VITEEE Dress Code 2026: The Vellore Institute of Technology does not issue any guidelines regarding VIT exam dress code. However, students are advised to follow guidelines and instructions provided by VIT Group of Institutions to appear for BTech engineering entrance exam.
To attempt VITEEE 2026, students must report to the exam centre at least 2 hours before the commencement of the test. In addition, one must wear light and comfortable clothing, for hassle-free checking. In addition, students must maintain discipline and follow all prescribed VITEEE exam day guidelines along with VIT exam dress code as prescribed by Vellore Institute of Technology. VITEEE Dress Code for Male and Female Candidates
As mentioned above, VIT Vellore does not prescribe any dress code for male and female candidates. But to avoid the frisking process, it is advised that students must wear -
- Formal or semi-formal attire
- Wear light-coloured and loose clothes
- Avoid wearing jewellery or metallic accessories such as belts, caps, thick-soled shoes, mehendi, etc.
- Avoid wearing googles or garments with bold prints.

VITEEE 2026 slot booking is expected to start in second week of April 2026. Official link for slot booking will be available at official website. Students who complete their registration for exam will have to log in and book their preferred slots.
Admission to the VIT Vellore B.Tech course is based on the VITEEE score. VIT Engineering Entrance Exam is a computer-based test conducted for a duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes. The VITEEE question paper consists of 125 questions. The questions will be based on Maths, Physics, Chemistry, English and Aptitude. What not to carry on VITEEE Exam Centre?
Applicants must avoid carrying following items inside the exam hall. Carrying such items can cause complications in verification process. The prohibited items include -
- Stationary items, such as text materials, geometry box, graphs or charts or any study materials.
- Any electronic devices, such as calculators, bluetooth, pagers, digital watches, headphones, etc.
- Wallets, handbags or purses
- Sharp or blunt objects, such as scissors or paper cutter
- Food items or packed food items like juices or snacks

Along with following VIT dress code, students must also carry following documents to the VITEEE exam centre -
- Valid photo ID proof (must be original and not-expired)
- VITEEE admit card 2026 with a watermark on it (must be printed on an A4-size paper)

VITEEE 2026 Exam Day Guidelines
Candidates appearing for VIT 2026 Engineering Entrance Exam must follow the VITEEE 2026 exam day guidelines, which are as follows -
- One must reach the test centre at least 2 hours before
- Once, candidate reach their exam centre, they will have to undergo biometric registration, which is a part of attendance process along with hall ticket verification process. This process will be conducted either before or during exam or both.
- Rough sheet will be provided inside exam hall to do calculations.
- No applicant can leave the exam hall before time.

Inside the exam hall, candidates will be closely monitored through CCTV camera individually. Students must not sit idle for more than 20 minutes on their system.
