authority for corrections.

KCET Exam Pattern 2026 - Time Duration & Marking Scheme

The Karnataka CET exam is conducted in offline pen-and-paper (OMR) format. The KCET 2026 exam pattern is expected to remain similar to previous years unless revised by KEA. The exam is conducted in offline mode. Karnataka Examination Authority uploads the KCET 2026 exam pattern in the official notification PDF. Applicants appearing in the exam are advised to refer to the KCET exam pattern for their preparations. The KCET exam pattern 2026 comprises questions, subjects, a marking scheme, and others. The KCET 2026 provisional answer key and link to raise objections WILL be activated a few days after the exam is conducted. The KCET 2026 answer key will be released for Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Candidates will be able to raise objections till the last date. Candidates must email their objections to the authorities along with the supporting documents. After reviewing all the objections, KEA will release the KCET final answer key and the KCET 2026 results declaration. KEA will also release the KCET 2026 OMR response sheet at the official website. The answer key of KCET 2026 comprises correct answers to all the questions asked in the exam. Applicants are advised to refer to the KCET answer key 2026 to check their expected score before declaring the results.

KCET 2026 Result

KCET Result 2026 will be OUT in May 2026, tentatively. The Karnataka Examination Authority will release the KCET 2026 result online. The KCET 2026 scorecard will be available for download on the official website. The KCET result link 2026 and portal will be LIVE for a time so that candidates can check their qualification status. The login credentials required to check KCET results 2026 are the registration number and the first four characters of the student's name. The scorecard of KCET 2026 comprises scores in individual subjects, rank, personal details, and others. Applicants declared qualified based on results will be called for the counselling process later. The exam authority will also announce the KCET toppers 2026 list for all streams.

KCET 2026 Cutoff

Karnataka Examination Authority will release the KCET 2026 cutoff after the declaration of seat allotment results. KCET cutoff will be released separately for all counselling rounds. Applicants appearing in the counselling process can check the KCET cutoff at kea.kar.nic.in.  

KCET Counselling 2026

KEA will release the KCET 2026 counselling dates online at the official website after the results are declared. Applicants declared qualified based on results will be eligible to participate in the KCET counselling process 2026. The authorities will activate the KCET verification slip 2026 link on the website. Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (BVSc & AH) 

Candidates should pass 2nd PUC / Class 12 and obtain a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subjects (40% for reserved category). 

BPharma 

Passed in 2nd PUC / Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and obtained minimum 45% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology subjects. (40% for reserved category candidates) or 

Passed in Diploma in Pharmacy from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India Under Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act and has secured minimum of 45% marks. (40% for reserved category candidates) 

2nd Year BPharma 

Candidates should have passed Diploma in Pharmacy examination from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India Under Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act and have secured minimum of 45% marks. (40% for reserved category candidates) 

DPharma 

Candidates should pass 2nd PUC / Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics OR 

  

Passed in Diploma in Pharmacy examination from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India Under Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act. 

Naturopathy & Yoga 

Candidates should have passed the qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects and English as one of the languages of study and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects in the qualifying examination is eligible for admission to Naturopathy & Yoga courses (40% for reserved category candidates).
