VITEEE 2026 exam pattern is expected to be released soon. Candidates will be able to access the VITEEE exam pattern 2026 online at viteee.vit.ac.in. Through the VITEEE exam pattern, the candidates will be able to know the details regarding how the examination will be conducted, i.e., the exam mode, duration, type of questions, marking scheme and more. Being familiar with the exam pattern, the candidates will have the advantage since they will know what to expect in the upcoming entrance examination. VITEEE 2026 will be held as a computer-based test for all registered candidates. During the 2-hour and 30-minute exam, the candidates will have to attempt 125 objective multiple-choice questions. The authorities will allot one mark for every correct answer, and there is no negative marking for incorrect answers. VITEEE 2026 Exam Pattern

The authorities will soon release the official VITEEE exam pattern 2025. Once released, the pattern will be updated here. Candidates will be able to attempt VITEEE 2025 as a computer-based test. The exam will not be held in any other mode. For reference, the candidates can check the previous year's VIT exam pattern given below.

VITEEE 2026 Marking Scheme

The candidates need to understand the marking scheme of VITEEE 2026 to prepare for the exam. As per the official marking scheme, the candidates will be allotted one mark for every correct answer. Since there is no negative marking, the candidates are advised to attempt as many questions as they can for a higher chance of scoring well. For every question, there will be various options, and the candidates will have to select the correct answer and submit it.

VITEEE 2026 Exam Pattern - Key Highlights

VITEEE 2026 paper will be divided into five parts for the examination. Each part will have multiple-choice questions, where the candidates will have to select the correct answer and submit it. Out of all the provided options, only one will be the correct answer.

VITEEE 2026 is divided into two types of exams - MPCEA and BPCEA. The candidates will have to attempt their preferred paper as per the subjects they have studied or the course they are applying for.

MPCEA - Candidates appearing in MPCEA (Mathematics/Physics/Chemistry/ English / Aptitude) in VITEEE are eligible for all the B.Tech. Degree programmes

BPCEA - Candidates appearing in BPCEA in VITEEE (Biology/Physics/Chemistry/ English/ Aptitude) are eligible only for B.Tech. Bio-stream Degree programmes are as below.

  • Bio-engineering - VIT Bhopal
  • Biotechnology - VIT Vellore
  • CSE with specialisation in Bioinformatics - VIT Vellore
  • ECE with specialisation in Biomedical Engineering programmes - VIT Vellore
  • But after joining, registering for Mathematics as a bridge course is mandatory
  • The selection of subjects (MPCEA / BPCEA) should be mentioned in the application form itself
  • The questions will primarily be from the State Board of Higher Secondary Education and the CBSE syllabus
  • The aptitude section in VITEEE will be in addition to the subjects, viz. Maths or Biology, Physics, Chemistry, English, and Aptitude. The number of questions for the respective sections in VITEEE will be Maths or Biology (25 questions), Physics (25 questions), Chemistry (25 questions), Aptitude (3 questions) and English (2 questions).
  • The VIT question paper will be in English only.

VITEEE 2026 Syllabus

The authorities will release the VITEEE syllabus 2026 online. The details regarding the subjects, units, and topics to be studied for the entrance examination can be checked through the VITEEE syllabus 2026. No, the students will not be guaranteed admissions if they meet the VITEEE cutoff. However, they will have higher chances of admission if the cutoff is met. Since other factors will also be considered for admission, the students can check the cutoff for their admission chances.

Yes, only the VITEEE scores will be used to prepare the cutoff. Since no other entrance exam score will be accepted for admission, the authorities will prepare the cutoff using the VITEEE scores. While preparing the cutoff, the scores are an integral factor.

Yes, the VIT tuition fee is different for Group A & B courses. The fee will be as per the programme that the students choose to study in the institutes. For Group A programmes, the total annual fee is INR 1,76,000, and for Group B, it is INR 1,98,000.

No. Once the students are allotted through the VITEEE counselling process, they cannot request to change their allotment. Since the allotment is done according to the students' rank and preference, the authorities will not accept any requests to make changes.

The VITEEE counselling fee is INR 5,900 (inclusive of GST). During the counselling registration, the students will have to pay the counselling fee online, i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card/UPI. If the fee is not paid, then the students cannot participate in the counselling process.

Yes, the VIT authorities will release their list of VITEEE 2026 toppers. The top 10 students who have scored the highest ranks in the examination will be announced as the toppers of the examination. The performance of the candidates will be assessed by the authorities.

The VITEEE merit list is prepared after checking the performance of the students in the entrance exam. The merit list will be used to allot the ranks to the students for admission. After the merit list is prepared, the ranks will be announced through the result.
