For VITEEE admissions, there is no specific reservation criteria. Students will be given admission according to their rank in exam, order of preferences, eligibility and availability of seat. Before registration, students should check official eligibility criteria.

Yes, to get admission into the VIT Vellore campus, the students will have to pass VITEEE with a rank upto 1 Lacs. The same eligibility also applies for VIT Chennai campus. If the student has a rank greater than 1 Lac, then they can apply for VIT Andhra Pradesh or Bhopal.

Vellore Institute of Technology has four campuses which offer BTech admission to students. The campuses are VIT Vellore, Chennai, Bhopal and AP.

Students can fill out their choices of VITEEE counselling online. After registering for the counselling, the students will have to fill their choice of BTech courses and campuses in the order of preference. The order is important since it will be considered for allotment. Once the choices are locked, they cannot be changed.

VITEEE 2026 counselling is expected to start in first week of May 2026. Official dates for VIT counselling will be available after result is announced. Candidates will have to register for counselling according to dates specified for their rank. Counselling will be held in different phases for different rank holders.

The VITEEE counselling fee is INR 5,900 (inclusive of GST). During the counselling registration, the students will have to pay the counselling fee online, i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card/UPI. If the fee is not paid, then the students cannot participate in the counselling process.

VITEEE seat allotment will be announced online. The students will be selected according to their rank and preferences. The seats will be allotted in order of preference submitted in the application form. If the seat is unavailable, then the student will be given their next preference.

Students allotted through the VITEEE counselling process cannot request to change their allotment. Since the allotment is done according to the student's rank and preference, the authorities will not accept any requests to make changes.

VIT tuition fee is different for Group A and B courses. Fee will be according to programmes that students have to choose to study in institutes. For Group A programmes, total annual fee is INR 1,76,000, and for Group B, it is INR 1,98,000.

Yes, VIT does offer scholarships to eligible students. In the official website, the VIT authorities have mentioned that the toppers of each board (central or state) are given a 4 year 100% fee waiver under the School Development Programme. Similarly, VITEEE rank holders 1 to 10 are given 100% fee waiver for all four years. VIT rank holders of 11 to 50 are given 75% fee waiver, 51 to 100 ranks a 50% fee waiver, and 101 to 500 rank holders, a 25% fee waiver.

After allotment, the students will have to verify their documents at their respective campus. All original documents and a set of photocopies have to be submitted for verification. The list of documents consists of VITEEE counselling letter, admit card, rank card, 12^th standard marks sheets, reservation certificates, 10^th standard admit card/proof of birth, etc.

After the students are allotted seats, they will have to confirm their VITEEE admission. The tuition fee has to be paid and the students will have to report to their institute for document verification. The original documents and photocopies have to submitted for verification.
