VITEEE 2026 Exam Day Guidelines
The exam guidelines and instructions are like a checklist for students which includes your documents required, reporting time, how to maintain discipline inside the exam hall, etc. These guidelines are important for VITEEE exam process.
The detailed guidelines will be available through the VITEEE admit card 2026. One minor mistake in the document or arrival can lead to disqualification of candidature. Check below to understand the VIT BTech exam day guidelines -
VITEEE 2026 Exam Shift Timings and Reporting Time
The VIT Engineering Entrance Examination will be conducted on multiple dates in two shifts. Candidates can check the VITEEE exam and reporting time below -

What to carry to the VITEEE Exam Centre?
Candidates appearing for the VIT entrance exam must carry the following documents to the exam centre-
- VITEEE admit card (can be downloaded at VIT OTBS portal)
- Original and valid photo ID proof (student identity card/PAN card/Voter ID/Driving License/Aadhar card/Passport/Class XII board admit card with photograph)

Here is a list of guidelines for VIT exam that students must follow -
- First and foremost thing, candidates must reach the VITEEE 2026 exam centre at least 2 hours before the commencement of the test (no late entry will be accepted), and avoid carrying any of the following items -

- Biometric Registration: Once candidates reach the exam centre, they have to undergo biometric registration, which is mandatory, and is a part of the attendance and hall ticket verification process.
Note: Candidates who do not cooperate in VITEEE biometric registration process will not be allowed to attempt exam.
- Biometric authentication will take place again for the shortlisted candidates during the admission.
- Candidates will not be allowed to appear for test centre other than their VITEEE 2026 exam date and time.
- Candidates will be allowed to carry the mentioned documents only.
- Students will be monitored through CCTV individually. Hence, one must be aware of the VITEEE exam hall instructions before attempting test.
- Candidates are not allowed to sit idle for more than 20 minutes and will be inquired by VIT Observer.
- In addition, a rough sheet will be provided inside the exam hall to do calculations. The rough sheet pad must be returned to the invigilator once completed.
- Candidates must follow VIT code of conduct properly till the end of the exam.
Other Important Guidelines for Students appearing VITEEE
- For any technical assistance or first-aid emergency, etc. students must report to the centre superintendent or invigilator in the room.
- If any candidate provides false information, such as appearing in more than one slot, then their candidature will be canceled and result will not be declared.
- For any issues related to computer-based test, students must contact the helpline number 044-46277555.
Candidates are advised to follow the guidelines issued to students. To attempt computer-based test smoothly, it is advised to take VITEEE mock test frequently. VIT will open the mock test link on the official website - vit.ac.in, tentatively in March 2026. Candidates can use these tests to help with their time management skills and accuracy.
